My husband and I got the Bambu Special less ice and 75% sweet and Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie. The Bambu Special is usually my go to. It's so refreshing on a hot day! It is coconut juice with toppings. In the future, I would get 50% sweet or less because it was still very sweet. The Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie is basically Vietnamese yogurt with strawberry blended together! The worker was attentive and friendly!

Bambu knows how to make these dessert drinks. I get extra shaved ice because I like to stretch out my drinks. Plenty of seating and parking. However, some characters that loiter around could be a bit annoying and/or scary so location could be an issue here. I usually get the Bambu Favorite so I can have the chewy goodness of all the ingredients. I also like their Thai iced tea. Service is quick and easy. Seating inside, very cozy hanging out.

I love Bambu and try to search for a location whenever I travel. Recently ventured down South for work and found this place. The decor is so pretty, plenty of seating and parking. I ordered my usual favorite, 3 color drink. It was delicious.

1. The drinks were refreshing and not sweet! I really like the density of the mango smoothie! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes! It has a high ceiling! 3. There were many indoor tables! One of my favorites place for desserts! They have a variety of concoctions for smoothies, Chè, fruits mixed with boba and milk tea drinks. The mashed avocado with durian is da bomb! Avocado mixed with all sorts of bobas and a scoop of durian into the mixture. Served with shaved ice and condensed milk! The Chè ba mâu(Tri color) is quite good as well. Not overly sweet and just enough hint of coconut milk within the mixture. Order at the counter and they will call when ready! Cute little place to sit and enjoy your dessert drinks!

Used to go to Bambu in Irvine until it closed down. Stumbled on this place while in Garden Grove. Located across the Regal Movie Theater. Looks like a hole in a wall from outside but is actually quite nice and spacious inside. Decor modern/trendy with lots of comfy bench seating. Ordered my go-to #1 Special with Lychee instead of Longan. About $10 for a Large. Tasted just like I remembered. Sweet, refreshing, lots of soft green jelly, coconut, lychee, basil seeds, coconut water, shaved ice. They have a kiosk for orders as well but no option to sub items. No complaints.

my friends and i were craving bambu and decided to come to this location instead of the one in westminster. the aesthetic of this location is extremely cute and clean. upon entering, we noticed that there was only one worker doing both front and back of the house duties. i ordered the awesome trio while my friend ordered #10. we waited around 5-10 minutes before receiving our order, which is pretty fast for a one man team. the dessert was delicious & i would definitely come back!

Walking into the place, the decorations are warm and bright. Beautiful decor of city and nature settings. Plenty of seating with bright colored booth seats. They have so many photos of the menu items that lists ingredients to help make a decision. We ordered #2 (Bambu Combo) and #10 (Bambu Favorite). The decision I tried to make was to avoid coconut meat since I'm not into coconut (but the milk is good though). You order at the kiosk and staff is friendly, we asked if they serve just the ice cream itself (since I saw mango and ube flavored ice cream) but they directed us to packaged ice cream in the freezer at the front. We ordered and got a number, sat down to wait, and once we got our order we decided to take it to go and explore a nearby Asian supermarket! The drinks were delicious, I very much preferred the Bambu favorite but both were great. Usually, after mixing everything, I would eat it with a spoon. But instead I waited for the ice to melt and used a boba straw to drink everything.

My review is based on the cumulative times I've been here but the drinks have always been pretty solid. However the staff is not always very knowledgeable about their drinks. This being said, their online ordering makes things so much easier. Would still come back though

One of my favorite dessert spots to go to! Bambu never disappoints. Upon entering, the shop is well-decorated and the atmosphere was cozy and charming, which made it felt inviting and relaxing--perfect for enjoying some delicious desserts or drinks. I got the Fruit Addict, and my boyfriend got the Taro Lover. Both were super refreshing and satisfying in their own way. The Fruit Addict was packed with a variety of fresh fruits, jellies, and coconut milk, creating the perfect balance of textures and flavors. It wasn't too sweet, and each bite had a fun mix of fresh, juicy elements. It felt like a dessert and a drink all in one. My boyfriend's Taro Lover was rich, creamy, and comforting. If you love taro, this one's a must. The taro was earthy and sweet, and the combination with coconut milk made it extra indulgent without being too heavy. Service was quick and friendly, and everything tasted super fresh. Bambu has something for everyone, from che, milk tea, fruit tea to smoothies, refreshers and so much more! We'll definitely be back to try more!

Craving for a typical Vietnamese dessert so we stopped by and got it to go. The menu has a lot to choose from and majority are quite good. Good service and easy going for order and quick turn around. Amazing variety of ice blended fruit drinks, Vietnamese ice coffee and waffles. I was down here for the holidays and basically got my coffee fix and other drinks from here everyday trying all the different drinks. I like the coconut based drinks and the Bambu Special and Fruit Addict are my favorites. The Avo Coffee was good as well as the Vietnamese coffee. They'll make it to your taste of really strong coffee. read more

This location just recently opened, so I decided to try it out. First impressions were that the owners were very nice and patient as my boyfriend and I decided what to get. Their menu has a large variety of fruit teas, milk teas, and smoothies. So far, we've had some smoothies, fruit teas, milk teas, and coffee. The drinks taste very good and fresh; you can tell they put effort into their drinks. My boyfriend and I LOVE their Vietnamese iced coffee. My boyfriend, who is from Vietnam, says this place is one of the very few in OC that serve authentic Vietnamese iced coffee. Would definitely recommend this place! read more

This is my new Bambu location when I'm in OC. I stopped going to the Little Saigon location for multiple reasons. The shop is spacious and welcoming. The owners are pleasant too! Same high standard of quality like most of the Bambu locations I've been too. I almost always get the Bambu special but I got the Bambu favorite today. Great tasting che with a pandan waffle. I'll be back next time I'm in OC. read more

One of the best spot for Vietnamese desserts and sugar cane with Vietnamese kumquat aka calamansi in OC. This is the only Bambu spot I go to because the owners are always so welcoming and take great care of preparing my orders. The place is really well decorated and clean. A MUST TRY if you're around the area! read more

My very first experience was impressive. Cute and comfortable interior (Paris street scene) with friendly staff. I ordered the yogurt combo w/ mango, strawberry and blueberry. It was a little pricey at $6.50 but HUGE! The ingredients were fresh, not too sweet, and utterly delicious. I am anxious to share this place with friends and family. read more

Went here to catch up with one of my friends, we both had dinner so wanted something light. We both got the #1. It was super refreshing, highly recommended if you want something thats not too sweet but still yummy. Nice ambiance, very decorative hahah. Its interesting. Owner is also super nice. My friend and I didnt realize that it was past closing by 30 minutes and no one ever came by to kick us out. Overall, good place to catch up with friends or grab a quick dessert. read more

Came here on a Friday, they have a nice and spacious store, which is nicer than the location on Bolsa, and is a perfect location for a meet up with friends. I ordered CHÈ (not boba duh because they're known for chè, a Vietnamese dessert). I ordered chè đc bit (number 3) with ice on the side and one sugar cane juice. Their chè is good as always, pandan jelly was delicious. Sugar cane juice was made fresh. The service was good too. I got my order in less than 5 minutes. Overall I had a pleasant experience and will definitely come back again. read more

Very disappointed with the service from this specific location. VERY POOR!!!I was coming from LA to meet my friend in OC and I had asked her to order 3 waffles with durian from BAMBU. The receipt showed that she paid for a waffle with Durian but they cheated her with 3 plain stale and dried out waffles instead. When I called and insisted to send them the picture of the waffles, they said there's nothing they can do. I'd double check for your order first before you leave their store... what's sad is that they don't practice good customer service ... they were the ones who made the mistake and they were not willing accept it and to top it off they made the customer paid for it...bad business practice...Not coming back to support their business... I've been going to the one on Bolsa...the sitting may not be as nice, but they definitely make the drinks and waffles much better than the one on Chapman (with better customer service) I had to give a star in order to write this review. This store puts a very modern spin on your traditional Che dessert! I got the fruit addict and loved the variety of fruits that come with it! This Bambu joint deserves more customers. The place is beautifully decorated, great for hanging out with families and friends. I came into this "new" desert store and got a warming welcome from the cashiers and waiters who had provided exceptional service. My desert was the bambu favorite which was made to order and came out surprisingly fast. It was very yummy and refreshing and the waffles are to die for. read more

I have never tried this type of dessert before but I came in because I was nearby and I am so happy I did! I got the Che Favorite which came with Pandan jelly, grass jelly, red tapioca, and coconut milk. It was sooooooo delicious! I'm obsessed. I really love grass jelly so I am so happy I found this place. It tastes perfect, and it is healthy enough to eat and not feel guilty. It's also pretty low cal based on what I saw on the nutrition guide online. It was really cute inside and the decoration was so pretty. I can't wait till I'm in the area again to stop by :) read more

The employees took way too long to make 2 simple drinks that I ordered. I ordered an oolong milk tea and Thai tea which are two very basic type of drinks to make so I don't know what the issue is with making them. Also, the seal was not properly placed and when I brought it into my car, it spilled everywhere and left stains. I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon and if I did, I'd probably wait until next year when the employees have more experience and are more professional. The drinks themselves were mediocre, but I wouldn't recommend coming here. read more

Established in 2019.

In 2008, four Vietnamese sisters - Anh, Kelly, Jenny & Julie - open their first Bambu Shoppe in the heart of the Vietnamese community in San Jose, California. Their exceptionally friendly service and large menu of fresh, healthy, and authentic Ch® dessert drinks, crisp boba milk teas, signature Vietnamese coffees, real fruit smoothies, and exotic juices captured the attention of the entire San Francisco Bay Area.
