Thought it was kyoto gyukatsu and came into a thai place. Before entering, there were alot of peope sitting and facing the diners so i thought they were doing training but it was just where everyone was waiting at. Not sure if they are grand opening or soft opening but they are utilizing just half the store for now. I love the chicken wings. It taste like lemon pepper and they have chilli flakes on the side if you want it spicy. I prefer bangkok thai tea but if you want a stronger coffee flavor id recommend phuket. I also liked the thai boat but i got medium spicy and it was really spicy for me. The bbh lime was not for me it tasted like peanut and lime.

I'm so happy Bangkok Broth House opened up in Alhambra! I've been seeing their TikToks for the other location, and once they posted that they're opening in Alhambra, I had to stop by. I went on their very first night of soft opening a little after 8pm. I originally planned to dine in, but since all the tables were taken, I decided to order to go. Classic Boat Noodle - I ordered mine with thin noodle, pork, medium spicy, and no bean sprouts (not a fan of bean sprouts). The dish as a whole was so satisfying; the bowl came with pork balls and pieces of pork spare rib and pork meat. The broth itself was rich, bold, and deep in flavor. The medium spicy level also was pretty spicy, and I loved every bite of it. Larb Wings - I originally ordered the Hat Yai Wings, but was told they ran out and asked if it would be okay to switch it out for the Larb Wings (I was totally fine with it). For ordering to go, the wings were still crispy and crunchy when I got home. The larb flavor was also really nice - it was bright and citrusy, and the toasted rice powder really enhanced the flavor too. Thai Tea - I actually didn't order this, but was given this on the house (I assumed because I was waiting for my order for a long while). I really enjoyed it because it wasn't too sweet nor creamy, and the tea flavor was more prominent. To me, this meant that I could enjoy sips of it more without it getting to heavy. When you come visit, do note that they took over the old Kyoto Gyukatsu establishment (signs haven't been changed as of yet), and half of the restaurant is currently available for seating. Overall for a very first day of soft opening, I think the restaurant did an amazing job. Service was also super friendly, and they went above and beyond with the Thai Tea (totally did not have to!). I saw glimpses of the Khao Soi, which looked absolutely amazing, so I definitely want to try that & especially the Hat Yai Wings for next time!

I was so excited when I saw that BBH was coming to the 626 area! I absolutely love their boat noodle soup when I tried it in OC. I got their Larb Spicy Wings, Classic Boat Noodle Soup, and Fried Tofu. All exceeded my expectations and it was delicious!! I will say their Khao Soy was a little saltier than I expected though. But, I also love their Bangkok thai tea but their Phuket one is also super good just darker tea flavor. The wait was about an hour at 7:30 PM on a Friday night for 6 people. You put your name down on a paper waitlist and wait for it to get called out. The workers were also super sweet and nice. I anticipate this location doing really well. The inside has a fair amount of seating but you can still expect a long wait.

Tried a new spot in Alhambra; great Thai food. Went with their classic boat noodles in pork, and the wife got the same with beef. Overall, the noodles were amazing, and I understood why it was highly recommended. Was hoping to try their stir-fry drunken noodles but heard the wait was going to be long; it was already a busy store, and it looked like they did not have enough staff, so be prepared to wait. Their service was great, but they need to hire more people. My only other suggestion was that I wish their restroom had a changing table for babies, but overall it's still a must-try stop if you're in the area!

Finally, some legit Thai food in Alhambra! We went during their soft opening and were seriously impressed. The krapow beef was SOOOO good -- cooked dry just like in Thailand. The holy basil fried rice with beef short ribs tasted amazing and perfectly braised -- definitely one of our favorites. Larb chicken wings are another must try -- got some kick. And the Phuket-style Thai tea was strong, fragrant, and not too sweet -- totally hit the spot. Their portions are big and worth the price. Can't wait to come back once they're fully settled in and the full menu is out. Definitely a new favorite in Alhambra!

Every dish was absolutely delicious, and I was very impressed! I'll definitely be coming back again. The staff provided excellent service. Highly recommend this restaurant!

    beef boat noodles

This was one of the BEST Thai boat noodles I've ever had. Came on a Thursday evening at 5:30 pm and got seated right away; however, the waitlist did form shortly after. Ordered the beef boat noodles. The spice levels range between (1) mild, (2) medium, (3) spicy, (4) Thai spicy. I got level 3 - my bowl loaded with spices and did not disappoint! Noodle options are (1) thin rice noodles aka pho or (2) egg noodles. I prefer pho noodles. The broth was thick and flavorful. There were not a lot of veggies in the noodle soup dish. Most of the greens were just for garnish. Staff are very friendly and attentive. They're constantly refilling water and ensuring that everything is satisfying. Definitely wanting to come back to try other items on the menu.

Growing up, I've always traveled to Thailand every summer vacation with my family. I fell in love with the cuisine and flavors there. Eating the Rib Beef Boat Noodles truly brought me back to my memories. I've had great thai food growing up in LA and yet I've never found a dish as authentic and well spiced as Bangkok Broth House. The servers were kind and worked fast despite the flood of customers. Though the restaurant was still embroidered in the previous tenant's design, it was still very nice and clean. I came here with my huband and we both really enjoyed our meals. We love that the owners are not afraid to dull down the spice and flavors that Thai food should be known for.

Today was their soft opening, so the hubbie and I came in afterwork. The food was good. We order the fish ball platter, kaprao on tray and the lime broth chicken noodles. The soup was super flavorful. Would come back again. Ate all of the like broth noodles before a photo was able to be taken.

    Outside sign

Randomly came across this place on my Tiktok fyp and it did not disappoint! Came during the soft opening and there was a little bit of wait but it was worth. For starters, we had the BBH wanton which was soft and perfectly cooked. We also had the steamed mussels which was definitely one of my favorites. It tasted very fresh and the thai lime chili sauce just had the right amount of spice If you like lemon grass especially, you'll love this one. The boat noodles broth was perfectly savory and flavorful. No notes. (see beef short rib for size comparison) Overall, food was amazing can't wait to come back and try the full menu!

It's simple what they do well here, they make darn good food that tastes like homemade food (healthy and delicious), they price everything on the menu very reasonably (especially in these crazy times), and they treat all their customers like family/neighbors. Now that I've given you the why, let's move on to the good food. We usually order the beef noodle soup because of how tender the meat is and the soup & noodles are just perfect comfort food. And we always pair it with veggies (garlic cucumbers or water spinach) and pork dumplings are also amazing. Almost any of their braised meat rice/noodles are just really good (popular ones are braised pork rice or braised chicken leg rice). Interior space is also very roomy and comfortable for big groups or cozy meals Parking is pretty easy since they have a lot in their back entrance and they used to let you park underground as well but the building's new management started closing the gates at 6pm because they're just sad and unfriendly human beings lol but luckily the surrounding area has many places to park.

After tasting the food and the Braised Beef Noodles, I can tell it's really tasty and light, with no harsh components that make you thirsty and want to drink more water. So far, my family and I have really enjoyed the food here. Definitely will return and try other delicious foods next time.

Beef roll looked more like a giant taco but was also excellent. In the most convoluted sequence of restaurant occupancy in the annals of Chinese restaurants in the United States, Noodle King has supplanted Rice Hero/Hero's Kitchen/In Joy Lunch in Alhambra in the space formerly occupied by a different restaurant named Noodle King in the 1980s and 1990s. There's a lot to explain here. I used the compound name for the previous occupant because the name on the front entrance was Rice Hero, the back entrance said Hero's Kitchen and the digital menus said In Joy Lunch. I say the old restaurant was supplanted, not replaced, because the old restaurant sort of still hangs around, with a tiny sheet of paper with all 3 old names taped to the front door, and many old dishes still on the menu. Why the three names I don't know. In Joy Lunch had been a popup that operated during lunch hour serving Dongbei food in a space in YYDS Fried Strings in Rosemead. In Joy Lunch then struck out on their own last year with this space in Alhambra, adding the new names. The old Noodle King had been a Taiwanese noodle fixture before moving out in 2003. Since the new Noodle King also serves some of the Rice Hero/Hero's Kitchen/In Joy Lunch items, the same name seems to be just a coincidence. But despite holdover menu items the staff clearly say they're a new restaurant, with the Noodle King himself greeting you at the front entrance and the signage in both front and back now say Noodle King.

Everything came out piping hot and packaged well for takeout. We only waited about 15min, which was not bad at all. We really liked the siu mai and chow fun. Both were savory and addicting. Siu mai were especially juicy and meaty; they definitely satisfied our dim sum cravings. Soup dumplings were ok - I found the wrapper to be doughy and the filling kinda plain. The black sesame roll had an interesting rolled look and a sticky, chewy, jelly-like texture. It tasted like lightly sweetened black sesame paste mixed into what seemed like a combination of mochi and agar. The small parking lot in the back is free. Pork Ramen: 3/5 They give you a hefty amount of noodles and pork. They use a thin noodle here which pairs well with the broth. I truly do believe this was around average for ramen as the flavor in the broth was not as strong or savory. The highlight of the entire entree was definitely the pork, which was tender and flavorful. I probably would not order this again. Pork bun: 5/5 The pork buns were soft and fluffy, almost too good looking to eat. There was the right amount of soup and meat inside that made for a wonderful bite full of flavor. Not dry at all. Would recommend ordering this if you visit. Pork Dumplings: 5/5 The star of the show, the dumplings. They were soft and just like the buns, they had the right amount of soup + meat which made for a delicious bite every time. My toddler even ate some and she's usually super picky about meat.
