Very nice restaurant with excellent food and great service. Highly recommend it. We had the flatbread to start. For dinner we had pork OssoBuco, and the Korean Galbi Agnolotti pasta, and roasted Delicata Squash. For dessert, Cara Cara Semifredo and coffee. The bread was very light with an excellent flavor, and the pepperoni butter was amazing. Both entrées were delicious and, though I like vegetables, they're never my favorite thing. But in this case the Delicada squash was the best dish I've eaten in a long time. I'd love to know the recipe. The squash was caramelized and had a sauce of hazelnuts and tarragon. That dish was just out of this world. Dessert of Cara Cara Semifredo and coffe service put it over the top. Nothing negative to say about dinner or service. The restaurant is a very cute relaxed atmosphere, and the bartender makes an excellent whiskey sour. Service was top notch. Can't recommend it enough. read more

This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time! From the ambiance, to the service to the food and drinks, everything was delightful. The decor is industrial chic but somehow also cozy/inviting. The service was impeccable. The bartender and waitstaff were all friendly and knowledgeable. We shared the much-hyped fry bread as an appetizer and it actually lived up to the hype! I had the pork coppa and my friend had the steak and we both enjoyed our entrees. We shared a dessert that was unusual in that it featured a beignet type fritter that was made from carolina gold rice. It was paired with Georgia peaches and it was delicious. They also provided us with a complimentary dessert wine. All in all, a wonderful evening. I highly recommend Banshee for an after work drink at the bar, an evening with friends or a romantic dinner. Banshee is a great eatery that is located in a hip neighborhood. They take their vaccine requirement seriously and I think that each of their dishes are something distinct and noticeable. Note: the fry bread is something that is noteworthy (multiple orders) and the wine is great too. Other than their staples, their menu does fluctuate a bit so I wanted to comment on the general vibe and service. Generally, I think the service is on point and all the flavors are great. I will say though that the flavors are a bit salty, especially if you're used to home cooking during the pandemic. That said, they try to bring in all sorts of flavors from different types of cuisines, so I would say the place is a 4 to 4.5 and if you easy off on the sodium I'd definitely rate it as a 5. For now, given that it survived through the pandemic, I'll put it as a 5. read more

The service was ok. Nice staff, but the quality of attention and serving was no where near the cost of their food. Every canned beer that was poured was done at the table and almost half the pints were foam. How a server can pour so poorly and hand it off like it's fine is beyond me. The cocktails were not great. They were all about a 6/10. The worst being their Blackest Heart. Overly sweet, can't taste the rye, and way too much lemon. The drink didn't make much sense according to their description. The waiter also said that would be the booziest cocktail, I swear it had more sugar than booze. The food was ok. The fry bread tasted slightly undercooked (texture and taste). It was good tortilla, but it was literally two pieces of tortilla and some butter for $10. Insane pricing. The kebabs were also $16 for 2 kabobs. I was shocked by the amount of meat they have on it, so little meat. When the kebabs came out I figured "oh there's two 6 inch skewers packed with lamb, ok I guess" but no. It was maybe 1/2 lamb and the rest of cut pineapple. They season the heck out of it and blacken it all so it all looks the same, but not much meat. The entrees were also ok. But $47 for a NY Strip and the staff didnt ask how want it cooked...? It came out precut. It was an expected amount of meat but it was overcooked, a very fatty cut, and just a messy plate. The fish was overcooked, the pork was overcooked, everything was tough, flavor was ok. Overall experience sucked. Couldn't flag a waiter down for more drinks, the drinks we had were mediocre, they price for an exceptional sit down dinner and you walk out wishing you got Taco Bell or food from a nearby tent smoking meat. The entrance smells of trash, the area is crawling with homeless or dirty people. Oh, last thing. When they brought out their espresso martinis and it looked like chocolate milk with NO FOAM HEAD... again, the staff overlooks the most obvious issues and serves I'll quality food for a price that they then add 4% to for employee health insurance. Never going to that part of Atlanta again. 2 stars because I did like the kebabs, just terrible portions. read more

Wow - this place is absolutely delicious. I had the corn lasagna and I cannot say enough about how flavorful and delicious it was! Rich without being overwhelming! The fry bread is a delight and they can easily make it vegetarian. The staff is lovely - they are able to offer great recommendations for any dietary needs and know the wine list like the back of their hand. The space itself is cozy and cool. There aren't a ton of tables but getting a reservation is fairly easy. Honestly, one of the best meals I've had in a LONG time. read more

Banshee is a gem. It always provides a solid delicious drink and food program with impeccable service. I recommend reservations if you wish to dine here. There are many seating options. You can eat at the beautiful bar, at tables in the dining hall, or sit on the enclosed patio. If you have a big group, there is room in the front at a big table. Their menu changes with the seasons, so know you might be unable to order what you see in the pictures. My delectable drink was Taccato. It was concocted with tawny port, bourbon, meletti, fernet, lemon, and nutmeg. My hubby went with his standard vodka soda. My second drink was a glass of Cotes du Rhone, one of the few red glasses you can order. One thing you can always get is the fry bread with pepperoni butter. Oh, melt in your mouth. The butter is so good, and sometimes they sell it to go. I picked the grilled grouper as my entree, which was so delicious. The grouper was cooked with maitake, bok choy, tangerine, dashi broth, and garlic chili oil. My hubby picked the Tagliatelle with short rib galbi jjim ragu, cotija, and scallion. I tried the tagliatelle, and it was good, but I'm not a rib fan, so I couldn't have too much. My hubby loved it. This is a must if you want an extra special meal. read more

Pep butter wasn't as flavorful as I expected. 2) Squash: sweet rings of squash, it's squash. 3) Chicken cannelloni: I was very confused bc I expected this to be a pasta dish but they were rolled tortillas filled with the bean mixture and then a thigh of chicken on the side. Could've used more flavor. 4) Korean short rib agnolotti: yummy, citrusy 5) Tagliatelle al tartufo: my favorite, just the perfect truffley pasta dish, noodles were perfect, Parmesan crisp on top added amazing texture. Had a wonderful date night experience at Banshee. This was a last minute pick for us, so my expectations were not that high. We did not make reservations, and there were no tables available so we ate at the bar. We were greeted by Nicki who was very pleasant and was excited about the food they had to offer. I had a Stately Hag cocktail which was light and refreshing, and my wife wanted a Shirley Temple. Unfortunately they didn't have grenadine, but Nicki concocted a drink with some sweetened cherries and ginger ale that my wife enjoyed. We started with their Fry Bread which was similar to a nan bread, and with their pepperoni butter that was AMAZING! I wanted to order three more orders. It comes two pieces of bread to an order and it is a Must Try. We also had the Tiger Salad which was very good. Lightly dressed greens of cilantro, kohlrabi, which is like a green turnip, and celery lightly dressed in a vinaigrette. The salad also comes with some smoked tofu which I wasn't a fan of, but that didn't take away from the salad. For entrees I had the tagliatelle pasta with short ribs which went perfectly with the cool evening. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the ragu sauce with the tender short rib meat was scrumptious. My wife had the Sweet potato agnolotti which came with lamb meat and rosemary almonds. The pasta was also cooked perfectly and flavors were reminiscent of Indian food with your turmeric and curry flavor profiles. We shared a side of broccolini with mint salsa verse and cornmeal streusel that looked like sweet potato cookie crumbles. It was a very interesting combination. We finished the night with their fried apple pie which is not meant to share. It comes plated with shaved Granny Smith apples and a scoop of coffee mousse which I did not care for. This was a great spot that I can see coming back to for drinks and conversations since it is in the heart of the East Atlanta village. I would make a reservations if you prefer a proper sit down dinner though. Also the menu is seasonal so you may not get these items come spring but you will still be able to get the Fry Bread! read more

I've lived in East Atlanta for Almost two decades and it's a shame that I had never visited Banshee before now! The service is great and the food is delicious! We ordered the black garlic mezzaluna with pho broth and fry bread as appetizers. Both were very tasty. I especially enjoyed the pepperoni butter that came with the bread. For entrees I ordered the grilled grouper and my bf got the tagliatelle with short rib. The grouper was uniquely paired with bok choy, tangerines, and mushrooms in a broth. The grilled flavor was great and it was overall tasty. I REALLY enjoyed getting a couple of bite of the tagliatelle with short rib! It was a tad sweet and oh so savory. If the tagliatelle is on the menu when we go back it'll definitely be my entree choice! Last, for dessert we shared the blood orange chocolate tart. I was afraid that the hazelnut would be too overpowering, but it was just right. Overall, I give Banshee two thumbs up. The food, service, and ambiance were on point. read more

Covid vax card required to sit down. Not a negative test from 48 hours in advance, as you might find with most things. Such as traveling to another country. Once we made it past the host and were seated our waitress was outstanding. She was at our table every step of the way and we truly felt taken care of. The pepperoni butter is not at all what you think it is going to be. It comes out. With two pieces of small salted round flat bread and smear of the butter. The price point for this app is making the a fortune, I would skip it. There simply wasn't enough of the promised pepperoni butter. The steak dish came with 4 small pieces and for the price point can not be priced or listed as a meal. The wedge salad is beautiful looking as was the star delivery. The pastas were decent and played well. This place has a ton of potential in the neighborhood of EAV, however with their rolling/changing menu I would recommend keeping an eye on portions to ensure guest who are paying a premium are satisfied. Now BANSHEE doesn't have an extensive menu, but what's on it is top tier! The FRY BREAD is INSANE. I couldn't even tell you what they do to it, but man is it amazing. Now I had a pasta with some sort of lamb ragout that was heavenly, but I believe the menu changes occasionally. If my dish was any indication of what the rest of the menu has to offer, it would behoove you to get there ASAP and dive into the menu feet first! *Word to the wise...apparently I'm a lil late discovering this hidden gem in EAV, but make sure you MAKE A RESERVATION!! All the locals have already caught wind of what Banshee has to offer. It's easy to miss over on Glenwood Dr, but there's ample parking in the back. It's deceiving at first but there's literally 2 full bars and quite the ambiance. Oh and it's open late!!! So pull up and get into it!! read more

I really wanted to love Banshee. The menu is as unique as the neighborhood but let's start with the service. My husband and I walked in and nobody was manning the host station. We waited looked around, and then finally someone appeared to seat us. And when they did, they sat us next to open garage doors at 8pm at night. It was freezing so I asked for the indoor heat lamp to be turned on. It was broken. Finally after asking three different people they closed it. Our waitress was, bless her heart, not cut out for the service industry. Besides lacking any friendliness or personally, she described everything so inaccurately that when they dropped some of our dishes off we were confused and had to send one back. She actually tried to drop a bill off at our table, that belonged to the table next to us, before we even got our apps. Now for the food: fry bread, scallops, pork cheek, shrimp pasta, fish, and the banana four ways for dessert. The only thing I would go back for is the fry bread and the veggie component from the pork cheek app. Everything else came out cold and under seasoned. The banana desert is perplexing and not in a good way - the "banana pudding" was frozen and the meringue that our waitress described as a "baked Alaska" was anything but. A fabulous dinner experience here this past weekend. We made reservations for the popular place in east atlanta village on Saturday at 6pm. I would suggest making a reservation, especially on popular days like the weekends. The inside isn't huge and they have limited seating, but it's a vibe. We were quickly greeted by our friendly servers who went over the menu with us. We started by ordering some drinks - a cocktail and a glass of wine. I got the stately hag cocktail. It was delicious. We then ordered our food. We started with the fry bread with pepperoni butter. It came out quickly and was fresh and hot. So delicious. Salty and buttery. A great start to the meal. For our entree, we split the sweet potato agnolotti and got the roasted delicata squash as a side dish. The agnolotti was fabulous. We loved all the flavor combinations with the lamb sugo. The squash was also fabulous. It was served with a whipped cream cheese which complimented the sweet delicata squash nicely. We loved our dinner! I came here for the first time a few weeks ago with a few friends and was extremely impressed. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and entrees and shared. What an absolute delightful experience dining here. We have been multiple times and always look forward to coming up as the menu changes. The pepperoni butter is amazing! We usually end up here with 6-8 people and order all of the plates to share menu style. The cocktails are a home run too! The service is attentive, but leaves enough distance to enjoy conversation. Went here last month. And I still cannot get over the meal I had here. It was a pasta dish with mushrooms and fennel. It was just so well done. I never order pasta dishes but this was absolutely amazing. The place just had a really nice feeling as soon as you walked in. Our waitress was so sweet and just laid back. Helped us decide which cocktails to order. We also got the fry bread and shrimp tortellini for apps. This menu is very creative. People who appreciate creative and inspired meals will find Banshee to be a new favorite. The decor and ambience felt fancy-ish but chill. A place you could dress down or dress up and not feel weird. I expected a vibrant cocktail lounge scene for a Friday night around 10pm but instead it was pretty dead (especially compared to other places immediately surrounding it). The lowdown: -The tunes were good until someone changed a really good song right in the middle, and went in a totally different direction -As of 7/23/2022, they're still requiring proof of vaccination to enter..which is pretty weird tbh given that the area they're in/crowd they serve is pretty likely to be vaxed anyways, but I digress. -Bartender was nice and whipped up a delicious margarita using rose water- light, refreshing, and not too sweet! -I didn't get to try the food but the menu looks limited but good. We arrived early for our reservation on a Thursday night and were seated immediately! My friend and I decided to order to share family style. We ordered the tagliatelle (short rib galbi jjim ragu, cotija, scallion) and the grilled flat iron steak (mushroom sformato, blistered shishitos, green peppercorn cream). The tagliatelle had a LITTLE kick to it, but wow. We were stunned when we took that first bite, it was so flavorful. Highly recommend trying this. The flat iron steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare. Just how we like it. The combination of all parts of the dish was genius. Our waitress was super nice and quick. I have enjoyed Banshee in the past, but this time around there were just so many misses. Our waitress rushed us the entire night, and seemed intoxicated. From the website, I understood that we had our table for two hours. She pushed for our food orders, rushed to clear our table, and then rushed us to pay the bill as soon as she put it down. On top of that, it was my friends birthday, and we had brought a dessert from home (I called in advance to confirm this was allowed) When we arrived, I gave it to her on a covered plate and let her know that there were candles inside to light when she brings it to the table! Nope! She just brought out the plate still covered in plastic wrap and just said "here's your little cake"! So rude. The food was good, but certainly not worth the price point. Overall, just a disappointing experience, mainly as a result of our server. read more
