This was our second or third visit and it had been quite some time since the last visit. Certainly pre pandemic. We remembered really enjoying our meal back then, but disappointed this time. Mainly, all of the dishes we ordered, including the pizza, were overwhelmingly salty; the salad, the pork ragu, the asparagus prosciutto pizza. It was layers and layers of salt, sprinkled with more salt on the top! The cheese was salty, the pork was salty, the sauce was salty, the lettuce was salty, thank god the server was attentive with the water refills! Couldn't finish the pizza or the ragu, although the parsnip/potato puree it was served over was interesting and tasty, not too salty. The actual asparagus on the pizza was nicely cooked and not salty, and the one thing that I was expecting to be salty, the cod balls, wasn't, a whipped filling, it was nice. But geez, lay off the salt on everything else! My mouth was stinging from the sodium overload, and it overpowered any other flavors. This place has amazing pizzas as well as salads. We also had a delicious butternut squash risotto. We ate here prior to a game and the service was wonderful. Everyone very friendly and got us out in plenty of time to head to the game. Super cute outdoor area with heaters which is great with the weather turning cooler. Came here again for the first time since we moved to the Eastside and the food truly is 5 stars but I knocked off a star for an incident mid-meal. In the past they did not have reservations and you would wait for a very long time in a very noisy environment as those waiting for a table would crowd around the bar so I am very happy that they have introduced reservations now so you aren't waiting for hours and the noise level is lower now. The reason I docked a star is because we were moved after being seated for about 20 minutes as they told us they made a mistake on where we were supposed to be seated. Not a huge deal except I honestly don't even know if we got an apology from the man (I think he was one of the owners) who said we had to move and it was a bit of an inconvenience to get up and move our stuff and carry our drinks across the restaurant to another table after being seated for that duration. They carried our salad to the new table at least but that was really all they did for our move. The food however is exemplary as it has always been and that is why you come here. My cocktail was fantastic and our arugula salad was a nice fresh start to the meal. The suppli al telefono is a must and something we have ordered every time we come here. Their octopus has never let us down as it is always tender and delicious no matter how it is prepared and served. Finally the pizza is sensational. Without a doubt one of the best pizzas I've ever had and on this occasion we got the corno di capra because their house made sausage is delicious. To finish we got a huckleberry panna cotta which was light and not overly too sweet and a great way to end the meal. We will definitely return because the food is 5 stars and I do not think all the service was bad as the host was kind and the guy who helped us at our second table was great as well as he was also making drinks at the bar. It was just the person who moved us mid meal was a bit off-putting but I do recommend going for the food. read more

One of my favorite Neapolitan pizza spots in the city and one of the best vibes in the city as well. This place always shows up on the best pizza place showdown for Seattle each year and it certainly does not disappoint. I've come here twice in the last year both for very different occasions and it's fit the bill each time. The first was in my birthday, I came with just my partner on a weeknight and we were seated at the bar. A toasty interior in the summer but the food was great. Their Negroni is my favorite in the city! The next time I came was the day after thanksgiving with a large group. The vibe was equally good and the food was perfection. We especially loved a seasonal squash risotto and the olive oil. An outstanding part of both experiences was the service, which is always friendly and helpful. We had some serious allergies to accommodate in the larger group and our server was so helpful in finding things we could enjoy. it says a lot about a place when you go to make a reservation and all tables are booked ahead of an upcoming weekend during the prime dining window of 5-8:30pm. it tells you people want to come here but so did we! i've heard about bar del corso for so long and tried to make it here sooner but all kinds of unforeseen situations prevented it...until today. they're not open on sundays. then there was the lack of pre-planning (aka making a reservation well enough in advance.) today we would not be deterred, even by a 4:45pm reservation! we got seated on the patio out back and they promptly turned on the propane heaters which made it a great choice. even before 5pm, a lot of the indoor tables were already occupied with food and drink having been delivered. we got drinks and appetizers, both of which were fabulous! the arancini and bacalla were great, with the latter pillowy soft and exceptionally light and flavorful. our drinks were all amazing. i had two anisettes which tasted a lot like a mojito with an anisé twist and perfectly complimented the food we ordered. we also got the beet salad and the burrata before the romana pizza. again, everything was amazing. portions were spot on and the prices were more than reasonable. we couldn't not do dessert so went for the pan a cotta which may have been the best i've ever had (think creamy yogart-like consistency) and a meyer lemon cake with cream. if i had to find fault with anything at all, it would be that the arancini might have been a tad too overdone but the the meal as a whole was delicious, reasonably priced and filling. nthe service was great, the patio ended up being a great place to sit and i left feeling like i want to find time to come back again soon! read more

Pizza (crust) was delicious, got the funghi. Also ordered octopus (it was good, but wish it came with bread to soak up the sauce), and the baby lettuce salad. More than enough for two people, but I got to take leftovers home. We had made reservations about a day ahead, and were seated in the patio. I hated sitting outdoors, it was incredibly loud and it felt like everyone was shouting to be able to hear. Seating is pretty close together, both inside and outside. I think the ambiance is set up to look intimate and cozy but there's too many people crammed in (and it was at full capacity on a Tuesday night). Happy they have business, but I probably wouldn't consider this a go-to date spot! read more

Delicious food! A lot of amazing small plates to share. The Milano spritz was only okay... I enjoyed just sticking to their Italian wines more. I typically am not a dessert person but their lemon curd olive oil cake was the highlight of my night - not too sweet, moist and the right amount of lemony tang! We've been wanting to get here for some time, but have struggled to make it happen with their system that prioritizes reservations. Three of us visited on a Saturday night. Even though 3-4 tables were empty for the majority of the time we were there, service was slow and spotty. We ordered a small plate (Burrata crostini), which was amazing. We then dove into three different pizzas. As far as wood-fired pizzas go, these felt bland and thin throughout. If you like a thick, chewy crust, this is not for you. The place has a good vibe with creative art on display. The cocktail menu looked like old standards attempting to appear creative, but missing the mark. Whenever we have guests in town, we always recommend Bar Del Corso. Every single dish is perfect! Our favorites are the clams (vongole alla marinara), any of the salads, burrata. For pizza, our girls love the margherita, but we (the grown ups) love the salami picante, funghi or corno di carpi. The pizza is that amazing wood-fire pizza where the crust is chewy and crisp all at the same time! It's just an amazing bite and I don't mind all the carbs because it's worth it. We got lucky with street parking right around the corner but realize had we not found that spot, it probably would have been quite the search. Fun little place with a crazy high noise level. We ordered family style with small plates to share and our server did a nice job letting us know which dishes he would ask the kitchen to add an extra bite to so we could share equally and not have to negotiate who would be left out. Heads up on drinks; there is one white wine and one red wine that are served in a vessel that closely resembles my little cat's water bowl. We ordered a cider and that came in the same 7oz glass for a 12oz price. The mixed drinks were tasty and, in case you're wondering, served in actual drink glasses. The printed menu is supplemented by a specials board that is definitely worth ordering from. We ordered one plate each of arancini and meatballs and highly recommend both. We also had the arugula salad, which was fine, and a butternut squash risotto that used faro instead of pasta. It was warm and comforting. The pizzas are a must! We ordered two and between four people did not have a single leftover piece. We also had cod fritters that we all agreed were a miss. Days later I was still thinking about the arancini and meatballs, so let me drive it home that you have to get them. read more

Was visiting Seattle from NC and I'm glad to be able to add this place to my list of places I must come back to. They had so many good specials on the board that sounded amazing. I just didn't have the space that day. So I stuck with my go to that will always taste good on the 2nd day pizza. Loved the char grill taste on the side. Had to try this buzzy Seattle spot and glad we stopped by. We made an early reservation and got a table right in the center of the restaurant. We were well taken care of all night - they made really sure our water glasses were full at all times, which I appreciate! Vegetarian options were quite slim - even the arancini was made with meat broth sadly. Food was OK overall, and prices fair to high. Opted for dessert and really disliked their take on tiramisu. Wow I forgot what good food this place has. We ordered the salami pizza and it was so good...just like I remembered it. I forgot how much better it is than a few of the other local pizza joints in the area. We also ordered the clams, the risotto balls and the arugula salad. Everything was delicious and really sparked my interest that I need to come back more often. The only downside is that they don't really keep tables open for walk ins (which every restaurant does) so they told us we only had an hour and 15 minutes to eat because of a reservation that was made. Also they served us house wine in like a cup of some sort (reminded me of a cat bowl) and was immediately turned off especially since the table next to us had actual wine glasses. Don't really know what was up with that but we asked for wine glasses instead to replace such cat bowls. We are on their patio out back and it actually wasn't bad. They had covers and it was heated so we actually enjoyed it out there..couldn't even tell it was drizzling outside. Service was good. It has been a while since we've been at del corso but we ended up there on the bar seating on a particularly busy Friday night! It's a cute casual date night spot and they have some fun seasonal pizzas. Drinks and food particularly took unusually long time when we were there last that wasn't what we have previously experienced. We had some light bites as well as our drinks but some of the mussels had quite a bit of sand hence the 4 star review. I do love the aesthetics of how the mussel dish is presented but there's a little room for improvement for the preparation. I think this spot is worth the wait usually for dinner - seems like a definite neighborhood hotspot because I have never seen it not bustling. read more

Which was very nice, lots of mushroom flavor and baked pretty well! They only offer one type of red wine to sell by the glass which was a bit of a bummer. But the bottles are relatively cheap. Adorable little place. I love the warm inviting feel! We had a reservation but needed to wait about 10 mins to be seated, totally worth it because we had wine at the bar. We are the fungi mushroom pizza, it was nice watching the kitchen staff pulling pizzas in and out of the large oven. It was full of toppings and really some of the best pizza I've had in Seattle. Bar Del Corso has amazing reviews and hits a few "best of" lists, but I found it rather...well...just okay. The pizzas have very scarce toppings on them, the meatball appetizer came out when we were completely done with the pizzas (albeit our server did warn they'd take a bit), and there was just nothing overly-redeeming about the restaurant. Everything was good, not great, and I suppose it would make a good little date spot. But I would say the food is just aight. read more

Having jumped around the country and having had the experience of living in different cities, I've accumulated a number of memories that create a great sense of nostalgia. There once was an Italian place in Providence, RI where we would frequent. A small little store. Mom and pop like and they just served great food. And that is something that I have been yearning for but never quite found until we encountered Bar Del Corso. We first discovered Bar Del Corso about a year ago when they received a James Beard nod and in an effort to expand our Italian experiences, we made a reservation... and then another.. and then another. Bar del Corso has now become one of our regular spots and we're thrilled to bring friends and family here to experience. Fortunately they have both indoor and outdoor dining and of course I frequently choose outdoor for safety reasons and good air circulation. Their menu is surprisingly simple but don't let that lead you into a sense that you would not find something you'd enjoy. In fact, the shorter menu will entice you to experience foods you may not previously have ordered if you stuck to your regular foods. They're probably most famous for their wood-fired pizzas and in fact it's so popular that it's the only thing you can order to go from there. They have usually 9 flavors of your classic pizzas. We of course typically get both a salame piccante and a margherita. But pizza is only part of the show. Don't forget your suppli al telefono - fried risotto balls with mozzarella. You may find yourself going back and ordering... a few more. Their fried salted cod "Baccala" is a delight and a great Italian snack for those who enjoy fish. Don't forget to leave some room for their polpettine, or house made meatballs, which are to die for. Salads are generally hit or miss for me but I'm happy to say I've enjoyed every single one I've had from this restaurant. We've rotated orders so many times that we've managed to try everyone. Also I'd suggest checking out their specials menu which is written in chalk on the wall. Be sure to check that out and select from their rotating dishes. Leave room for dessert too. Don't want to miss that olive oil cake! Making a reservation is a must and for us traveling down from north Seattle can take some time to wade through traffic. But it's worth it even when street parking is annoying. In door dining is available but I have found it to be a bit crowded hence I try to book outdoors where possible. Wish we could take out but I know that the experience is not going to be as wonderful as getting your dishes served to you hot right off the stove. Strongly suggest you give this a try especially if you're looking for that hearty Italian meal experience! read more

Had a reservation for dinner last night (Friday, 10/4). Show up and restaurant was closed due to a power outage. Fine, stuff happens. But it is inexcusable that Bar del Corso didn't notify customers with reservations when it decided it could not honor the reservations. With a little notice, we could perhaps have made alternative plans. As it was, we were stuck scrambling as a party of 4 during prime time dining hours. We have been long-time supporters of Bar del Corso, but this is not the kind of service to which we have become accustomed. Not at all a good look. read more

Enjoyed a nice evening with friends at this restaurant. I ordered martini and an appetizer while I waited for the others. The front of the restaurant was quiet, as I arrived within 15 minutes of opening. When my dining partners arrived, we ordered more drinks, bread, and then our entree's. I had the pizza special - it was made with prosciutto. It was very good. The best part is that they bring scissors so that you can cut any size that appeals to you. I loved that. The only negative is that they don't work well when the pizza is cold. I brought home my leftovers and cut it with a pizza wheel. I failed to take pictures of my pizza or the other entrees ordered - great conversation . . .but I did get a picture of my dessert which was divine. Four stars - Drink delivery was slow - I was the first person in the restaurant but it seemed to take 15 minutes for my drink. Waitress was experienced and it showed. She was present when needed, but did not interrupt us. We were asked to leave our table at the conclusion of our meal, but we had been there for awhile, so I didn't take offense. read more

Got a few apps, the bread (which I feel like should come with some olive oil, or butter, or something); suppli al telefono (risottoballs) (a little crispy and seemed to lack flavor; the meatballs, pretty good, also needed something, the sauce was pretty bland. We ordered the Escarole salad, which was pretty delicious, had a nice amount of dressing. We ordered 2 pizzas: the Margherita, your basic Margherita pizza; and the Funghi, pretty flavorful. Service was good, the restaurant was very loud hard to talk to people at your table. Overall, a pretty decent restaurant. This isn't our first visit here and it won't be our last. read more

The food was good. Nothing photo worthy or different, though. The thing I loved the most was the lemon olive oil cake. It was moist and had a sweet glaze. The Ragu was good but it was a little too licorice-y with an abundance of anise. As many other reviews have mentioned, the lack of stars is not for the food. The lack of stars comes from the attitude of the waiter. Thankfully, the party I was with is very kind and understanding, but the waiter's attitude made us feel like we were inconveniencing them and that they had no time to discuss things on the menu with us. We sat outside...on one of the coldest days of the year, having made a reservation far in advance.
