A neat place. Just wanted to have a quick lunch and we ended up here. The noodles of mine were not as hot as I thought or as it appeared to so. But the fragrance definitely was calling "yummy." Wished they had told us that a tiny sauce dish of hot pepper was an extra charge of a dollar. Not the price tag was anything bothering us; it was more about informing your customers rather than sort of sneakily mentioning it without a full disclosure. Since they only have one dessert item, we ordered. The favor needs to be stronger but apparently they tune it down, I guess, to be more palatable to the non-Asian customers. Immediately inquired about food allergies which we truly appreciated. My husband has a shellfish allergy and many things we would have assumed would be safe ended up containing shellfish. While the food was SENSATIONAL, the service WAS NOT. I had to ask the server for my drink (Diet Coke) twice and for some condiments twice as well. The bar is a good size but is VERY loud. The kitchen smacks you in the face when you first walk in the door. With that said, there is a fly problem. As I was eating my amazing chicken noodle soup, one of the little pests decided he wanted to try my soup as well......not the protein I was expecting. I had the Khao Piek Sen with the patongo for dipping (as recommended by our server) and it was fantastic. It was better than the time my granny and her arch nemesis, Muriel, were competing for the best chicken noodle soup recipe at the state fair. As they were approaching the judges, they both tripped, pots flying into the air, miraculously combining portions of both into a single bowl on the judges table.
