Low light sushi restaurant with stone walls and a full on bar when you first walk in and just beyond that there is also a full on sushi bar. Service is pretty fast. Very kid friendly, I came with my 12 year old for his birthday dinner and the server was very nice and gave great recommendations. My son LOVED all of them with her top recommendation, the Samurai, being his absolute favorite. I ordered a Lychee Martini (pictured with the single spring roll and eel sauce plate) which was exactly what I would expect it to taste like. The only hiccup we had was that the parking is pretty complicated. Directly across from the sushi restaurant, the cars all had boots on them, so I would recommend the AMLI parking right behind the restaurant which is validated with a sticker. You pay $5 at the restaurant even tho the parking lot shows different. Sushi Pictured From left to right: Fried Spring Rolls (4), Spider Maki Roll, Samurai, Shaggy Dog, California Maki Roll.

This spot was so good. All the nigeri were delicious. Service was ok, server never brought my edamame. I would come back again if I'm Austin.

Pretty good sushi experience downtown! The sushi quality was solid and the chicken katsu was well fried but some of the supporting ingredients didn't seem to mesh well flavor wise for me but that could definitely be personal preference. Service was solid and it's in a great location downtown

Took myself on a solo date here and I am so glad I did! The service was so accommodating and welcoming. The fish was incredibly fresh and every bite had me wanting more. Already planning my next visit!

We stopped by for a quick bite during happy hour. The sushi quality isn't top-notch, but it's fair for the price. We sat at the bar and our bartender was super friendly and attentive, which made the visit even better. The ambiance is dark, cozy, and chill making it a good spot to relax and catch up over drinks and rolls.

I've been here three times now and have had a great experience each time. I would say this is the perfect place to go downtown if you don't feel like paying $200 on omakase or upscale dining, but you still want a nice lunch or dinner. They have some happy hour deals and a great selection of sushi, apps, and drinks. I've never had to make a reservation which makes things easy. I usually street park but I believe they will validate your parking in one of the parking garages.

Super fast and friendly service at the bar. Yummy drinks and sushi options. Convenient location perfect for date night or a bite before a night on the town!

Been coming here for over a decade. Glad to see it's still just as good. I come here for their golden lion role. Something about the lemon slice that really makes this roll one of my favorites in town. We came on a Saturday night at 8pm with a rezzy and our table was ready. Service is great and food comes out fast. It's always really loud here but the music is good and it's the downtown party vibe. It's very dark inside as well. Miso soup: 8/10 Shrimp tempura: 9/10 Golden lion: 11/10 Shaggy dog: 9.5/10 Flying dragon: 7/10 (little soggy) Spicy girl: 8/10 Volcano: 9/10 Love at first sight: 7/10 (apparently a popular roll but not a favorite for us) Cocktails were great too. Loved the lychee martini. 4 stars mainly due to only having 2 restrooms (one unisex each) so the wait can get long and annoying. Outside of this, love this spot and looking forward to coming back.

Came in for happy hour and everything was delicious! Not pictured, but the fried rice was out of this world as well (I'd recommend getting a side). The sushi was more than enough, and everyone left full and satisfied. Would definitely come back to take advantage of this deal!

Spicy Salmon Maki Roll

I hate to leave a negative review but me and my friends had a very below average experience here last night. Overall, the food was fine, nothing to complain about but the service was genuinely terrible. I arrived a little after my friends so when our server came out to take our order I wasn't completely ready so I apologized and ask if he could come back in a few and that I would be ready. I don't think he came back outside for 30 minutes. At that point I ordered my food and I got one item about 30 minutes later and then my other item 30 minutes after that. So total, I think I waited about an hour and a half to get all of my food. To add to the experience, we were sitting outside and when my friends arrived a bird pooped on our table and it apparently made a big mess. That was obviously no one's fault so we weren't upset at all but the waitstaff was not very helpful. Then it happened again later and the bird pooped on my friends head very unfortunate but our server did not care at all. We ended up moving tables but overall he was completely emotionless and unenthusiastic for our entire time at the restaurant.

Both of the sandos were perfect. The wagyu beef sando had a little bit more flavor but it was slight and both are worth trying. Every roll was enjoyable and I felt like each had a little twist that really made the flavors explosive, like a shaved onion or a crispy puff on the side of the roll. The service was stellar and they were easy to book on OpenTable I also tried the green tea mocktail and found it to be light and refreshing and I was happy that it wasn't super sweet My two favorite items were: 1. The Edamame - which were charred in a way that I feel like I've never experienced it before and had such great flavor. 2. The scallop roll had a thinly sliced shaved truffle on top that made the roll simple yet out of this world. Shout out to the manager who came by just to check in. I've been here recently and really enjoyed the Hamachi and the spicy tuna, however, this time around they both felt a little too fishy. They're to roll on the other hand was absolutely mind blowing and did not disappoint. Everybody's absolutely favorite role though was the truffle scallop. It was creamy. It was velvety. It was clean and such a burst of flavor without overwhelming your taste buds too much. Overall, a very good time great service and as always, great food

I was talking with my friend when I first took a bite of the Toro, and literally had to pause the conversation with how surprised I was by its texture, truly feeling like a piece of Wagyu. It was overall just so much sashimi as well for the $42 price tag -- you could honestly split it with someone. My first time wasn't too memorable and the second time I got the ultra spicy veggie ramen and it was so spicy I cried (which is good haha i have very high spice tolerance so I'm glad I found a spot that can do truly spicy). This time, I got the deluxe Chicken Paitan DX Ramen (the one that comes with the chicken leg). Chicken Paitan DX Ramen: A sweet soy glazed chicken leg is served on a hot sizzling plate with a small bed of bean sprouts marinating in the sauce. The sauce is a sticky, sweet soy sauce that is so delicious. The chicken leg itself is tender, juicy, and has a great skin texture. The skin soaks up the sauce so well and even has some nice charred bits that add to the flavor and complexity of the dish. The ramen itself was great too. A creamy rich chicken broth. I got the spicy level, so one level under the top spice level and it was perfect. Not unbearably spicy, but had a really nice underlying kick. The noodles are a thin yet snappy noodle so it made it easy to eat. I love the corn and mushroom spirals too! Overall, if you come based on this review, make sure to get the chicken paitan dx ramen. There are only 15 served in a day but ask them if they have it because I was able to get one on a Monday night at around 8PM! It's a nice space, good for a date or even a casual hangout.
