My go-to place for happy hour. This place has so may beer selection (101 to be exact). This place is good for drinks... the restaurant part it okay. The bar top can get crowded pretty easy, especially if there's a game on. They have a huge projector screen that they'll show the games, NO SOUND though, so that sucks if you go there to watch the games. I've now made friends with the bartenders. They're all great. Just an overall good place for beer and happy hour. Nothing special, just good. *They have a rewards app you can download. The food blows, the beer selection is fanfreakingtastic, if you adore IPA's. 101 beers and about 65 of them are IPAs. Personally if I wanted to smoke weed, I'd smoke weed, not drink it. Oh if you're a lager/pilsner fan, you have 3 choices and one of them is a "hoppy" pils. The real kicker is that they carry Weihenstephaner, but the hefeweizen, this I find interesting as Weihenstephaner makes a perfect Helles lager. So in a nutshell if you like marginal food and hops, hmmm maybe they should have called it that, then go to 101. read more

My girlfriend and I have been here several times since Barrelhouse opened and in general we have been pleased with everything. In particular, the beer selection is phenomenal. Any aroma, any IBU, and alcohol content, everything. Stouts, IPAs, lagers, nitros, man..... beer is yummy. The food on the other hand is what I call bar food. Not bad, but not amazing. Some appetizers are delicious but the burgers and sandwiches are mediocre. The service is always good, once you get a seat. That's right. Depending on the time of day you go, you can easily wait up to an hour or more to be seated. I don't actually blame this on Barrelhouse because they got a great location and obviously are packed all the time so they must be loving the revenue. It's just tough to justify waiting around that long if you just want an appetizer and some beers with a couple friends. On a side note, I personally don't like the new paint job, but it does seem to be attracting new business. Unfortunately this bar has turned into more of a tourism bus stop then a great local bar for a quick stop in during prime time hours. Overall if you are a beer fan, this is a must try. read more

On May 24th, my daughter and I returned to the Barrelhouse for another fine dining experience! We both had beer samplers and our server, Jenny was fantastic. She explained the different beers and always checked-up on us to see how we liked the different beers and our sandwiches. I had the Shortrib Melt. I went the night of the World Series and although they were extremely busy we were seated in about 5 minutes. I ordered the Buffalo wings, and Shrimp Po Boy with bacon mac n cheese. The wings were surprisingly good and the bleu cheese was a tad runny for my taste but did the job. The shrimp po boy was the taste of the town as it had a flavor that was very unique. The mac n cheese I only got a bite of it because at that point I was stuffed. It did taste pretty good. My only issue was on 3 separate occasions I had to ask for refills despite multiple employees walking by and seeing empty cups. I know it's the World Series and the team did good. But once I would ask someone for a refill, now everyone who is walking by is asking if I need one but no big deal I fully understand last night was hectic. Exceptional tap list! My group built a few flights, and ordered pints from there. It was awesome to have so much variety as opposed to just IPas or Brown ales. Everyone could find something they liked. We ordered a few apps, but the Truffle fries were my favorite! Service was fast and friendly! The manager came by our table and checked on how we were doing- we told him how impressed we were with our server (whose name I forgot!). My only grip is with the bathroom. Long line for single stall, and was out of TP by the time I made it in. Other than that, everything was great and I'll definitely be back! read more

Went here on Friday night for a coworkers going away party. The atmosphere was cool, the drinks were delicious. Especially if you like beer as they had over 100 to choose from. However the highlight of the night was the Burger of the Month that I ordered. Our waiter designed it for his upcoming 21st birthday, and it was appropriately named the "21st Birthday Burger". Seems like a fun place to enjoy a drink, I saw plaques on the wall saying they were awarded for best craft beer (?) the past three years in a row, but I ordered carry out for my hotel. Food came very quickly, about 15 minutes so I appreciated that. We ordered their jumbo buffalo wings and a rodeo burger with fries. Wings were great. I'd come back for those. Wasn't too fond of the burger though. It had a TON of flavor, however I didn't feel like what ever type of sauce that was added, or cheese, I'm not sure.. I didn't feel like they blended well together. I wouldn't order that again, but I'd be open to try other meals on their menu. read more

I wish they would have given us more, but I don't recall asking so no big deal there either. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was good. A little heavy on the foliage and light on the seasoning or moisture in the chicken which made it a little difficult to eat. The bacon in the sandwich was crisp and fresh so no real complaints. So we walked in and immediately got a table for five. My coworker ordered some devil's spears. Bacon wrapped pickles with honey and some hell fire dipping sauce. They were pretty good. Another coworker ordered some big ass onion rings. Way too much food for one person. He shared! We all got different meals ranging from tacos to salads. I got short rib grilled cheese sandwich with fries. It was pretty good. What I really wanted to do was drink a beer. They had over 100 bears on tap from a variety of breweries local and not so local. I settled for water. All and all a good spot for a gut bomb! Bring your appetite. BTW, I saw someone who ordered a burger and then I got mad because I ordered the short rib. Second time being here, and it was even better than the first! Me and my boyfriend sat at the bar and Martin took care of us. I am not a beer drinker, in fact, hate the taste of beer, and he suggested 3 different ciders/beers for the first flight of tastings and I absolutely loved every one. Because I loved everyone, I had him make me a different flight and that one was even better than the first! Martin also made some one of a kind shots which were fabulous.
