I'm pretty picky about pizza sauce, but the moment I took my first bite last year, they had me hooked. Ever since then, it's become one of our must-stop places. It's such a family-friendly spot and a perfect place to gather with the whole crew--especially after a kids' sports tournament. After a full day of running around with the kids, it takes all the stress out of figuring out dinner. The staff is always really friendly too, which makes it even better. I have been going to Barro's for 30 years and their food has always been excellent. Even when there is an issue they are quick to correct it. It's clear that they care about their customers and do the best they can. The buffalo sauce is excellent, not to mention the pizza. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. If you have high blood pressure, I would recommend staying away. The pizza is just was too salty. I've ordered from this location a number of times over the past two years and almost every time, I end up with swollen ankles from the excess salt. Never get that condition except for when I eat their pizza. Crazy. I like the staff, nothing against them. read more

One of my favorite places to eat pizza fresh out of the oven. Every time I go, it's always the same. Been eating from Barro's since I was born for the most part and the one thing they always have going for them is consistency! The people that work there are always friendly and we decided to go this particular night because they had the World Series, NFL football game, and the Suns game on so it gave us something to do while we ate dinner. This was our first visit. We will not be back. We ordered wings to share, two kids meals, a club sandwich and I ordered last and asked for a mini vegetarian pizza. The cashier told me the pizza would take 35 min and was that ok. I asked when the other food would be coming out relative to the pizza. She said the other food would be out sooner so I switched to cheese ravioli thinking I didn't want the rest of my family to finish eating before my pizza came out. Boy was I wrong. 40 minutes later we got our wings. The server who brought it out told us the rest of our food would be right out. Another 15 minutes later and nothing. My husband went up to find out what was going on and the kids meals and pasta was on its way, but still no sandwich. The server who brought this round of food said it would be right out and apologized it wasn't with the food. Another 10 min passed and my husband had to ask again where the sandwich was. They apologized and said they were making it now. They had obviously lost our order. And to top it off all we saw the whole hour we were waiting for our food was pizza being delivered to tables that had ordered after us! I really believe that if I had ordered a pizza we would have gotten all our food in a timely manner. Food was fine but nothing special. I guess my advice is don't order anything but pizza here. The pizza might be good but we won't be coming back to find out. read more

What the heck is up with this Barros? (Signal Butte / Baseline) Are they taking the path of Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa John's? When we first discovered them four years ago when we moved to Mesa, we were astounded by the amount of toppings they put on their Mega Meat pizza. All the way to the crust and so dense you could hardly see under the meat. That lasted a long time. We would brag to family and friends about it and bring them in. Went for dinner with my wife last night. We ordered a medium pizza with sausage and pepperoni, and it was quite good. We also ordered a veggie salad and that was mediocre at best, since the salad was mostly iceberg lettuce with no romaine or red cabbage or carrot shreds. It also had shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses on it, but the cheeses were of low quality and IMO just grated Parmesan cheese would have been better. read more

Ordered food through a 3rd party delivery service With this Barro's location at signal butte and baseline. Something went wrong with the delivery driver so I called the store after waiting awhile... Basically, had a problem that wasn't Barros fault at all. They not only helped with getting my money back through the 3rd party service, they also helped with a new order and rushed it through.. after all that they even discounted my new order.. NOTE: they did nothing wrong and could have easily just told me "oh well". Great customer service! Kudos to management. read more

Don't get me wrong, the wings were good but I'm sad for Barros because it seems the economy is hurting them too usually there's sauce at least on the tinfoil but these are not "super wet plz & thanks". I would pay an upgrade charge too, if the website feature that allowed you to choose extra sauce... actually worked. Ordering from Barro's the last 5 years has been hit and miss. This is the final straw. I'm sticking to other pizza places. This one on Signal Butte and Baseline in East Mesa is just bad. I get delivery so I'm not saying anything about the people. Just the food. I order extra sauce just to try and get regular sauce so it's not bone dry. But they failed again. The manager and/or the pizza make are just way too skimpy. I got better than normal sauce on one pizza and virtually no sauce on the other pizza and both were supposed to have extra sauce. Very disappointing when your mouth is watering for good pizza. read more

Stephanie needs to lose her attitude. We were wanting to have a slice and a salad. A slice and wings but were told combos were for lunch only. Why at dinner do they not offer a special. There's something about this location of Barro's that makes it hit different. I don't know what they're cooking up back there, but they do it better than all the other Barro's. The Buffalo Chicken pizza is UNREAL from this location, just the right amount of sauce to give it a kick and the chicken is still tender and juicy. I think that Barro's isn't the greatest pizza in town, but I do still enjoy their pizza, and this location is a step above. Anytime I'm on this side of town around lunch time I stop in for a slice. Barro's can be hit or miss. Last night was a huge miss.. ordered the XL pizza with wings and side order of mozzarella sticks. Requested the pizza well done, the pizza was doughy and I had to put in oven. The mozzarella sticks were hollow. The medium wings were nothing but Tabasco. We ordered pizza and an Italian sub. Now let me make this clear. I'm from NJ. We know food. The pizza was good, thin crust and all just not what I consider thin crust but I liked it. Now onto the Italian sun. Who on Gods green earth does not have oil and vinegar! Italian dressing is not the same thing! Now in Jersey, there is at least a quarter point of meat and cheese on a sub. I get we are not in New Jersey, but to know have oil and vinegar made my head spin! We just had great experience at Barro's Pizza. The staff was amazing and the food was delicious.

While I understand there are times an order won't be correct (i.e., wrong or missing topping), but to simply not care about the accuracy of the product leaving your restaurant is unacceptable, especially for a place that keeps getting voted as "Best in Arizona." I usually go to a different Barro's for my orders, but I was forced to use this one due to the part of town I was at. I won't be returning to this location. My pizza order was to include extra cheese, extra pepperoni, italian sausage, mushrooms, and black olives. Something I've ordered from the other location before. What I received was regular cheese, regular pepperoni, NO mushrooms, black olives, and Italian sausage that was clearly added after the pizza went through the oven (since every slice I picked up, the sausage went rolling away). Now I blame myself for not fully checking on the pizza before I left the restaurant, so I'm not looking for any reimbursement/replacement. However, my level of trust has change, and I'll be thinking twice about Barro's when I want a pizza. read more

No flavor... to much dough and not good. Half pepperoni and half cheese... barely any pepperoni and sauce or cheese.

My pizza arrived a few minutes earlier than anticipated and I was unable to receive it. I did not want to take up the driver's valuable time so I had her place it outside. By the time I got to it 5 minutes later, it has been swarmed by ants and was inedible. I called back and without hesitation, Barros remade and redelivered a delicious pizza within 30 minutes. They said my order would be ready at 3:15. I got there around 3:20. They said my order ticket was misplaced or the order was redone. Either way it should have been hot and fresh when I got home 10 min later. It wasn't, it was cold. There's nothing worse then waiting an extra 20 min for a cold pizza! read more
