What a COOL place! It's got a great rustic vibe, amazing food and very attentive, friendly service! At our table we had the hand of Fatima, lamb meatballs, falafel sliders, zaatar fries, and the nightly lasagna special, and the fig brownie for dessert. We all just kept saying "wow" every time we tried something new. The flavors are amazing and everything we tried was so so good! Each of the dips and spreads in the hand of Fatima was so good, they tasted fresh and so flavorful. And the bread that comes with it is toasted then drizzled with Tunisian olive oil, and presented beautifully! My friend said the falafel sliders were the best falafel she ever had! The Lamb meatballs and couscous were AMAZING! I didn't try the lasagna, but my friend loved it, and it was a huge portion. The zaatar fries were great and I didn't expect to love the fig brownie, but the flavor combination with balsamic blew me away! It was very enjoyable! I don't live close, but I can't wait to go back next month for my birthday! read more

I've been a long time customer of Barsha Wines in Manhattan Beach and have loved their wine selection and appetizers. I was so excited when I saw they opened a restaurant in Hermosa Beach that has a small but delicious kids menu!!! The service was amazing, our waitress was very knowledgeable when it came to wines and offered samples of the wines before I ordered. I had the meatballs which were so good and the dessert was amazing. They have a small play area for kids, small enough that it doesn't take away from the atmosphere, and my child was entertained while I enjoyed amazing food and wine. There are no good places in the South Bay that I know of that cater to parents that want good food & wine and can still bring their kids. I am excited to try the rest of the menu! read more

As a Tunisian and Mediterranean foodie, I can be a very picky eater and especially when it comes to Tunisian and Mediterranean food. Barsha has exceeded all expectations! Dishes were fusions of authentic + modern recipes, flavorful, well presented, and extremely interesting. We ordered everything we could and we haven't found a thing we disliked. This was my first time trying out this restaurant and I should say I am definitely coming back. We ordered the Lamb meatballs, Hand of Fatima, and Rose Trifle for dessert. Did reservations, going there was easy. They have lots of parking soots at the front. Ordered food with their drafted wine. The service was also spectacular, friendly, and funny. The variety of tastes in the hand of Fatima was a surprise and we liked the generous portions of sliced meat on our board. Our entrees were really good. Stopped by last month for dinner on their makeshift patio and, if our experience while dining in their parking lot is any indication, I cannot wait to one day visit Barsha when its full space is open (and for brunch, which sounds amazing!). For now...Patio tables are well-spaced under string lights and (I believe) heaters. Arabic music sets the scene. Service is great and friendly, and the owner is present and social with guests. Now for the food...THE FOOD! First of all, if you're vegetarian/vegan or gluten-free, there are great options for you here! I have to be cautious of my gluten intake and I was really impressed with the substitution options/suggestions already laid out on the menu. We ended up getting the roasted cauliflower, the lamb cheeks, lamb meatballs, za'atar fries and a fig brownie. It was all delicious. Truly. Especially the (gluten-free but you wouldn't know it) brownie! Each plate is perfect for sharing between 2-3 people. We also had wine and a cocktail, respectively, which were great. I appreciated that, when I wasn't sure which wine I wanted, our server asked me a few questions about my preferences and brought me out a suggestion of his own. Warmed my indecisive heart! Barsha's is perhaps one of the great additions to the South Bay marrying the owners great love of wine and creative culinary style honed through living in various cultures and classical training. We ate a charcuterie and cheese plate which featured fresh and delectable cheeses paired with Tunisian almonds and compotes and tasty mustard. For the main course, we had roasted cauliflower which was the right amount of crisp and smoke on the outside with a tender stalk and a rich and tasty dipping sauce. The braised and grilled pork belly was VERY good and was cut to an appropriate thickness to include just the right amount of fat and meat. It was topped with a great glaze that I haven't had before and was a welcome surprise. The owners have two young children which makes them especially welcoming of small kids if you can't find a baby sitter. They made a special Mac and cheese with veggies for the little one and it was also a great dish they should consider for the kid inside of us all. Service was warm, often and prompt. They have trained a great staff and it shows throughout the restaurant. I highly recommend Barshas for everyone because they have something for anyone. I went back to this restaurant tonight to give it another shot, & I am so dam happy I did! The service & especially the food was outstanding. It truly is one of the finest restaurants here in the South Bay. We have lived here for many years, & have been to most of the fine restaurants around, but Barsha is a step above the rest. If you are not sure of what the dish is on the menu, order it anyway, they are all fabulous, & you will want more. Amazing food, amazing wine and best service I've had in a very long time! What a local gem! It's located in a very inconspicuous shopping center with the front of the restaurant hidden behind a outdoor seating tent, but don't let the outside looks fool you, this place is great! I highly recommend trying them! We made reservations for 7pm on a Saturday night. There looked like there was plenty of seating when we got there but it filled up by the time we were done. We wanted to order the entire menu but with only 4 of us, we were limited. We ordered Cheese & Charcuterie, Crusty Bread, Stewed Chick Peas, Falafel Sliders, Branzino, Moussaka, Roasted Cauliflower, Roasted Eggplant, Zatar Fries and 2 bottles of wine. The plates weren't big but surprisingly filling and everything was absolutely delicious. I didn't have a favorite, it was all scrumptious and my mouth is watering as I type thinking about it. I think the only criticism I can make for our entire meal was the Cheese & Charcuterie was a little smaller than I expected, but don't get me wrong, we were stuffed to the gills when we were done and had absolutely no room to even attempt to try the desserts, which was disappointing because I was eyeing the trifle. We even took some of the leftover Moussaka home and I have to say it's great on eggs for breakfast! The owner came to take our order and help us with our wine selection. I had never tried orange wine before and was curious since it was on the menu. He suggested one he had just gotten in, not even in the menu yet. He had us laughing with his descriptions of it... paint thinner and animal barn, which was oddly accurate in a very good and unpretentious way. We all wanted a second bottle after the La Maldicion Malvar and all had slightly different preferences and he again recommended Black Kite sonoma coast pinot noir that was a just perfect. I really appreciated that he was very knowledgeable of the wines he carried, it made us trust him and made picking one really easy. You definitely don't need to be a wine snob and know fancy terms to drink here. One of the best experiences at a restaurant in years. We all liked it so much that we've decided to try to come back once a month! They have an extensive list of wines and beer on and off tap that I'd like to explore next time I come and to try the rest of the menu my stomach didn't have room for this visit! read more

Solid 5 stars! We live in the neighborhood and hung out at this location when Suzie's Dive Bar occupied this space. We've been to Barsha half a dozen times. Food and service have always been excellent! It's listed as Mediterranean but I think the owners are from Tunisia so the dishes are not like your typical Greek food style restaurant. No matter, the lamb couscous special this past Friday was amazing! The lamb melted in your mouth and nice spice flavors exploded in your mouth! We shared it but I could have killed the whole dish. They have several wines on tap which are always clean and nice. Da wife loves the Barsha Spritz which contains Paradiso. A cooling beverage on a warm night. We've had most items on the menu and would order them all again. Barsha is definitely on our regular rotation. read more

Lovely atmosphere and very tasty meat and cheese charcuterie boards. But let me tell you i have never had such an amazing customer service as Hamza provided. I'm not a big drinker and when i told him "no more wine for me" we laughed and then he came back with a glass of Rose Lemonade for me to enjoy. Finally had a chance to check Barsha out for an early Valentine's dinner. We sat outside and the tent was utilitarian in totally blocking out the elements and the parking lot. The service was great with lots of solid recommendations. We had glasses of the cab based on the staff recommendation and it was really good. We had a cheese & charcuterie board which nice, two types of cheese, two types of meats, along with grapes, fig jam, almonds and those tiny little pickles. We didn't touch the pickles but pretty much devoured everything else. We had the marinated chickpea dish which was also very enjoyable, albeit messy. It comes with a few pieces of toasted bread and you basically try to pile as many chickpeas onto the bread as possible and then stuff it into your mouth as the chickpeas roll off the bread. Kinda felt a bit like an olympic sport. My wife got the moussaka which was very hearty. She enjoyed it but could only eat half of the serving. I got the seafood cous cous risotto which was a special and tore through the whole thing. Shrimp tails were all that was left. We finished with the fig brownie which was a really interesting mix of flavors, topped off with vanilla ice cream. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this place and will likely make it a regular dining spot once we get through all of the madness that is Covid. read more

The ambience is clean and simple, and they feature a variety of live music Friday through Sunday. We enjoyed Black Music... soothing Prince-like melodies. The service was excellent from hostess, waiters, to bar staff and management- all were attentive, polite, and helpful. They have an interesting wine list, and several wines on tap! We loved the roasted cauliflower and the chicken liver pate. Their espresso is strong and flavourful, a great accompaniment for their creamy rose trifle. We'll definitely be back. Yesterday was my second time visiting Barsha and they did not disappoint! I've been hearing so many good things about this place. I've known Barsha because of their liquor place in Manhattan Beach. I was so surprised by their food! First off we tried their chicken liver pâté. If you're not a fan trust me you'll love it! It comes with fig spread and toasted bread with crushed pistachios. Second, tried their ceviche. Oh so good! Came with toasted pita bread. Had the meatballs. Which is pretty good as well. We topped it off with fig brownie. Omg! It was delicious!!! Hands down the best brownie! Trust me you have to try it! Also had their barsha spritz. Their own take of Aperol spritz. Everything was so delicious! I'll be back! read more
