Among the seasonal items the salty blonde is THAT girl (March offering) and cocoa mint is alwaysss a HIT (holiday szn). Without a doubt, the best cookies you can get in San Diego, and they might be the best cookies I've ever had. Baked to perfection. Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. They are thick. My all time favorite is the Smo (seasonal smores cookie) but also love the classic, the lady, and the sugar. You can't go wrong with any flavor here. You save some money when ordering a box of six - score! In the mix were everyday flavors and one seasonal named StayCay. I wasn't a fan of the StayCay. I liked The Gentleman, The Lady, and The Cocoa PB. These cookies are best reheated in a toaster oven. They come out soft and gooey on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. The cookies looked small, so I weighed each one at home. Their menu claims that the cookies are 4 ounces, but I'm sad to report that only one out of the six cookies I purchased met that 4 ounce claim. I have photos for reference to the cookies that came below 4 ounces. Perhaps my scale is off, but all other places that claim their cookies are a certain weight always comes above their claim, not under. For this reason, I docked one star. They are located next to Handel's Ice Cream in a busy shopping center that can be hard to find parking during peak hours. If you're in the area, definitely check them out and get yourself a box of six pieces. We ended up grabbing a second box for the long road back up to NorCal because we figured we couldn't go wrong (there were no cookies gone wrong). Gluten friendly and individual wrapping options available. We went with their signature cookie box for our first time and nabbed all the other ones that we weren't able to try on the second round. We decided on the Classic (Chocolate Chip), Cocoa PB, the Rose (Strawberry White Chocolate), a couple of Doodles (Snickerdoodle) and the Gentleman (Double Chocolate Chip). The cookies were decadently delicious with a crispy exterior and a gooey center that were very reminiscent of Levain style cookies. Personally, Levain is still king for me as these cookies were not only much smaller than Levain, but didn't quite taste as good as Levain. Nevertheless, the cookies were still really good and I'd totally eat them again! They are a bit on the pricier end for cookies, but the box and packaging were super cute (and would make a great gift) so I didn't mind so much. Docking half a star as the girl helping us with our order was a bit rude and not very friendly so that definitely left a sour taste in my mouth though. A box of six cookies will drop you twenty bucks here, which is quite a bit. With that in mind, the cookies are pretty hefty and dense with each bite being decently satisfying. My biggest complaint would be that I did find some of the flavors to be overwhelmingly sweet. The Classic + The Nutty Classic (4.5/5): These were my favorite by far. Just a chocolate chip cookie baked perfectly and the nutty version has the nice added crunch of the walnuts. The Gentleman (4/5): A double chocolate chip cookie that is perfectly decadent and the perfect balance of sweetness with the use of dark chocolate. The Doodle (3/5): The texture of this is much closer to a sugar cookie than a traditional snickerdoodle. Plus, rather than cinnamon, it tastes much more like the butterscotch chips. The cookie is not bad, but it's just not what they brand it as. The Pink Lady (2.5/5): I found this one to be overwhelmingly sweet. I am indifferent to white chocolate if it's with a more bitter flavor, but this layers sugar on sugar and I couldn't take more than a bite.
