This place is really 3.5 stars. I stopped in on Friday afternoon at 12:50pm, there are two people in front of me and it took 15 minutes to get out of there, so the wait was longer than expected. I got the "Issa Vegetarian" and it was filled with tofu, a delicious lemongrass ponzu sauce, and a bunch of veggies (seaweed, pickled ginger, pineapple, mango, cucumbers). The store has a very clean, minimalistic aesthetic with just enough pops of color that tie the whole place together. The wood accents compliment the vibrant blue, yellow, and white hues. Came on grand opening day, and despite being really busy, service was quick and super friendly. Their regular comes with 3 scoops of protein, which is what I got. A girlfriend and I were looking for Poke the other day and I jumped on Yelp and found this place. When we arrived we had the entire place to ourselves. What a shame because I have to say it was one of the best Poke I've had yet. Oh and I have it at least once a week! I will definitely be back. The fish is great, I love the many toppings options, and I love that I can choose between a pre-built bowl or build it myself and go all out with customizations. The staff is always super friendly, the place is spotless clean, and the prices are spot on. I really really like this place, but recently the portions are inconsistent. On top of that, the bowls themselves have changed since I first started coming here. Small pet peeve, but the flatter style means portions are a little smaller and it's actually harder to eat out of. I was in the area and decided to try this place for dinner take-out. They have a lot of good options but unfortunately, what I received was not worth what I paid. The three scoops of protein were literally small spoon-sized portions and the tuna had a very fishy taste. What killed me the most was how mushy the sushi rice was. Like eating paste! The rice (or base) and protein are of the key elements to making a good poke bowl so for them to fail on this makes a big impact. On top of this, the girl who served me was outrageously slow at everything! I don't know if she was new, but everything she did (from putting the rice in the bowl to the handling of the money) felt like slow motion. The scoop of avocado given was again, more like a spoonful of it. You'd think for charging (Yes I know very few poke spots give avocado free) they'd hook you up on the toppings.
