What a perfect lunch spot for a day of shopping! Was very impressed with the food - dare I say it was better than most of the restaurants at international?! My friend and I split the crispy chicken sandwich and mushroom ravioli and both were beyond delicious. The chicken sandwich was so flavorful, perfectly crispy chicken and not greasy. She didn't like that the bun was burnt and that the meat wasn't chopped. However it still was tasty and so was the au jus. She had to reorder her fries as she had requested them with no salt due to health concerns. The next plate of fries was much better. FYI-they are served with a kalamata sauce. Our waitress was very busy as there weren't any open tables. It was very hard to hear each other talk. My other friend had requested no bun for her burger, but as you can see, it came with a bun. No big deal though, she just put it to the side. The bread pudding had mixed reviews at our table. It was very custardy. The raspberries and whipped cream was a nice way to present the plate. However, I have to give them three stars for service. It is slow no matter how busy they are. I totally get slow service when they are slammed but when the restaurant is half empty there is no excuse waiting an hour for your dinner or having to ask three times for a drink refill. I came here with a co worker for lunch one day and I just love this place. For starters, we each ordered the crab bisque! And omg it was amazing. I have read some mixed reviews about the crab bisque, but honestly I thought it was perfectly cooked and it wasn't super watery or too thick it was just perfect to me ! For our entrees, we ordered the special they had, which was steak frites with a salad and fries. They have this special sauce as well and omg !! Ah-mazing! I enjoyed walking up to the restaurant, as the store has done a great job with eye catching displays for you to observe (and possibly purchase ;) on your route. We were both texted and called within 30 minutes of our arrival to confirm our lunch reservation, which made me sure that they would be busy. Despite the full restaurant, we were seated and served promptly. We were offered the drink menu immediately, which I appreciated, as it was 5 o'clock somewhere! 3.5 Stars Surprisingly crowded on a Friday afternoon for lunch, we didn't have reservations so the five of us were stuck awkwardly at a booth with a chair stuck on the end. Fortunately, our waiter was very helpful, and was quite patient with my group of drinking ladies who lunch. I think the restaurant caters to the Nordstrom clientele (and yes, I know this is a generalization) slim fashionable women, who don't need large portions, and money is no object. Sadly - that does not describe me. So, while the food was delicious, I thought the portions were small, and expensive for what they were. My friend and I split 2 of their specials: the blackened grouper sandwich with fries, and the seared tuna salad. Both the grouper and the tuna were perfectly cooked and very flavorful. The small salad with the tuna had a delicious dressing on it. I usually love their french fries, but these came out cold, and weren't as good as usual. Cocktails were outstanding; I had a summer gin specialty drink, and it was tasty and refreshing. Quite an incredible restaurant in Tampa. We live in Orlando and unfortunately our Nordstrom's Café bistro closed along with Nordstrom's at the Florida Mall. We took the opportunity to check this restaurant out and it was absolutely comparable in the quality of product and service levels. our server was Kathy and she was very knowledgeable about the menu, helpful with our allergies, and just very on point with a higher level of service and friendliness. I had theKung Pao brussels sprouts as well as the prime French dip and fries and my wife had the wild salmon Nicoise. My French dip was mind-boggling good, fries were cooked perfectly and very tasty. My wife's salad was just a bit overdressed and not as good as mine. My wife would have rated a four star so I'm going with my five star as the overall experience from food to the service levels and atmosphere was great. Whenever we're back in Tampa, we will definitely pay a visit to this location again. This restaurant was very well-staffed with very trained efficient and hospitable associates serving very well-prepared and high-quality food. Every Nordstrom has a signature restaurant on the second floor (or third, in larger stores), nearby the ladies fine clothes. Smart. It's a difficult thing for us ladies, shopping. It's really hard work for us, trying on clothes. So when hunger pangs hit, and the smells of home cooking from Bazille are wafting your way, take a much needed break and give in to the wonderfulness that Bazille is. No need to do it on the cheap at the food court, (which is far away anyway), where you'll have taken a sub-par meal compared to Nordstrom's Bazille. I just had one of the BEST 'Prime Rib French Dip' ever consumed in my life! Seriously, what they do with this meat results in a spectacular mouth feel of meltingly tender lean medium-rare Prime Rib that is sliced paper-thin and piled high on a crunchy Toasted Parmesan Baguette, then paired with a high-quality Sharp White Cheddar Cheese that is gloriously melted over the Prime Rib, creating a soft cheesy overflow. The homemade beefy and richly deep Au Jus provided for dipping puts the crowning touch on this comfort food, and makes every bite drenched in perfection. For $16.95, yes this is a pricey sandwich, but it's totally worth the expenditure. The Prime Rib French Dip comes with either a Side Salad or French Fries. No Thousand Island or Blue Cheese dressings here..No, they are all sophisticated offerings. As they were recited to me, the Ginger Sesame Dressing called to me, and it was divine. The salad is a concoction of Spring Greens, topped with a cloud of fluffy shaved Parmesan Cheese and topped with crisp homemade Baguette Croutons. A lot of Yelperazzi would be smart to eat a good salad every once in awhile lol. This one is stellar. The shoestring French Fries became limp on the ride home, but a brief time in the oven brought them back to their glory. The French Fries are served with Bazille's signature Kalamata Olive Aioli. I wasn't a fan of the Aioli, but some mustard instead took care of it. This meal will cost you 1,340 Calories with French Fries, and 970 Calories with the Side Salad. I had both so figure it out, I don't want to know! A small glitch where the girl who took my order thought my meal came with both Side Salad and French Fries, so it was ordered that way. When I was presented with the bill and questioned the additional charge of $5.95, the bartender explained the girl was new and then graciously took that part off my bill. The Nordstrom brand has never been anything but classy. A small positive thing, but not so small since I am a 'Green Girl' is that Nordstrom's Bazille Restaurant uses Bio-Degradable Carry-Out Containers. This is the first restaurant, in my two years of living here, that uses Bio-Degradable containers. I am highly disturbed by those detrimental styrofoam to-go containers. We were seated immediately and our waiter was very attentive throughout our entire meal. The service was quick for how busy it was. Our drinks came within 5 minutes and our meal took less than 20 minutes to arrive. The atmosphere was fun, the food was cooked perfectly, and we walked away extremely satisfied. The service here is always on point, everyone is friendly and usually familiar with the menu. We started off with Happy Hour, enjoying the ever so popular Amelia Cocktail and paired that with the Heirloom Tomatoes and Burrata appetizer!
