The food is like nothing I've had before the cheeseling whole chicken and the Caribbean whole chicken are my top favorites picks, I haven't really sat down so I don't know much about the ambiance. It seems like a fast food seating area. The service is a 6/10 I've been there way too many times I'd imagine they know me at that point I always come in dressed in a suit since I only eat there once a week when I'm working near by, I'd imagine they'd know who I am, and not only that my name is unique not many people are Khalid Kanoni, I hate that they make me search on my email for confirmation even though I know what I ordered and tell them the exact order, they make me feel like I'm stealing mind you I fricking tip them 15% all the time too. The store in Cerritos never does that to me, that inconvenience is the only reason they are getting a 4 star review from me. I live in the cerritos area and prefer that shop I've been in the Cerritos store only 3 times and they already know who I am, meanwhile here it's always the same lady making me search on my email for a message. And what I dread the most is when the store is empty and I pick up food from there and there are no other online orders yet I'm forced to look for the email on my phone. If I didn't like the food the rating would've been a 3 at the most. But luckily the food is a 10/10 I personally can't imagine them making chicken taste any better than it does. It's like crack. I was kicked out of the restaurant for no apparent reason. I wasn't allowed to eat my food that I purchased and it was about 98° degrees outside were I was forced to eat at on the tables in front of the restaurant. I ordered takeout from here for the first time today. I wasn't sure how it would taste. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the original spicy chicken, and it was crispy and tasty. It wasn't breaded too much, and it had a nice golden crisp with juicy chicken when I bit into it. It also had a nice light spicy kick to it. I also ordered the kitchen fried rice, which I enjoyed eating. Had lots of veggies and meat in it. It wasn't too salty like some places I've been to. It was a good-sized portion. The chicken was not as crispy as I would've liked and the secret sauce was about the sweetest non-dessert sauce that I've ever eaten in my life. I have a huge sweet tooth but this was over-the-top sweet. As for the ddeok bokki, it was ok but the sauce was too watered down. All our food also came out separately and there was a long delay before we got the fried chicken. I ordered the honey garlic sauce and it was not brought out with my fried chicken. I told our server and he apologized and told me that he would get it for me. After waiting awhile I went to the counter and again asked my waiter for the sauce, at which time he says, "oh yea, the sauce." He goes back to organizing togo orders while I'm still waiting for him to get my sauce. I tell him I need the sauce so I can eat my chicken while its hot and he then tells me that they are busy. I get that they are busy getting togo orders figured out but that's not my problem. First of all, it takes a few seconds to get some sauce out from the kitchen (that I should've gotten when my food first came out) and second of all, if the restaurant is overwhelmed, the ownership needs to get more employees instead of burdeninig their customers. There were multiple open tables for us to sit and they didn't let us sit there even though we ordered and paid for food. She said it was only for dine in customers but there are four open tables and you won't let us have a table? I've never had this problem at literally any other bbq chicken restaurant before and I've been to 4 other bbq chicken restaurants. They didn't tell us in advance that we can only eat at the table if it's dine in only. They just asked if it's dine in or take out. I typically cant finish all of my food at bbq chicken bc they sell their food in big family sized portions and not individual portions which is why I like to order to go to save time. I just eat some until I'm satisfied and then leave. And we were already sitting at the tables waiting for our food for 20 minutes and then she decided to ask us to leave the table. It is not consistent with their rules and it is honestly so rude and inconsiderate of the restaurant to ask you to leave the table when you've already been sitting there for 20 minutes and when you've paid and when there's several open tables. read more

Second time getting the soy garlic wings from this location. First time around I gave them the benefit of the doubt when my soy garlic wings had practically no sauce. This time I made sure to specify EXTRA sauce and stated what happened last time. I wasn't upset about it as I figured they were working out the kinks due to the grand opening. However this "extra" sauce is maybe (maybe even less than) the regular amount of sauce that I've gotten at the various other bbq chicken locations I've been to. I am so very happy that Brea now has a BB.Q Chicken. The location is small but does the job. Service was absolutely fantastic. This was the best service we have ever had at a BB.Q Chicken. The boneless golden original is the absolute most flavorful and juicy chicken ever. It was served piping hot. The cole slaw and pickled radish are the perfect garnishes for the meal. The fried dumplings were delicious. My husband and I also shared the bulgogi beef bowl, and it was amazing. Per request, you can also get the cabbage salad with house made dressing. It is so tasty. The server also gave us some mozzarella sticks on the house since it was our first time dining at this location. We washed our food down with ice-cold beer and soju. Overall, we loved everything, and this will be our new favorite location. I feel like this chain popped up everywhere all of a sudden but after visiting 2 locations they're consistently good. The original is a favorite although it has a white pepper spice and isn't truest plain. I love this but if you have kids they might think it's spicy. I also tried the honey garlic which is so good especially paired with the white radish. The chicken js always perfectly crispy and their sauces pair really well. Service was good but the older lady seemed overwhelmed which the younger guy working was holding down the fort. They had a lot of orders but seemed to be keeping up. For now, this is probably the best Korean Fried Chicken in Brea. Using that as a baseline, theres not much competition in this area yet since Brea is such a food desert. Fingers crossed Brea gets more authentic asian food! Brea has a weird mix of fusion food, nasty asian food, and trash American junk food (with exception to Mendocino Farms and a couple of other places.) Hopefully BB.Q Chicken coming in changes this! It's not a favorable part of the chicken to eat and it's tedious to pick out a bunch of tiny bones. I think I ate some of the tiny bones by accident. Chicken was decent but the sauces on the chicken were borderline disgusting. I got boneless Secret Sauce wings and boneless Galbi wings. The Secret Sauce wings were so sweet they tasted like desert, and not a good desert. I couldn't tell if I was eating Korean fried chicken, or if I was eating fried chicken inside funnel cake batter.
