I love this place and default to it when I'm not sure what to eat. Self serve is the only downside but it's not really an issue. Depending on when you go, it's completely packed or a ghost town. Downtown Burbank location, lots of free parking. I use the parking structures and walk maybe three minutes to the shop. Boneless honey garlic and spicy galbi absolutely smack. This was awesome Korean fried chicken!!!! Never seen wings this big in my life! 4 wings plus a side is a meal. You'll need to order 8 wings of the game variety so prepared to take plenty home for later. I had the galbi spicy which was a perfect level of spicy and flavorful. Not as intense as the Nashville places. You can eat in or take out. Industrial vibe with K-pop playing on the large monitors. Our food came packaged to go even though we were eating in. Turned out to be convenient that way since we had a LOT of leftovers. One complaint: the honey garlic wings, while being excellent in flavor, are not marked as spicy. But these ARE spicy. Not intensely so, but enough to bother my dining partner. He doesn't like spicy and couldn't eat these. These should be marked properly on the menu. The Kim Chee fried rice was decent and came with a sunny age egg on top. This was definitely enough for four servings. While the prices appear a bit high after totalling everything, you get a lot of food out of an order, so pricing is actually quite fair. Oh and the chicken? Perfectly crispy, tender and flavorful. This little hole in the wall I drove past for years until one day I decided to try this god given place. When I say healthy fried chicken that is the crispiest you've ever eaten is an understatement.My to go to is the original half chicken it has classic yet good seasoning flavor with bone and the galbi wings. Flavors are incredible!!!! The oil they use cooks the chicken evenly and you can tell it's fresh. If you love fried chicken try this place. It takes about 20 mins to order but the service is fast. Great new Korean fried chicken spot in Burbank! Their soy garlic and honey garlic chicken is a must try. It's light, crispy, juicy and packed with flavor. Last Sunday I went to Burbank to visit a friend, until I remember that there's a new branch of bb.q chicken so I decided to stop by and try to dine in. I ordered my usual fav, bonelesss original chicken. Food: never disappoints me. Still the good taste and quality the way they cook and fried the chicken. Service: I'll be honest, not as good customer service compare to their branch in Pasadena. The lady who got my order didn't even have energy or smile in her face when she ask my order, maybe in her bad day or tired but still not a good impression from a customer like me. I even the one ask her if she has a cup of water and another cup of ice for the soda that I order. She's very busy to her cellphone. I was quite disappointed too when they gave me disposable plate and utensils, unlike in their Pasadena branch you can feel the vibe of Korean restaurant. If you haven't tried this place yet... highly recommend you do soon! And if there is a line or a wait of 15-20 minutes, it is worth waiting for. It seems they make the fried chicken fresh when you order, rather than frying up a bunch and leaving it under a heat lamp like Popeyes and Gus's. Gross! So if you don't want to wait, phone it in or get it delivered to you through Grubhub or Ubereats. Ordered a small Galbi wings today and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was fried and wrapped around Galbi sauce and sprinkled with green onions. I'll have to try the Honey wings next time. The pickled radish was refreshing and crunchy. There are so many flavors to choose from! At first I was a little disappointed as I wanted to try bb.q Chicken - Burbank on my lunch break as I'm right down the street, not judging service as I ordered my meal to-go.. ordered the Golden Original Boneless 8pc and a side of steamed rice. I noticed how expensive not only the entrees are but also the sides (almost $10 for fries,) maybe for a sit-down experience... but not for my 30 min break! For $20+ plus tip I maybe expected better things as my coworkers have been raving about it (though they all ordered mobile to-go orders.) My order took 30-40 mins in a seemingly uncrowded restaurant, nobody picking up mobile orders, and by this point my break was over by 5 mins and I was a little frazzled. Next time, I'll do pickup order and I suggest the same for anyone ordering in a pinch-- OTHERWISE I finally got to sit down and enjoy my meal (at home, hours later) and it air-fried nicely! The boneless 8pc is crispy, juicy, and PLENTY (I could've done with a 6 piece or less) and I think the steamed rice is more bang for your buck! When we asked for the status, they keep saying "5 more minutes." It's completely BS! I've ordered from this bb.q location(Burbank) about 10 times and have always been satisfied. However, the one I ordered today tasted very different. All three flavors lacked seasoning, and the chicken was extremely bland. It seems like the chicken wasn't properly marinated. Finally, a really good chicken place in downtown Burbank! The original and secret sauce are my go-to favorite chicken flavors so far. The rosé ddeok-bokki with cheese is also a new favorite. The chicken is excellent, no doubt about it. You can't go wrong with the soy garlic wings. Where you can go wrong, however, is thinking you can order in-store and wait 5 minutes for them to box up the chicken from a premade batch. I'm assuming they're made to order because the past couple times it took 20+ minutes. And you may be thinking, well, just order online ahead of time. Yes. And yet, the past couple times ordering online, my order wasn't ready when it was supposed to be. 10+ minute wait both times after arrival. On top of all that, it's pretty friggin' pricey for chicken wings. And the lunch special isn't all that special, price-wise. Hopefully, the wait times will get better since it's still a relatively new spot on the block. Tried this place a few days after it opened. Ordered two half chickens, one original flavor and the other secret sauce. That secret sauce was super flavorful, and the chicken still had a good crunch to it. Inside, the chicken was cooked through but still very moist. Very well done. Took too long to serve. My gf ordered food at around 6.10pm (it said on the phone receipt). We waited patiently and it was around 6 37. So i just check in... i ask the guy hey do you have my order and he looked at the orders looking confused. "No, not ready." Okay i see that other people are getting their food and my gf said ask how long itll take. So i check in and hes on his phone and a line is kinda forming behind me... so i wait patiently... and he finally looks at me. "Yeah how long like a guesstimate?" I said He look again confused. Ever since CLOY, i have been wanting to try Korean fried chicken. I am so glad they opened in Burbank! Not much of a fan of anything spicy but they have plenty more options for me on the menu. My fave so far is the honey garlic bone in wings. Their small is a good size, still had plenty leftovers that were still crunchy and good for next day's lunch at work. Will definitely try everything else on the menu. Service crew was nice and helpful. There was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. So don't go if you are in a rush. There is no better chicken wing in Burbank. In fact Burbank doesn't even deserve this place when you have lines of cars outside of Cane's and yet I can walk in here with only one table being served at 12pm. If you think Cane's is good, don't go here. Also you probably had saltines and milk for your breakfast cereal growing up. Everything from the crispiness of the batter, to the rich flavors without being a wet mess on your fingers makes this above and beyond anything from Wing Stop, BWW, or any other place serving wings. We were surprised by the food portions! We ordered: honey garlic boneless, secret sauce 1/2, bulgogi poutine, waffle fries, turnips, rice cakes, and kimchi fried rice. This was too much for our family of 4. The chicken was juicy and big, not tiny wings. Every dish was solid and compared well to our experiences in Koreatown. This place is honestly one of the best I've ever been to. It's so much like the ones that I get over in k-town. Only it's slightly different because they have so many more options here as well as their tteok-boki is so so good, especially with cheese on it. Highly recommend this place if you want. Very juicy yet crispy chicken. They also have this thing if you want to try it which is half and half which gives you their original golden on one half and then the other half you could get a secret spicy which is a slightly sweet and spicy sauce while they're hot and spicy is super super hot. While the chicken here is good, I feel like I gotta take off one star for the service and one star for the price. 8 pieces of chicken costs 16 bucks. I get that the pieces are bigger than your average wings from Buffalo Wild Wings, but that's still a lot of money for just 8 pieces. No matter what you order, you will be waiting at least 20 mins for it. It seems like the kitchen has no system in place to keep chicken cooking at all times and everything is most likely made to order which is probably why it takes so long. The attitude of the staff taking my phone order was really poor. I tried to order the Yangneum chicken, but she said there was no such menu and told me not to ask her but to look at the menu and order. When I said I couldn't because I was driving, she told me to pull over and look at the menu. I ended up ordering something randomly based on what I could remember, and it was too spicy to eat. We enjoyed their food. They opened about a month ago and the food did take a while to arrive. If you're at work for a lunch break then I suggest calling in ahead. For us it took almost 30 minutes maybe they were low staffed who knows. We ordered the honey garlic wings ,soy garlic wings, and cheese fries and they were really good highly recommend . Rose Tteobokki with cheese and Original Fried Chicken is my favorite combo. Their tteobokki is on sweeter creamier side which I love. Special treat once a month since it's high calorie but delicious. Don't forget side of pickled radish for refresher. read more
