Great greeting at the entrance. In fact everyone on the staff was friendly. Saw one of our favorite servers from another restaurant who explained their process for us. Sides sold by small/large plastic container. We ordered green beans, baked beans, and Mac&cheese. Next you slide down to the meats station where choices are sold by the 1/2 lb. We chose baby back ribs and brisket. (I commented the brisket looked dry and another small piece of blackened meat was pulled from the foil. I know the difference between bark and incineration.) you also get a choice between tortillas or a potato roll, we chose rolls. We also ordered beverages and we were handed cups for the soda machines. We were told the sauces were around the corner. Found the soda machines (hard to hide.) Next to the soda machines was a plastic cutlery dispenser that dispenses one knife, fork, spoon at a time. Next to the cutlery dispenser was a napkin dispenser followed by a row of four plunger dispensers with little plastic containers and lids. The BBQ station sauce dispenser needed to be refilled (and was) however, it didn't dispense any sauce while we were there. We liked the Sweet 66 sauce, it not too impressed with the Carolina or Habanero sauces. By the time we settled in to eat everything was cold. Ribs were gristly, brisket dry, green beans were leathery, beans more like refried than baked, Mac&cheese tasteless, no butter for the rolls. We live out of town and have been wanting to visit BBQ Station for a while. We finally were able to make it last weekend and were not disappointed. We had the brisket, dino beef ribs, and turkey breast for protein and southern rice, mac & cheese, slaw, country salad, queso, corn, and mushrooms. We probably over ordered but was all so delicious! The food was amazing and the service was terrific. When you see the custom smokers out back you'll know exactly how legit this place is. We will definitely come back repeatedly to get our BBQ fix. We live in town and slowly watched them turn an old restaurant into the new "BBQ Station" on Route 66 in Glendora. For Father's Day my husband wanted to try their food. We ordered beef rib, pulled pork, brisket, pork ribs and Mac n cheese. We (7) all agreed it was AMAZING food!! I'm not usually a big fan of barbecue, but everything was delicious! Their sauce was yummy . The only drawback was the price! But I have to say if you're having a special day or event it's well worth the price. Waited almost all year for this place to open, so I was excited when I drove by and saw it open (happened to be day 2) - parking is great and inside is fresh and clean with lots of seating - especially liked the outdoor patio. Bar was right in the middle of the restaurant which seemed a bit out of place - perhaps putting the bar to the left as you enter would have been nicer for just grabbing a quick meal and a cold beverage. Was a bit chaotic because it was new and no real directions on how the ordering process worked, but staff were all super friendly and patient as they helped you along. Ordering Cafeteria style is gonna be pretty cumbersome in the beginning because everything is new so you'll spend time trying to figure out what's even on the menu which takes time and will back up the line. Everything being Al a Cart and Not having any pre-set Combo meals seems like a mistake as this could speed the process up some. Prices seemed a bit high considering this was not close to typical Texas BBQ quality. I bought 3/4 of rack of pork ribs (2 bones missing from a full rack), 1/2 pound of Salmon, 1 pound of Brisket and Pulled Pork with 2 small sides for $180. Ribs were a bit dry but the bbq sauces helped. Brisket was moist and tasty. Pulled pork was mostly Meh (too dry) but the Smoked Salmon was excellent. Had the potato salad (based on recommendation from counter server) and beans - I won't be getting either of these ever again as they were very sub par for any bbq joint. P.S. Banana Pudding was very good! I will definitely give them another try after they work out the kinks and improve the quality of their sides and hopefully work out some Combos you can choose from, but that may be some months down the road. read more

I walked into this place after driving by and getting a glimpse of smoked barbecue in the air. Immediately upon walking in, I was greeted with about four hellos. As I approached the counter, one young lady asked if I would like to sample the brisket and sausage I obliged, and tried both. The samples were absolutely outstanding. I ordered the brisket tray along with two salads, and topped it off with a peach cobbler. I have to say I hadn't had a meal like this in a long time outside of my mother and father's cooking. From the time I walked in until the time I left I felt at home. The food was great and the customer service was even better. The owner touch tables with everyone, and the ladies that worked there were also very kind and professional. I remember one of the ladies name being Haley. She was super kind. If ever in the Glendora area, you should stop by and check this place out. You won't be disappointed. Great food and Awesome customer service ; can't beat it. This place is legit. I travel to Texas and South Carolina a lot for work, and the meats and sides could stand up to the BBQ joints in those areas. They also have some quality draft beers, which most places in the south lack. Portion sizes are pretty good with our family of 4 all being satisfied. read more

As a BBQ aficionado who has eaten at BBQ joints across the U.S., I'd like to share my experience, starting with the prices, which were my biggest issue. The sides were particularly expensive; for example, most sides are $15+ for the large size, and the mac and cheese was flavorless and very dry. The tangy slaw and potato salad were good, and my wife enjoyed the mashed potatoes. I have never been to a restaurant where there are no cost variances in the sides, some sides are more expensive than others to make and in my opinion, should be priced as such. The highlight of my meal was the bite I had of my daughter's banana pudding--it was delicious. As for the meat, it was good but not spectacular; the brisket and pork were dry. The sauce was decent, and I stuck with the warm Texas-style option. The staff was friendly and did well considering it was an opening. However, the cost was steep: $147 for food for three people and $20 for two beers. I think adding some sandwich optionswith a side choice included would help to add a price point to help increase business. I hope the owners consider the feedback and adjust the prices accordingly. I probably won't visit often, which is disappointing because it's decent BBQ, especially for California. I understand that factors like the time taken to open, high minimum wage, location, and remodel may influence pricing, but BBQ is meant to be accessible to everyone. Its roots are in lower socio-economic communities, and as a purist, I hope they can rethink their pricing model to be more inclusive. read more

Cons: Slow line to get your food (and we were the only ones in line), pricey for the quality, the soda options- no iced/sweet tea?, poorly decorated, weird layout, side options could be better (no fries). Great food! I didn't think much of it walking in because they're so new, and had a bad experience with Smoke and fire. But the service was great, some good music playing, and a soda fountain next to the bar. Meat comes in portions of 1/3, 1/2 and full pounds, sides come in small and large. I got the smoked brisket, it was great, the gristle was super sweet and the meat itself was falling apart while trying to pick it up, Mac and cheese was amazing. Definitely coming back, hope they are here to stay in Glendora! Also for anyone reading that runs the business, it would be more cost effective to put the sides on the paper using different sized ladles with the meat rather than a plastic cup. read more

BBQ Station was amazing! We were here for a Friendsgiving and had the backroom reserved for our party. We were greeted with the best hospitality. Nico was a great host, and gave us a tour of the back grill. He kept coming around with samples of different items as well as delicious cornbread muffins. We felt like royalty. Bbq station is our new family favorite! The bbq tastes absolutely delicious and of course so tender ! Fall off the bone tender ! The menu is a little confusing at first, but the second time we went, we were able to figure it out. Our favorite is the pork ribs, pulled pork and brisket. Oh and the nacho cheese! For a family of 4 we spend under $100 not including tip. We also had plenty of left overs. I will say that pricing , service, and food is on par with Gus's and Lucille's. I worked with Niko, long ago! After I heard of him opening up this BBQ Station down the street from me, my family and I had to go! I had the turkey breast with mushrooms and Mac and cheese. The mushrooms let me tell ya are to die for a perfect combination with the bread and butter! The staff also lets just sample a few sides which were also delicious The bartender was very nice and attentive. We all had such a great meal for my husband's birthday. The brisket was incredibly tender, and both meats were flavorful. We chose two small sides, the mashed potatoes and the mixed vegetables, which were more than enough for us and both were very good. The meal included a choice between tortillas or a roll. We tried one of each, although in my opinion, the roll was somewhat oversized. The banana pudding we had for dessert was outstanding! Despite some reviews mentioning the necessity to order a full pound, as listed on the menu, this isn't required; you can ask about different serving sizes. They'll even weigh and show it to you before billing, so you're aware of the exact amount you're purchasing. We also had the opportunity to take a brief tour of the newly built smokehouse out back, which was quite impressive. The owners prioritize food quality, which regrettably means the prices might be higher than some are willing to pay. The BBQ Station is beautiful and a great addition to the community. I have actually eaten there twice now. The food was great. We had brisket, pulled pork, mac & cheese, mushrooms, and potato salad for around $60. This more than fed my family of three. I also went at lunch with a friend and had the Turkey, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. This all was great too. The meats have great flavor and the BBQ sauce is top-notch. It is so fun to see the smokers in the back plus they smell amazing. The only thing I would change or add is perhaps a lunch special like a sandwich, a side, and drink for x dollars. The service was great too. For only being open for 4 days I think they ran smoothly. If you've ever been to a BBQ house before you know it takes a little time to cut and weigh meat and I think they were efficient and friendly. We loved our food and our experience there. When I went to pay it cost a whopping $114.00! I was shocked. Maybe for a fancy sit down restaurant but not a cafeteria type restaurant.
