TL;DR: great value meal, good yakisoba, sauce not too spicy I felt like I was a transfer student getting my first cheap meal in the area. It reminded me of what I would eat at my own school. BB's Teriyaki Grill is a great option for an affordable way to get a ton of food. I think this place knows its audience, though. Don't come in expecting a preppy, clean plate of teriyaki, and I'm almost sure you already don't expect that. A great deal with good food! I ordered the spicy teriyaki chicken with brown rice, yakisoba, and stir fried vegetables. SPICY TERIYAKI CHICKEN PLATE (4/5) - Huge amount of food - Yakisoba was a really tasty, chow mein-like dish - Veggies were super underwhelming - Good amount of chicken on the plate too - Sauce wasn't too spicy at all GYOZA (4/5) - Great addition for only $2 - Nothing crazy to write home about Getting our food was pretty quick. Think Chipotle for teriyaki - super simple menu and an ability to mix and match. You choose your carb, your protein, and veggies (steamed broccoli, mixed greens, cabbage slaw). The portions are MASSIVE - easily enough for 2-3 meals (which, for $9, is a steal). The food is decent, but definitely not extremely "authentic". Super quick service, plenty of seating, and clean and bright inside. Perfect to feed and fill up the college crowd. read more

The service, portioning and taste is all great here! One $9 tray can even be split between two people, with a nice balance of options like pickled cabbage, stir-fry veggies, salad, yakisoba, white & brown rice, and some others. The spicy chicken ain't that spicy, but it's still delicious. The environment is also nice - warm and inviting, with really kind staff as well. The first time I went in, there was dank latin music playing, and this last time there was even more dank reggae playing, so obviously I'mma frequent this place more often so I can dance around and eat delicious food at the same time. Also, all things like trays, cups, utensils etc. are compostable! Dank. Come here. It deserves more love. read more

The meat tasted really old, brisket is ultra dry-- tasted like old meat preheated from a day or 2 ago, the shredded pork is so dry.... uneatable.... I would not come back see attached photo please. read more

I've been eating here for more than a year. And I recently found out that their meat portion becomes smaller and smaller every time i go. I'm a little disappointed to see the change. Today I asked for beef and the guy gave me a small portion of beef that has a lot of fat on it, which to me seems like the kind of meat that other people don't like. This is my go to after work. I also work in the service industry and it is hard to find places open when I get off work. This has been a staple in my top ten places I go to. The food is always amazing. Really quick service, even if you place an online order. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The vibe you get from guests dining says it all. Top tear service and food for the price. Highly recommend for someone looking for a quick bite. You can also order on the healthier side. They have wonderful vegetable sides. Reconditions from me: Definitely try the spicy teriyaki chicken, cabbage salad, cucumber salad, and broccoli side. I like the Chipotle style concept and there are flexible options to customize the meal based on your preference. The service is very quick and that's exactly what college students need. Though $9 before tax and tip is not that cheap, for such a big portion, it's not bad at all. read more

Nothing authentic about it and the sauce just soaks through the compostable box, not worth 9 dollars even with the large quantity, can never finish it anyways not because it's a lot but because it's gross. Delicious! Has a sweet taste to the teriyaki. I love how the restaurant looks as well. It's fast service, to-go, delicious recipe and simple ingredients. Ate here for the first time after hearing about it from friends for a while. Definitely one of the best teriyaki places in the Seattle area. The spicy chicken was juicy and had good heat, without being overpowering to the flavor. The sides were on point and the portions were ridiculously generous, especially for the price. I went for dinner and definitely did not leave hungry. The vibe was chill, clean and contemporary. I could see this place branching out into more neighborhoods without much difficulty and would welcome it in mine. Met the owner, too. He had a great story to tell about how it came to be through a culinary journey of teriyaki to get it just right. I'd say it definitely hits the mark. read more

I really enjoyed this place. First things first, you can tell that it is extremely clean and the open kitchen shows their confidence in the way that they do things. I always appreciate a place with an open kitchen. The next thing I really liked was he simplicity. I am a big teriyaki fan, and I am always confused when "teriyaki" places have a menu littered with other items. These guys focus on one thing and do it really well. The chicken was tender and juicy and I really enjoyed th cabbage salad and the yakisoba. I ordered spicy chicken and my one knock is that the spicy really wasn't as spicy as I was hoping. If thy kicked it up a fw notches this would easily be 5 stars. They do however have additional spicy sauce and sriracha that you can add to kick up the spice level yourself. This is pretty much fast food teriyaki. Large portions and mediocre food! I wouldn't recommend the yakisoba noodles because they were very bland. The chicken is pretty good, but can be a bit chewy. I'm a student University of Washington, and have tried pretty much every teriyaki place on the Ave in the last 5 years. BB's is far and away my favorite. Both their sauces are fantastic, but I'm a huge fan of their spicy teriyaki sauce. At most places you will either get sauce that is too spicy and overwhelms the other flavors, or sauce that is not spicy enough. BB's sauce delivers the perfect amount of heat, with great flavor as well. BB's also has a ton of healthy options. For their sides they offer options like broccolli and cabbage salad (which both taste great), and after eating here three times their chicken seems to be much higher quality than similar joints on the Ave. This is far from the usual gut bomb that you will get at other teriyaki restaurants. The inside of the restaurant is actually clean, too! This is unheard of when it comes to Ave restaurants. The employees are super nice, and despite a short line the few times I've been their service has been speedy. BB's is the only teriyaki restaurant on the Ave that I'll go to any more. If you live around the area its definitely worth a visit. read more

I was interested to come here after hearing varying things about it. But I really have nothing good to say about it. The price is alright, but any other teriyaki place has around the same price. I have to label this as the worst teriyaki place on the Ave. It is so inauthentic and it tasted like the "teriyaki" I can get at a school cafeteria (like local point). The yakisoba was really something else, it tasted like... a cookie? like sweet cinnamon and it was not good at all. They drenched way too much sauce on the teriyaki that I didn't have a single grain of rice not soaked in sauce. What's even weirder is that even though there was so much sauce on the teriyaki and such a gross taste for the yakisoba, both were immensely bland. The cabbage salad tasted microwaved and was sour in a bad way. Overall, would not recommend, if you want real teriyaki, go over to University Teriyaki and Bakery or Nasai. This place was not it, far from good, authentic teriyaki anywhere else on the Ave. read more

BB's Teriyaki Grill is another one of the locations on the Ave who have capitalized on this new trend of "make-your-own-bowl" style of food, but I have to say, that I personally did not find it to be either novel or exciting. I suppose it's fun to be able to have more options on a teriyaki plate but for me, one of the things I like best about teriyaki is that you can go to any place and pretty much expect the same simple meal without too much fuss. In any case, with the other options, I was pretty disappointed with the yakisoba option - it's really just plain noodle yakisoba, and my friend who got the vegetable stir fry wasn't impressed with that either. Besides the base, the teriyaki itself was nothing special and not particularly flavorful, and just okay. I liked having the options for adding the sauce on top, but they ended up drenching my rice and by the time I got to eating, it was too mushy to be enjoyable :-( Overall, I didn't find this place to be worth the extra bit you pay for a teriyaki meal that allows a little more freedom than other places. A place I might go back to if a friend wanted to go but definitely not my first choice for teriyaki on the Ave. read more

I was actually looking for another eatery when I ran across this place. The best part of this place is the people. Super nice and friendly. They helped a newbie like me order my meal. For the price, you get a lot of food. I was full, but not stuffed because it's all healthy food and doesn't sink in your stomach like a lot of fast food. I happen to like the simple menu that is displayed and easy to follow (similar to Chipotle). I don't usually order rice, so I like that I can choose what I want and not be forced to have a mound of rice that I don't eat.
