We came on a Sunday and were seated at the counter in about ten minutes. Parking is scarce, so you might need to park on the street. The hostess and waitresses were all friendly and attentive. Tanya gave us great service during the experience. We had coffee, a Vanilla Latte, Robin's Benedict, and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with two eggs and bacon (Pooh's Sunrise combo). We stumbled upon Bea Bea's when looking for a brunch place to eat near Universal Studios. Having arrived late morning, there was already a wait outside. However, we were lucky enough to wait about 5 minutes and got seated outside. There is no physical menu. You have to scan the QR code that's imprinted on the center of the table. It's a nice menu with many options. From pancakes to french toasts, to crepes and omelettes. Many options for your pallet. I don't know if it's an advantage sitting outside because I have to constantly look for the waiter/waitress when they come outside and get their attention. Took awhile just to get our order placed. However, the food arrived within 10 minutes. We had scramble eggs and the apple cobbler with macadamia nuts pancakes. One order of pancake comes with 3 medium sized pancakes! So be sure to come hungry to grub! We LOVED the pancakes! It was light and fluffy. The macadamia nuts add a really nice crunch and texture to the fluffy pancakes. I really liked this combo. The only thing that bothers me was my servers long hair touching the glasses I was drinking out of. My partner and I placed our order as soon as we were seated (we try to be prepared and always look at the menu ahead of time). The food was delicious and came out so fast. The only time our waiter interacted with us was to take our order and bring out our food. Not once did he check on us to see if we needed anything. I even did the hand thing and tried to call our waiter just to be ignored. I also waited more than 10 minutes for my check. I would give this location 0 stars if I could. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because the chicken wrap I ordered was decent. It was missing lettuce, but the flavor itself was good. What was very concerning, however, were the health and hygiene issues I observed during my visit. Employees were walking in, clocking in, and going straight to work without washing their hands. Some staff members were not in full uniform and did not appear to be wearing proper work shoes. Personal items from employees were also stored around the front-of-house area, including a water flask placed next to the latte machine and personal food items stored near service areas. Because I was seated along the long front counter, I had a clear view of the kitchen and prep areas. One employee entered the kitchen wearing shorts, Nike shoes, and a hat worn backwards, which did not appear to follow proper uniform or safety standards. No one came to check it everything was fine or needed anything . Did not enjoy the ambiance . Even more concerning, I observed the same employee blowing his nose, placing tissue into his nose, putting the used paper towel back into his pocket, and then immediately walking over to the bread station to begin serving bread--without washing his hands. If basic health department procedures like handwashing are not being followed, it raises serious concerns about overall food safety practices. Management should review the camera footage between approximately 8:18 AM and 8:45 AM to see these issues firsthand and ensure that all staff are properly trained and consistently following basic health and safety procedures. The menu is large and has a lot of different options, like sandwiches, burgers, scrambles, omelets...just a nice selection of different plates. The first day I had a scramble with egg whites, turkey sausage, cheese, tortilla strips and jalapeño, with potatoes on the side.....it was so good! The send day I had a at the same time that grilled turkey bacon cheese and tomato sandwich with tater tots on the side, and it's the first time I've been in a restaurant where the bread was grilled but not dripping and grease! As you would expect with good food they are busy here but they are very tentative and quick to get you in as soon as possible, the service is great! Three big pancakes served steaming hot with a side of sweet black bean sauce(maybe cream cheese based? It was heavenly!), maple syrup, and sweetened flaked coconuts with sesame seeds. These toppings accentuated the yumminess of the pancakes. We also split a matcha tea latte which was the right amount of sweetness. Bathroom was nice and clean and they have a separate men's and women's BR. Service was prompt but a bit tepid, when we requested extra plate and forks bc we were sharing, we were met with what looked like surprise and like it was an inconvenience. It may have been a language barrier though. Overall, it's an excellent place for brunch and their lunch menu looks great so we'll have to come back to check it out too. Crab benedict is always my favorite. If this is on the menu I tend to skip everything else. This is where my family took me for my birthday/Mother's Day. The wait time was a little long because we watched on the sidelines waiting for the chaos to unfold. Even though it was busy, all the staff were working together and they all looked like they were all doing their part to keep the restaurant moving. The crab benedict that I ordered was definitely a 5 star experience because crab is one of my favorites. Overall I think this is such a delicious place to have brunch at. I think they could probably throw in one more scoop of potatoes in there since brunch here is on the pricier side or a whole tomato instead of a few slices. I'm not complaining, just wishing. I enjoyed my birthday/Mother's Day brunch here. I finally got the opportunity last weekend to meet a buddy of mine and it was a great experience as busy as it was. Parking is easy since Bea Bea's is essentially, part of a strip mall and as I waited for my friend, I gave my name to the hostess (I didn't make a reservation). They won't seat parties unless everyone's present. As my friend arrived, the hostess was great: she called my name and let us choose from the empty tables inside by the front door. Our own faux pas talking is that we didn't notice the menu's QR code on the table! We got paper menus which I prefer because the menu is absolutely massive! The choices are endless and us foodies love that! Liz got the Pooh's Sunshine with a peach crepe, two scrambled eggs and Bacon. It was amazing! I similarly got the Kin's Sunshine with the pancakes, poached eggs and two sausage with a drip coffee with cream. It was SO delicious! I wish I could have finished the pancakes, as much as I craved them! Service was attentive, polite and efficient. The ambience is one of that of a strip mall diner but that's fine by me. You'll see families, retirees, girlfriends catching up and the like all enjoying brunch inside or out on the patio. Bea Bea's used to be one of my favorite breakfast spots, but after this last visit I left really disappointed. The food has become way overpriced for the type of setting it is. The place feels very run down and old, which makes the high prices even harder to justify. My husband ordered a simple omelette, I got an egg sandwich, and we had two iced coffees. The bill came out to $70 -- which is shocking for such basic breakfast items. On top of that, their "coffee" is not even real coffee. They use powdered vanilla (see picture) that tasted like straight sugar. At $7 a cup, it felt like a complete rip-off. I used to love coming here, but sadly I won't be rushing back. read more

I tried the Green Tea Monster, and the portion size is generous enough for 3 or 4 people. The matcha green tea pancakes are perfectly fluffy. Layered with luscious green tea mascarpone and studded with white chocolate chips, every bite feels indulgent yet refined. The whipped cream adds a light, airy finish, providing a nice contrast to the matcha pancakes. However, I didn't finish the entire dish as it was a bit heavy and definitely on the sweeter side. This dish is most definitely designed for someone who loves lots of carbs and sweetness. IMO, this pancake doesn't seem ideal for leftovers, as the mascarpone and whipped cream could make it soggy over time. One of my favorite breakfast restaurants in the valley, which is saying something because there's a ton of great ones. Bea Bea's is not a diner, more of a casual California breakfast restaurant. We had to wait for about 20 minutes for a party of two for a 10 AM Sunday brunch, but the wait was worth it. The menu on the inside is quite large and they have a ton of great and classic options. Our server was really polite and everything we ordered came out quickly. I would say the pricing is fair and they don't skimp on the portion sizes. Parking is extremely easy because it's located in a shopping center. We were able to find a space right out front. They had a lot of options that I wanted to order on the menu so it took me some time to choose what I wanted to get. We shared the Red Raspberry Pancakes and I especially liked the cream cheese sauce on top, but the pancakes were slightly cakier than I like, I prefer them a bit fluffier, but that's personal preference. We also ordered the Crab Cake Benedict and I thought it was truly great. The crab cake had a lot of great seafood flavor and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I also liked the crispy hashbrowns and overall really liked the dish. We also ordered the Volcano Scramble and thought it was a real stand out. It's a true Mexican inspired scramble with a lot of great southern flavors. Overall, a great breakfast option in Burbank and I plan to be back many times in the future. read more
