I actually had to take a call from my dentist after seating The waitress came over and started to ask me what I wanted to drink and I'm clearly on my phone, so she walks away with an attitude after I told her to wait. She comes back later asking if I'm ready to order now and she said that was rude of me. I said you can clearly see that I'm on my phone. I said now you're being rude and I walked out to the manager told him what happened. He apologized, I told him don't treat your customers this way!!! How dare her!! Had an amazing dining experience with my family last September, and I can't say enough good things about Adam, our server. He was the absolute man! From the moment we sat down, Adam made us feel right at home, like we were VIPs. Every meal we ordered was spot-on delicious; I personally had the Spicy Krab Roll and mashed potatoes with salmon, and they were both fantastic. The flavors were on point, and each dish was beautifully prepared. Adam had this sixth sense where he seemed to know exactly when we needed something, appearing almost magically at the perfect moment. Have a shellfish allergy-luckily am not anaphylactic. Made it very apparent and had a conversation with our waiter who was very kind and reassured us that they would take the upmost care regarding cross contamination. Ordered the Crunchy Salmon Roll and French fries, obviously "tempura" is a method of frying as well as ordering the fries-we were under the assumption that there would be tempura flakes on top of the roll. In retrospect it couldn't have hurt to ask them about methodology; but, when you alert to a shellfish allergy you expect to be notified of cross contamination risks. The oil used to fry the potatoes and sushi must have also been used to fry the shellfish/fish, as while I was still finishing my meal, I noticed my mouth begin to itch and numb. Food took a bit longer than expected to get to the table, second story has a nice open air beach front view. Overall a good place to eat at, just not at all for those with allergies/intolerances. read more

I fell in love with shrimp & grits after eating BHP's entree several years ago. I've since tried (and loved) this dish throughout the south including Husk (Charleston, SC) an Tupelo Honey (Asheville, NC). BHP's dish is still good with a nice spicy but but not too hot. What a cute place!!! Was visiting from out of town and met up with some friends to eat here. The aesthetic is super cute, very well decorated. This is perfect for a day out with the girls or date night. The 2nd story has open views of the beach and pier. The food was super tastey too. We had the wings to start and the flavor was so good. The sauce was sweet and the chicken was great. I had the shrimp and grits for my meal which was a huge portion. The shrimp are a good size and the grits are very well done. I got the rotisserie chicken and kale salad it was very good but I was very turned off by the fact that this place had some aversion to protein. Most things didn't come with any kind of meat and there was barely any chicken in the salad at all. The grilled artichoke appetizer was also horrible. Tuna stack appetizer was pretty good however. I came here for dinner because my friend made a mistake with a Friendsgiving invite lol. I honestly wasn't that impressed with the menu but I did opt for their crispy salmon roll and it was filling but no wow factor. It could've used some scallions for a pop of taste. The ambiance by the water is nice and I think I would definitely come back for brunch to try their day time menu a try. My friend tried the tacos and she said they were also just okay, and my friend who is vegan ordered a salad. The selling point is the view, I mean it is incredibly beautiful, it's literally on the water, you get a beautiful sea breeze, but you also get a pricey bill with subpar food. I've been wanting to try Beach House for a while and it did not disappoint! Their reservations are hard to snag on the weekends. They don't take reservations on the weekends and they only take reservations until Friday 6PM. There was a long wait the first time I tried to dine here so I decided to save it for another time. There's a parking garage down the street that charge $2.50/hour. There were plenty of spots available on Sunday. I got to Beach House and they were able to sit us immediately. We sat close to the window and we could see the view of the beach. Towards the end of our meal, they lifted the panels and had an open breeze which felt nice. It was a really hot summer day, so my date and I ordered frozen cocktails. We had the strawberry daquiri and the pina colada. Definitely did what it needed to do! We felt really refreshed and they came out really pretty. I didn't get to experience the more extensive part of their menu as we just came in for a quick bite, but I did order the fish tacos. They came on flour tortilla and came with two. It was really delicious with their slaw and mango salsa. It was very tasty for a quick casual bite. There's also an upstairs that had a bar and more seats. They kept it very cool and shady so it wouldn't be uncomfortable. I thought both floors were nice. read more

I had come here over a year ago and had the grilled Cesar salad and it was so memorable. A friend was in town and I wanted to bring her here. We started off with drinks which were okay. Then the Tuna stack (not pictured). The tuna appeared to not be as fresh as I should be or it was premade way ahead of time. The tuna had more of a fishy smell than it should. It tasted just okay. The Cesar has great flavor but I recommend you ask for the dressing in the side. They put a lot on which is okay but due to the lettuce being grilled it got things soggy fast. This is not a salad with lettuce that has a crunch to the romaine so know that going in. Like I said the salad has amazing flavor but it was a little different than I remember. Service was slow at first, very few staff working in the middle of the day on a Wednesday. Our waiter ended up being very friendly . Great views though! read more

Bathroom there-parking is street parking or 10$ valet. It's a lovely location but I ordered tacos no corn tortillas but he said he'd put them in lettuce wraps instead. They were grilled fish tacos. I got sooooo sick after this though I think it was from these tacos they tasted okay-not great, not off either but my stomach said otherwise. My mom got the sushi and they must've had it sitting for a long time because the seaweed was so tough she couldn't chew it and had to unravel each piece. My dad got the eggs Benedict but they never brought hollandaise so he had to ask and they gave it to him cold. We also had the oysters and they weren't the best, I wouldn't recommend getting it. The pro is they have a lovely porch seating that looks over the ocean and that is lovely. Our server was lovely but he clearly was over worked. He was so sweet but we never saw him but sporadically I think he had tables all over the place so it was hard to ask for things. OH THERE WAS A DIRTY BUTTER KNIFE BEHIND US ON THE BANISTER THAT WAS THERE THE WHOLE TIME! My mom accidentally grabbed it as she stood up to go to the bathroom-so gross. Then we moved to the outdoor porch for coffee at the end of the meal and it's like they stopped serving us. First we asked for 1 decaf my mom can't drink regular caf-for medical reasons. Anyways they only brought us two coffees and then target brought the 3rd after asking twice and it was a different dirty glass. Service was all over the place the food wasn't great. Met a group of coworkers here - a total of 9 of us. We were able to get an early reservation including the coveted upstairs table with an incredible view of the ocean. Our server was on top of bringing us all that we needed. We started with an assortment of appetizers- bread pudding, artichokes, trout dip and wings. The bread pudding was by far the best and the artichokes were the least favored by the group. On this visit I opted to try something new and ordered the Malibu chicken sandwich. Delicious if you are craving a sandwich. Also very filling. Beach House is a favorite for the food, location, service and ambiance- especially in that I don't live anywhere near the beautiful ocean.
