I love this place.. it was my first time there; the ambiance is superb; my table was out on a. Balcony setting basically overlooking the beach. The restaurant has two floors, the first floor is inside and the second is outside. They have an elevator if walking the steps is not an option. The pier is walking distance and the pier has free entrance. The strip of the restaurant gave me a nostalgic feel of what miami use to be in the 80:s which is a great feeling. The good things about this restaurant have nothing to do with the restaurant. It has a nice view of the beach and it's open air. The food is bland and what I would expect from a shack on the beach, not a restaurant. The service is slow and the building could use a deep cleaning. It reminds me of an Applebees or TGIFridays (R.I.P.) as far as the upkeep. Boxes stacked in a corner, rusty fixtures, and grimy fans show that the minimum is done to keep this place open. We're completely obsessed with this place! The view was west-coast level good. The breeze off the ocean comes in and the sound of the waves is so relaxing. The food was great! All of the sushi was delicious as were a lot of other things. The kale salad = fresh and delicious, sandwiches- I could recommend them but I have a gluten allergy. They can make several dishes gluten free, but they don't have any gluten free buns or bread. For drinks I suggest the margarita with a tajin rim! We have been here a couple of times and our servers have been fantastic every time. So sweet! Highly recommend this place! read more

The only reason I didn't give this five stars is since you can't make weekend reservations. Having to wait almost two hours to sit outside is not ideal, especially when you can make reservations next door and have a very similar experience. I really did enjoy this place though. Their food is really good. If you can get a table upstairs by the ocean, it's totally worth it. I worked with them on a surprise proposal that was successful so I really appreciated all of the work they put in to make sure we had everything we needed and that it went as planned. I would definitely recommend this place. Pricing is what you expect to pay for a spot on the beach. There's garage and street parking really close and valet if you'd prefer. They also have a ramp that leads to directly on the beach for a stroll after you eat. read more

This is one of our go to spots when we visit Pompano! Absolutely amazing view, the vibe is always on point. The service is great, the male manager working the bar is one of our favorite people! Whether you're there to enjoy good drinks, food, and the view. Or if you're there to watch a sports game, go on a date night, or get together with friends; this is your go to spot! I highly recommend the chicken cordon bleu sandwich - get the sweet potato fries too! You'll be happy you did. All in all, one of our favorite spots! The upstairs bar is, in my opinion, one of the best spots in Pompano. But most importantly, I would give The Beach House 6 stars if only they could invest in a better ice machine. I highly recommend the frozen Mojito. It's very refreshing on a hot day. I highly recommend the food. The crabcakes were a chef special and much larger than I expected. The tacos were good, but nothing too special about them. And the kale salad was huge and great even without chicken on it. The service was a little slow, but we were there at the end of the night. Thankfully we were seated immediately. The service was 10/10. Our server Charlotte B was so kind and patient. The food was amazing. The kids ordered off the kids menu: burger with fries (the portion size was surprisingly large), grilled shrimp with rice and beans (she was not happy with the serving size. Wanted more). For appetizer we had the wings. Though costly for the amount you receive it was probably some of the best wings we've had. The dipping sauces complimented it perfectly. Entrees we had the BRG burger with fries and flank salmon with Parmesan potatoes. I scrapped the mustard off the top because it was a little too salty. Have you ever been to a place that you had passed by a million times...you knew it existed...but out of habit you always went someplace else until a friend said "hey why haven't you gone to this other place", and then you go there and MAN!!!! Amazing!!!! That's the Beach House Pompano. For years we've been going to Oceanic (which is great), and then we finally went here. Oh man...even better views and amazing bar food. Burgers and sliders (get the slider), wings, sea food (get the spicy crab roll), fries and everything else...we've been here a few times now and have been beyond impressed. My communication with the restaurant host/events person, Lauren, was very pleasant. She was very kind about how upstairs dining worked and we were able to sit on the second floor overlooking the ocean. Our server, Vlad, was great. Food was very good. Shrimp and grits were excellent, as was the scallops with dirty rice. The only critique I'd give is that the oysters were not shucked well. The meat was mangled and the oysters weren't cleanly cut from the shell so I had to scrape them a bit to get all of the oyster out. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Additionally, my girlfriend is very gluten sensitive. Vlad, with the help of the chef, did a great job of letting us know which dishes were safe. We will return, and we will definitely recommend. Beach House was a great experience. The view is amazing- you feel like a celebrity dining right next to the window with a tall ocean view. In general I was unimpressed that most of the Florida coastal restaurants use sourmix or bottled lime juice in their margs- our server was nice enough to ask the bartender to make us a fresh one with lime (which we offered to pay extra for as this is not the restaurant standard - and if you ask please be mindful of how busy they are). It was 3pm on a Monday for us. Food was great- *coconut shrimp roll *grilled artichokes - we had to Google how to eat these correctly so I recommend doing that if you've never eaten an artichoke whole. *shrimp tacos (I subbed the mango salsa for the cilantro key lime sauce and it was soooo great- I don't like mango on my savory things). *Naut your average pasta - beware there is a ton of oil but it's expected with this kind of soul warming dish (similar to shrimp scampi) *mahi (catch of the day)- slightly dry *BRG'S FAMOUS CHICKEN & KALE SALAD- my cousin asked to change this to fish and Ceasar dressing because she was just trying to stay within her dietary issues- the server on our first day let her know she was completely changing the salad- didn't appreciate this as it was obvious but we were trying to work with it. Service our first day was a little strange but we learned it may have been because of a slight language barrier and we appreciated all the accommodation for us. Service on the second day was superb. On our second day back we had Tassiah and she was extremely personable and made us feel welcome to stay as long as we needed (our flight got delayed). What a great personality and was very attentive to making sure we were enjoying everything! 5 stars for her. I will definitely come back here when we're back in town as we come several times through the year. I have to give this place 5 stars. Despite the fact I had reservations and they still told me it would be an hour + wait to get a booth upstair. The view alone is worth what you're paying for the meal. We did not get a booth . We did still get a low top with a stunning view. The food was amazing. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable knowing the menu by heart. Just an all around impressive place to go. I will visit this restaurant every time I visit this area. The appetizers were all amazing we went with a variety. The short rib roll was amazing, the blackened mahi mahi sandwich was great. The bacon wrapped scallops were worth the price tag! I walked by the place practically every day, and was really looking forward to eating there. First off, I was very surprised at how limited the menu was. Secondly, my wife ordered a margarita and it was $17. When she ordered a second one, I asked her if it was good, and she said it was ok. I told her well for $17 a pop, you might want to make this your last one here. I ordered the sushi appetizer, and it was ok. I don't even remember what I ate for my entree that's how unforgettable the food was. On the plus side, the view is pretty hard to beat, and our server was excellent. We were expecting it to be super busy considering brunch was ending but we were able to snag a sweet spot at the outside bar overlooking the beach and beach goers. The service is great and drinks are well made, especially their skinny margaritas! We shared the wings, salmon sushi and the club sandwich. All of which came out pretty quickly and all tasted amazing. In hindsight it was a lot of food and we probably could've done without the sushi, but it was a different option to have. The Key Lime Chicken here is so good, I would eat it facing a brick wall. The beauty is that I can eat it while taking in the gorgeous view of the Atlantic Ocean! What an amazing restaurant. Tried out the lucky fish restaurant by here and it didn't feel right, we were treated coldly and the servers weren't the nicest. Decided to come here instead, and we definitely made the right choice. Got seated immediately, overlooking the beach. We ordered and were served quickly, five stars for our waiter, Cooper. The food was very good, the fish was fresh and everything was perfectly cooked. Portions were great, the kids meals are a bit small if you have older kids. Highly recommend if you are around the area, it's a much better choice than others there. read more
