Ordered Togo while staying a block over. And the food was pipping hot when I walked backed. The street corn was beyond flavorful for only $4( such s great price) and the wings flavor were delicious. Cool little place serving really good, familiar seafood. We've enjoyed everything we've had here, particularly the BBQ Bacon Wrapped Scallops and the Mexican Street Corn. However I can't recommend the Crab & Corn Chowder because it's actually Krab (with a K) - the fake stuff. Why. Just...why. Why great seafood restaurants who are doing every else so well resort to using fake crab, I'll never understand. Even more offensive is when the menu refers to it as "lump crab". C'mon, man. I've never ordered the crab cakes so I don't know if they are real crab or not -- but you might want to ask before ordering if Krab (with a K) isn't your thing. The wait staff has always been fantastic and we are always made to feel welcome. On our three visits we've always sat in the small dining space in the front due to the heat. The bar in back looks great and we'll definitely give it a try when cooler weather prevails. This place is in my collection of local favs and is definitely worth checking out! read more

The waitress was very frazzled, we were in no rush and stayed so yo her, but she kept coming by and complaining to us about how busy they are and that's why she will be with us in a while.. in the 3 times she did that she could have easily taken drink or apps orders. When the food came out, it was hit and miss. The steamed shrimp was great, nachos - good, fish dip - just ok, crab cakes were decent and kids liked the grouper tacos, but two orders of scallops were over-cooked to death, inedible rubber! We still paid in full, and mentioned the quality issue after, because in all honesty we did not think it was worth to reorder.. First of all, food was amazing and they were very accommodating for not having reservations. It was both my moms' birthdays and not only did they make it special they made it memorable. First of all the appetizers were amazing. The entrees were not long after and were exactly what we expected. But what they did next for my 2 mom's birthdays were unforgettable. They started off with a free comp dessert with sparklers and silly spray. My dad and his husband were so supportive throughout all of it. We were looking for a place to eat after spending the afternoon at the beach and decided to try this place. We started with a cup of their jambalaya, which tasted amazing but was lukewarm. We loved the jambalaya so much we actually went back the next day just to order a bowl lol. I had the shrimp tacos with a side of their Mexican street corn. The Mexican street corn was a bit bland. The shrimp tacos were pretty good, not the best I've had, but they were good. My sister-in-law ordered the crab cakes. She said they were very good and had a lot of crab. Overall, everyone was happy with their meal, but the jambalaya stole the show. read more

Always tasty food and great service. Mostly beer and wine with a few canned cocktails, if that's your thing. Casual ambiance, come as you are kind of place. It is smaller and doesn't take reservations, so don't show up with a dozen friends. But great for date night or the family, can accommodate 4-6 people pretty easily. read more

We were staying at a condo near by for 2 weeks and one of the staff recommended we walk over to Beach Waves. What a great spot! Has an awesome casual vibe with terrific food. It is small so be patient or order to go. The staff are really fun and welcoming. We ate and drank here multiple times just because of the good feels. Prices are awesome. I thought the $2 beer sign was a joke but nope. So some of the items we tried over our stay included the grilled scallops, crab chowder, peel & eat shrimp, lots of raw oysters, grilled grouper tacos, grouper sandwich, stone claws, crab cakes, fried ice cream. We went here on a Sunday night and we were able to be seen pretty quick. Family friendly environment. We sat outside and the ambiance was great, good music and great staff on top of it. You can never go wrong with $2 beer! I was able to get the Mahi Mahi Sandwich and that was plenty alongside some tasty fries. Linda also recommended some tasty peanut butter pie to top the night with. We would gladly stop by here again when in the area. read more

My wife and I stopped in Beach Waves Grill on 2 different occasions. The seafood chowder was excellent. I had it on each of our two visits. I had the Caesar salad with chicken which was very good. We both had the grouper sandwich which comes either grilled, fried or blackened. Superb. Fries were crunchy. I like them like that. They have an array of beers and liquor. Packed with people both times we were there. Parking in two areas although we walked up. Key lime pie was excellent. This place is as it's name says a beach grille. Parking is shared with several other businesses and it's also available to people who are going to the beach, so it was difficult to find an open space. We actually looked for a space, couldn't find one and left to find somewhere else to eat. We had to make a u-turn and come back past the restaurant and a spot happened to open up, so we took it. There is an outdoor seating area by the bar with a view of the street and indoor seating as well. We chose to sit outside. The service was good and the price was in line with similar restaurants in the area. This won't be my first pick the next time I'm in the area because of the lack of parking. read more

We came in pretty late on a Sunday to grab a bite and the place was still pretty full. We got sat at a table that looked directly into the kitchen, which was super awkward since there were constantly people in the window being typical back of the house guys and servers come up to it getting food and having conversations. I'm ok with people having their own conversations in the back, but it was louder than my conversation at the table it felt like. Aside from that, we got the crab cake appetizer and split some mahi mahi tacos. I was a little surprised to have gotten just a single crab cake with the appetizer. I mean I guess it doesn't say two crab cakes, but for the price and just my experience with other places, I was expecting two. The crab cake itself was fine. Didn't taste bad by any means but also nothing mind blowing. The mahi mahi tacos were also just fine. The fish was a little dry and little tougher than good mahi. But outside of that service was nice and the place was decorated nicely. All in all it was fine. I wouldn't be opposed to stopping by again if in the area and needing a quick bite to eat, but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way either. read more

Not terrible, not exemplary, just a spot. We were in FL for a few days, and it was unseasonably cold (40s-50s). We were walked through the restaurant and sat outside. There was a heater on the patio, only felt if you were sitting on a certain side of the bar. The sides of the patio were open, and it was extremely unpleasant to be seated out there. There weren't any tables available inside (small area). We called before we came and were assured that there was no wait and plenty of open tables, didn't think to ask if they were inside. Anywho, dinner was good. Jambalaya was mildly spicy which was exactly how it was described. We shared a few other things, and everyone else enjoyed what they got (hush puppies, shrimp, chowder). I think these are the best shrimp tacos in the area. The shrimp comes grilled but you can add Cajun if you want some spice, which I did, and they were super flavorful and perfectly spicy. Found this place driving by because my family ways goes to the French Bakery every year when we come to Florida. At first we didn't pay to much attention to it cause from the outside it looked like everyone other bar and grill. But man I was so glad to be wrong. We went in and was greeted by friendly staff and didn't have to wait that long to be seated. The appetizers were fantastic; my families favorite was the Fried Shrimp with Sweet Tai sauce and the Fried Calamari but over all we thought all the appetizers were great! The entrees and sandwiches were awesome! I ordered the Grouper Philly sandwich with beer and was just floored with how good it was. My mother ordered the Grouper Taco that was also really good! So good in fact that stayed for dessert and ordered the Fried Ice-cream which left my family with the best experience we could of ever had. We will defiantly be coming back to this place! My friends & I came in for a late snack and sat with Laura. She was so wonderful and helped recommend us things to do in the area. We shared the Grouper Cheeks and Buffalo Shrimp. The cheeks were so tender & the sauce was great. I personally prefer my shrimp to come without the tails but they were very tasty. We had frozen margaritas to drink that were good. We went to this place for dinner as well as ordered takeout twice to bring to the beach. Dinner was great. Even our pickiest eater finished their entire meal. Our waitress was wonderful and on top of things. I don't think we've had that attentive service in a very long time. Our only gripe is it's hot in there with no a/c. They leave the windows open but there is no Fan or cross breeze. A frozen margarita or cold beverage can help with that but it still can be a bit stuffy. The location is a block from the beach. It's a small place with big taste and the atmosphere is very transcendence to the point where a minute can pass by and next thing you know you have been drinking sunset margaritas and 2 hours have passed. Not sure of her name but there is a younger blonde who is very knowledgeable and attentive about your experience here. All in all this place is a great vibe and the outside seating area is a must!
