The caramel lavender latte is the only thing to write home about here. It's smooth and yummy. The breakfast potatoes were absolutely inedible. They were clearly premade and reheated and tasted stale and days old. One bite, literally, and they went in the garbage. The most ridiculous part of this coffee shop is they charge $1.25 for a milk alternative!!! ONE DOLLAR AND TWENTY FIVE CENTS!!! Non-dairy milk is a pretty standard order these days. I understand maybe a 50cent upgrade but this up-charge is egregious and taking advantage of the situation. read more

There's a small lil street on the side where you can park or where I parked was behind the place but it said private parking so don't know if your suppose to be there. The place is really cool and spacious, lots of seating outside and inside and you can see the ocean from there. The workers seems rushed, at the register I was ordering and she told my cost like if I was done ordering. Then I wanted to ask the girl that brought me burrito a question, as I was asking she walked away. I had gotten then HOT HORCHATA LATTE W/ OAT MILK, A BREAKFAST BURRITO, and on side a CHOCOLATE CINNAMON TWIST CROISSANT. The coffee didn't really have an horchata flavor just tasted like a regular latte, thankfully they had cinnamon powder where you can add on by yourself. Still a good coffee tho. I came here for coffee the first morning after having to evacuate from the LA Fires. Not only was the coffee delicious but customer service was above and beyond. I was so touched and appreciative that they cared enough to put up a shelf for fire evacuees to help themselves (hats, t-shirts, coffee). Love the atmosphere of this coffee shop! It's great for studying/work as there are many sitting areas and tables. The coffee is great and I absolutely love that they serve it in a mug. The staff is also super kind and accommodating. It's clean, modern, and aesthetically pleasing which simply motivates me to work more. My only negative was that the wifi wasn't working so I had to use my hot spot.. but maybe this is a one off situation, because they do have wifi. Anyways, I'll just have to try again. We spent our anniversary in Laguna and went here this morning. The atmosphere is very "remote working" people. Not enough seating for people who would want to sit to drink a coffee/eat a pastry. Just pack with people on their laptops. We ordered an iced Horchata Latte and a Lavender Caramel Latte. They had zero flavor. No exaggerating, my husband said he's had better iced coffee at Jack in the Box. He then threw it in the nearest trash can along with mine. We're not ones to waste money. But we did on this place. Total disappointment. If you want to taste the coffee you order, head over to the Heidelberg. We walked straight over there for our coffee. Ran into some locals we know who recommended Bear Coast. I was on a daytrip in Laguna all the way from San Diego and spent the entire day chasing bathrooms due to what I can only assume was expired half & half that I used in my Americano. I was sick about an hour after consuming. My drink tasted fine at the time but I was horribly ill the rest of the day and struggled to make it home. Please make sure you dump the half & half at the end of the day and refresh it when it's 80 degrees out. Assuming the heat got to it or it was put back in a cooler after getting warm. I was recently watching an Hrhcollection video and she said the iced matcha with almond milk is disgusting and should be illegal, so me and my friend wanted to come try it out while we were in the area. We of course got the iced matcha with almond but we also got a few more drinks. Overall I liked all of them especially the lavender Carmel latte. The matcha was good but just keep in mind it is unsweetened so if you're into sweetened matcha definitely ask for vanilla in the latte. The only drink I wasn't a big fan of was the horchata latte, it didn't really have any flavor imo just tasted like a plain iced latte. The pastries looked really delicious but I didn't get to try them :( but I definitely will when I return. Particularly on gloomy days. I get decaf coffee just for the taste and I liked their horchata latte. My favorite thing is their blueberry muffin. It might be the best I've had in California. Had an iced oat milk flat white with vanilla, and it was insanely strong and bitter. They offered to add in more syrup to make it sweeter, but it just made it taste worse. My boyfriend got an iced mocha with oat milk, and his drink was very bitter and overpowering. Their dark chocolate mocha is too strong and not well balanced at all. The barista offered to remake my drink , while my boyfriend just added Splenda into his drink to make his drink sweeter. His turned out okay, nothing special. But even my remade drink did not taste appetizing. We were so excited to try this new place, but it fell flat for sure. Bear Coast Coffee just did not do it for us. I've gone to their other locations before and they were good in the past... but I will not be back to this location or any of their other locations again. read more

Great Coffee here on the beach. We stopped here yesterday for some coffee and it was delicious. I got myself a regular coffee with cream and everything in it. My second or 3rd time here , and I love it. Parking can be a challenge coming here, so you really have to try and get here at a certain time. Nice staff, and good people . This was my first visit, and I found the location charming and modern. The coffee was served in cute mugs, and I ordered my usual vanilla chai latte with oat milk. Unfortunately, it was the worst I've ever had, tasting like perfume. I mentioned this to the barista, who suggested the issue might be the chai concentrate. She kindly steamed more milk to help dilute the taste, but it didn't improve. I can't recommend this particular drink, as it gave me an instant migraine. We came to your place this morning for a latte and upon learning you only offer a 12pz to go coffee, we left to go to the place we were avoiding (Laguna Coffee) in the hopes of replacing our morning latte fix with your coffee since we heard it was good and Laguna coffee is a little further from us and very $$, but with no larger size we left to go to laguna coffee which was PACKED!!
