    Iced Horchata Latte
    Yoandra V.

I walked into this beautiful coffee shop within walking distance to the ocean. It was surprisingly spacious with lots of seating and a couple outlets. Additionally, they have merch, pastries and fresh roasted coffee bags ready to purchase. But in this occasion, I needed to sober up. So I got the horchata latte. The girl at the counter was really sweet and ensured I got my iced latte in a timely manner. It was really good. It was subtle, not too sweet with the perfect amount of syrup and cinnamon. I would get this again the next time I am in the area.

Stopped in for an iced latte and our friends got the featured drink which I think had cardamom in it and we all enjoyed our drinks. The order and pickup counter is so relaxing with some beautiful plants and big windows that let in ample natural light. There's also some seating area indoors but it was so beautiful outside we all got our drinks to go so we could walk along the beach. Would recommend for the friendly and knowledgeable baristas and quality coffee.

Great location and very clean and organized inside. The cashier was kind and helpful as it was our first time here. Unfortunately the coffee just was not good... I got the orange cardamom coffee and my boyfriend got a hazelnut drink. They both tasted the exact same and had no flavor. I understand they were lattes but they had zero coffee flavor at all and only tasted like straight milk. We ended up just getting new coffees down the street.

Met my friend here and was warmly greeted by the staff. The vibe & layout inside was inviting and spacious with outside seating available (with a great view of the ocean). We both got a caramel latte and it was made so good! My friend also ordered a parfait and we inhaled it, it was so good. The wait wasn't very long and they even brought our drinks out to us (we sat outside). Definitely plan on coming back here!

Ok so location is amazing love a cute little Laguna Beach Coffee shop. First time I came here I got their seasonal orange latte (back in April) and tbh not bad i enjoyed it. My bf got a latte with their house made almond milk at the time and it looked like the milk went bad and tasted horrible (picture below). You know what things happen it was just 1 latte so i kind of ignored it and went back a couple days ago. Got their vanilla latte and dirty chai with whole milk cause their almond milk now scares me. My vanilla latte tasted like a cup of milk that they poured next to an espresso shot (i'm talking the la croix of coffees here) and the dirty chai was watered down?? but also too spicy at the same time (this is coming from someone who has grown up drinking Indian chai so spices don't scare me but this one was weird). Now to food: We got their egg sandwich and u know what not bad probably the only redeeming quality of this place so far. Solid 7.5/10 I think, like nothing special but a good sandwich. We also got their breakfast burrito and that falls among the same lines, nothing special but not bad either and it came with a green sauce that was pretty good. tldr: don't be fooled by the vibes and expect a good cup of coffee, maybe stop by for the food though if u want

Was a nice pit stop for us as we did a family drive up the PCH from Dana Point to Newport and back down. I got the matcha, husband got drip coffee and he said it's decent. Will make it a regular stop while exploring all the shops and restaurants up and down the coast. Can't wait to come back and hang a little longer, and enjoy the ocean views from the cafe. p.s. when I clicked follow on IG, I noticed a post from the owner that he once lived in LA, and was doing all he can to help those affected by the fires. Was very heartening to see, and made me all the more willing to support this business.

This was such a cute Coffee place with some great options for breakfast and a variety of pastries. The inside had plenty of seating and cute books and bear decor. Super aesthetic, the prices are fair and the staff were welcoming and friendly. We came here on a busy Saturday morning we didn't wait long for our food. Will definitely be back soon on vacation. This is a great spot right before heading to the beach

Came into Bear Coast Coffee and it was so cute! It was decorated for Christmas and I loved it! So much seating indoors and very cozy! I got the lemongrass chamomile iced tea and it was perfect without sugar! The Cold Brew tasted light! I got avocado toast added and egg and the oatmeal! Everything was super yummy and let me tell you price wise it was great! Service was great as well! They were busy when we went but got everything really quickly! The hey even brought us our food!

Cute beach-front coffee shop! Stopped by for a coffee and the wait was quick. No breakfast burritos after 12 & the coffee was a bit sweet for my taste. But nice strong coffee, if you're not a fan of overly sweet drinks ask for less syrup or an add shot! Lavender caramel was my favorite!

Hot matcha didn't take the picture before serving size is fair!

One of my favorite coffee shops right next to the beach and a good spot to work at. The service is excellent and they're friendly and prompt. It's chill during the week a little busier but more a a good vibe. Food is tasty and reasonably price! Go to spot in Laguna and it's dog friendly!

    Kid friendly!

Bear Coast has great coffee. Their lattes are really good quality and we also like their cold brew with cold foam. This location has an ocean view and you can grab your drink and walk right down to the water or walk around the shops in Laguna. Only downside is the parking is limited and can be really tough at times. Also, don't miss it as you're driving - they only have a sign that says "Beverages" outside!

vanilla latte, horchata latte, pistachio croissant and fete and egg sandwich

my friend ordered the vanilla latte with their house made almond milk and she would rated it a 2/10. I ordered the horchata latte with their Housemade almond milk and it was disgusting. It was extremely sour! 0/10 However, I ordered the pistachio croissant and she ordered the egg and feta sandwich, both were amazing! what's disappointing is that our coffees were about $8 each! in conclusion, I wouldn't recommend this place for coffee at all and I won't be coming back.

Great staff and cool vibe. Lots like the Pacific Northwest. Go inside and enjoy the ambiance. Coffee is the best and 1/2 the cost of Starbucks. Please support our. Laguna Beaches Bear Coast Coffee. Enjoy the ocean view !

To put it simply: this is the kind of place Laguna has been missing. From the moment we walked in, the energy felt dialed-in in a way that immediately reminded me of a Hillstone experience -- polished but not pretentious, lively but still intimate. That balance is incredibly hard to execute, and Nix nails it. For context, I'm part owner of 230 Forest Avenue, so I don't say this lightly: Nix easily lands in my top five in Laguna Beach. We started with Aperol spritzes (perfectly balanced, not overly sweet), along with a couple of appetizers -- including a fried asparagus dish that was addictive in the best way. Crisp, flavorful, and gone way too quickly. For mains, I ordered the veggie burger, which was genuinely one of the best I've had -- hearty, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully constructed (not an afterthought, which vegetarian options so often are). My boyfriend had the noodle salad, which was fresh, vibrant, and layered with flavor. But beyond the food, what really stood out was the overall experience. The atmosphere feels intentional , great music, beautiful crowd, and a buzz that makes you want to linger. It's the kind of place where dinner effortlessly turns into drinks, and drinks turn into "should we just stay a little longer?" Laguna Beach doesn't have a ton of restaurants that hit this level across the board -- food, service, ambiance, and energy, but Nix absolutely does. We'll be back, and soon.

Then came the artichoke appetizer and the soup of the day... and honestly, I could've stopped there and been happy. But we powered through like professionals and went for a late lunch entrée, the Chilean sea bass- and WOW. Worth every bite. And shoutout to our server and the entire staff, total pros. Super polished, attentive, and clearly know what they're doing without being over the top. If you're looking for amazing food with a cool, laid-back vibe, Nick's is your spot. The food was all so delicious. For appetizers we ordered the White Mexican Shrimp & Chilean Sea Bass Ceviche, the Rosemary Focaccia Bread, and a cup of their Seafood Chowder. The Ceviche was fresh and packed with flavor. The Focaccia was so fluffy and was served with a delicious whipped honey butter. For my entree I ordered the Short Rib Pappardelle. The chunk of short rib was massive and the creme fraise really tied all the elements of the dish together. My friends ordered the Wild Caught Chilean Sea Bass and American Wagyu Beef Burger. The items that stood out the most were the lobster bisque. the Parkhouse rolls, the Seabass, the scallops and the Hamachi tuna. I was taken back that the octopus was fried and it was tough and had an interesting flavor. I'm used to octopus legs being grilled and tender, so I was quite disappointed with that. We also ordered a couple of cocktails that we weren't thrilled about. The flavors didn't work well together in the drink, but I did like how the glasses were ice cold I just wish the cocktails were more impressive. I feel like that's the gift and the curse. When you have a restaurant that is oceanfront. Typically oceanfront restaurants their food isn't that great because it doesn't have to be because of the ambience. The only place I've ever been where they had the oceanfront location and the food was amazing was Nobu Malibu specifically.
