Don't buy a used car from here! Not only did they try to sell me a car that was unsafe (a seat belt wasn't working properly) but service of the cars is terrible as well as their customer service. I had an issue with the steering, that they told me they had fixed, that caused me to almost have an accident because it wasn't. The rep I spoke to when I called in to tell them was rude about it! Claims transparency until they bait you with a trade in value and then switch it overnight! We went here because of their supposed "no hassle/haggle" policy and we wound up spending almost an hour going back and forth to try to figure out how much they were going to give us for a trade in. We had done a great deal of research and found a great little Rav 4 on their lot. We were going to trade in our 2004 VW Passat with around 90k miles and buy their $20k plus vehicle. We went in and waited 20 minutes after the initial 30 for the appraisal just for them to say they would offer us $500. No problem except we owe $1400 and the value of the car is higher than that. The guy leaves and returns with a paper that has the breakdown of the price and then asks us what he has to do to close the deal tonight. We told him that if we could have the $1400 to pay off the car, we would do it. 20 more minutes later he comes back and says we will give you $1000 if you buy it now. Being super excited and yet having to leave because it was time for us to pick up our daughter, we told the sales guy that we would call him in the morning. At 10pm, he sends my wife an email with a $2k drop in price if we want it. My wife replies that we would take it if the trade in was still at the $1k value. He and she spoke and he told her the managers would not honor that offer now that the price had dropped. The manager then sent an email telling us he was the manager and to call him if we needed anything. I called and wound up speaking with another manager named Josh since the other manager wasn't even in the office. This guy was a piece of work because he just kept stuck on the fact that I was still getting a better deal even though they baited us with a $1000.00 trade in and then switched it to $500. I then asked him if their prices were based on my trade in and he said that they made a "package price" and it was based on the amount they were giving me on my trade in. I told him that this was ridiculous since their price drop had nothing to do with my car's value. Instead of saying anything like, "I'm sorry this is the best we can do" he went on to state that since I had nothing in writing that we were offered $1000, it never happened. At this point, I basically lost my mind. This guy was telling my wife and I that we were lying that there was no written evidence of what transpired so it wasn't even true that we were offered $1k for our car. Not only is this a ridiculous way to treat a potential customer who is prepared to buy a vehicle from you, it is absolutely fraud! Any company who says the price is not negotiable and then says they make their deals based on what they are offering you for your car is absolutely not transparent and is tricking you. But to have their manager try to actually try to make you into a liar speaks volumes of this company. I asked him to get the sales guy on a conference call and he said he didn't have that capability. Then I asked him to physically go and ask him and he refused. I have an email stating we would be interested if the deal was STILL $1000 for our trade in, but Josh, the supposed manager tried to twist that into some grand scheme we had to get an extra $500 out of their dealership. In the end, we went to CARMAX and we received $1700 for our trade in. Way to go Beaverton Kia, you win the award for stereotypical unscrupulous dealership of the year! And to respond to the business regarding the so called better deal: Yes the deal was better the next day because the price of the Rav-4 dropped by $2k. So to show you the real breakdowns: We were offered 20,000-1,400 for your offer on our car, and the price of your car dropped to 18,000 -1,400 we were offered so it should have been $16,600. That is a much better deal, not the bait and switch of offering me 66% less for my car the next day because the price of your car dropped 10%. And I wasn't financing. It's simple math and your email attempt to get me to come back in so I can change my review is a moot point too. I read more

They don't want to sell a car to you, although I was clear I need to get a car in the next a few days and my intention was real. Customer service 2 out 5. I take my car here because it's where I bought it and frankly the people at the Kia dealership in NE Portland seem like crooks. But the last time I was here for an oil change, it took them 2hrs to do it and they didn't attach a hose very well, so as I drove away the oil came spewing out onto the street. They had to push it back up into the garage and it took them another hour to fill it back up with oil and fix the hose. Today, I had an appointment for an oil change at noon and the guy who checked me in and took my keys informed me that they have a staff meeting from 12-1 and my car won't be done for at least a couple hours. I don't think I will be coming back. I don't trust the work they do and they always take forever to do it. The only reason they got two stars instead of one is because they're reasonably polite while taking forever to do shoddy work. read more

Our experience with this dealership was severely disappointing. We brought our Sedona in due to a check oil and a check engine light. They charged us $200 for the diagnostic, which took 6 hours, even with an appointment. (I later discovered that the check engine light diagnosis would have been free at any auto parts store.) They said that it would cost $6000 to $6500 to fix these issues, plus suggested a few unrelated items, all totaling over $9000. We requested a report to actually show what the problem was, but they have still not delivered this. I finally solved the problems by figuring out that all the problems were related to a faulty oil filter. Problem solved for $14. Save your money and frustration and see competent mechanics. read more

I had a relatively quick visit to this dealership while considering whether a Kia Optima would work for me instead of a Toyota Camry. While I ultimately decided to go with the Camry, I found the sales guy I spoke with, Matt, who goes by 'Hoss', to be super friendly, informative, and if I had found I wanted an Optima or something else Kia, I would trust him to be the guy to buy it from. I also chatted with their finance guy, whose name I forgot, and found him to be clear and at least seemingly transparent. For comparison's sake, I did speak with a handful of salespeople from different Toyota dealers (many only over the phone) -- while I knew I wanted the Camry, a lot of their salespeople were generally not working with me properly and seemed to want to steer me to something else, and had a persistent need to be the ones asking all the questions. I did ultimately find the right Toyota dealership to buy the product I wanted from, however. And similarly, if I was buying an Optima, I'm confident that these guys would be a great place to pick it up from. Obviously, I didn't buy a car from Kia Beaverton, since they were selling the the alternative product to what I ended up deciding on, but I definitely recommend this place. If you go there and find you have a salesperson you don't like, find out if you can work with Matt aka 'Hoss'. If he's not around, ask for a different salesperson. I just bought a new 2013 KIA Sorento AWD from Beaverton Kia with the GDI 4 cylinder engine. Great car! Read Consumer Reports about them. I had put up on a price request online using Cargurus and they were the first responders with an actual great internet price. Others like Weston Kia wanted to know a bunch about me and my life before prices quoted. Dumb when I tell them I'm paying cash and want this car. They just want to upsale me into something I didn't want. Not Beaverton Kia. I did finance this car because I got an additional $1500 dollars off the price which was below MSRP by doing so! I'll pay off later and save a bunch. This was also offered to me to save money on this purchase. My rebates were over $2000 when complete. The salesman (Eric Van Huss) wasn't pushy at all but let the car sell itself. He's a compliment to salesmen in the auto business. He even showed us other cars at lesser prices to see if they fit my budget better. Never before now has that happened. This is how it's suppose to be. My trade in price here was a $1,000 better than another local Kia dealer gave my adult daughter and son-in-law for an identical trade-in she owned . Nice! They also have fresh baked cookies and coffee for you while you wait for the paperwork to be draw up. Why not indulge once in awhile. I woke up today without buyers remorse. New to me. I recommend Internet sales with Beaverton Kia and would buy again from them. read more

Last week, I came to Beaverton Kia to determine if I could upgrade my 2013 Kia Soul to a 2016 Soul and still achieve the same monthly payment as before. I knew it was a lot to ask, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I met with Allen and he was completely accommodating the entire time. He listened to all my concerns and continually went back to his sales manager to try to find more savings for me. I am a young woman who works in accounting and finance for a living, so I had a lot of questions and asked to see the details of each offer they made me. I know I was a more difficult client than they are probably used to, but they never made me feel bad for asking questions or asking them to re-run the numbers using different scenarios. I felt like we were all working together as opposed to feeling like I was working against the sales team, which was such a pleasant change from my previous buying experience at other dealerships. In the end, Allen and the sales managers were able to get me a brand new 2016 Soul for $2 less per month than I was paying on my previous car which was an incredible deal. I am so grateful for everyone at Beaverton Kia and I can't say enough good things about the experience. As a finance person, I'm always skeptical of salespeople of any type, but the folks at Beaverton Kia were completely transparent, listened to my concerns, and treated me with respect throughout the process. Seriously, if you want a smooth buying experience, come here and ask for Allen! I have recently tried to make a new vehicle purchase and wanted to stay with the same make and model, just a new one... I was told I didn't manage to clear scrutiny of all their finance companies.....I understand that and was fine, after all I am on federal disability and a veteran, so I don't have a flexible income.. I was turned down and so OK, I am good, I will just finish paying off my previous auto loan, which is just under 6K, no problem.... Them yesterday I get a call from the sales person that tried to help me, "Hey the General Manager is bending over backwards and is going to pull out all the stops and get you in a new car". All I needed to do was to print out 4 months of my bank statements. I thought, Really, Cool!!!... I took about an hour and struggled with my bank and their software issues with Pop-ups. I got everything printed out and went in last night. I went for a test ride with another sales person, because my previous one was busy.. We were done with test ride back at Dealership and he walks over and says he is terribly sorry I was lied to......He didn't know how this happened and told me not to be mad...I'm not mad, I am a little embarrassed, because I kept asking him what has changed in a week? Just bought a pre-owned Soul from BK - Joel Banks was my sales person and he did a great job. I drove the car on Saturday, no pressure to buy it, he called me Saturday afternoon, I made an offer, they countered with an acceptable price, went in Sunday, drove the car one more time, from start to finish about an hour. Outstanding! Joel is the guy that responds when you send in an internet inquiry. Some advice for folks buying their first car, never walk on a lot blind, know everything about the car you are buying. I did about a month of research on options, standard equipment and pricing. Have a contact before you get to the lot - I always recommend the internet manager as they are usually the most laid back. Not many places put prices on preowned cars sitting on the lot - the dealer website has all that - i knew the price of every car on that lot (incase I found something I liked better) and if I didn't I had their website on my phone so I could refer to it. read more

Allan was great! He helped me find the vehicle I was looking! I was purchasing this vehicle for our business and once the Sales Manager Jonathan found out it was a commercial sale, he took over. Worst experience ever. Because our business hadn't been around long enough, the bank required a "co-borrower." The information given was incorrect, so I tried to contact Jonathan to correct it and he never return my called. I had to call every time to keep in communication about the process (it was started on a Friday and lasted till today, Tuesday) well after I called and got ahold of Kias Finance manager and had her help me, she advised me that the vehicle I was trying to purchase had been sold on Saturday. So not only was there no communication, they pulled my credit for my business and personal for no reason because they sold the car I was trying to purchase. I will never go back to Kia again. I referred my brother and his girlfriend to this Kia dealership and just a few days after I purchased my 2011 Kia Forte, they went in and purchased a 2007 Kia Spectra with the same amazing assistance. I also returned a couple days after getting my car to have the USB port checked. The service worker informed me that it required the manufacture cord that ran about $50. After getting his feedback, I was about to leave and be ran out with an extra cord that he had and insisted that I took that one. My wife and I bought a certified pre-owned 2013 Lancer from Beaverton KIA a two weeks ago and at first were fairly satisfied. Then we went for a road trip from Portland, OR to Sacramento, CA with some friends, for a special Convention, which we had planned for months. We got a few hours away from home and an indicator turned on saying "slow down" with a temperature gauge symbol. We took it to the nearest certified mechanic and they told us the transmission was 215°F when the highest rated temperature for that vehicle should only be 165°F and thus was unsafe to drive. We called Beaverton KIA at that point and told them the dilemma we had and that we weren't comfortable driving it anywhere. At that point the service Manager that I talked to didn't think it was something they needed to take care of so we paid for a rental car out of pocket and when we got back in town and called the General Manager and he agreed to pay for our rental car and mechanic diagnostic bill as well as taking care of the needed repairs and getting us a car to drive around while they worked on our car. The General Manager was very reasonable and understanding. Because of how he treated the situation, I am very satisfied with the outcome and would recommend Beaverton KIA to any potential new or used car buyer. read more

I am quite surprised to read the poor reviews. I had a totally different experience. I was looking for a car for my daughter, we worked w Jacob, his first day on the job. He was respectful, we both liked Jacobsen and his personality and honest attitude sold us the car. The initial involvement w financing w Karen was a little frustrating, started us out presenting a 6.9% interest rate when I have a 823 credit store. No way, would this fly. After negotiations she got me a 2.4% intersect w me co-signing w my daughter.Not pushy @ all. The only part I found disturbing and still do is they didn't negotiate the price of the car but $78 . Telling me and showing me in writing they only made$158 on the car. Come on manager, can't recall his name Al Pacino , I may be a female but NO way do I believe you didn't make 2-3k$ on this car! But that's ok, my kid is happy and loves her car w only 12 k miles on it!! Money can't buy happiness! Let's do change up these service reviews though. We bought a certified Kia Soul and my kid better not have to spend a time for about 5 years ! Hands down beat the Kia on Broadway, I will never go there again! read more
