Beeps is good. It's been around for-ever. It's a small shop that makes regular "quick" cafe foods like breakfast plates and burritos and stuff. The burgers are decent. It's just hard to put them up against other places. It tastes more like a backyard burger than a restaurant, if that makes any sense. Service is good, but very slow to get your food. I was here today 8/27/25. Food good as usual, service very good. But, unfortunately I visited the ladies restroom and I was really disgusted by the lack of care in there. No toilet paper in neither stalls, toilet paper on the floors all over inside the stalls, the sinks dirty. Before leaving I went to the cashier and told him how urgently the restroom needed care, he only looked at me and didn't say a single word. He obviously was not expecting my comment, I felt kind of bad but I had to since most if not every customer was hispanic. A hidden gem here in the van nuys area. I usually order the grilled chicken sandwich, steak &cheese sandwich , burgers and you have to get the mozzarella sticks and fries. Depending on the time you come it does get busy and their parking lot isn't big so at times you will need to park on the street. When it's busy your wait time for food is 15-20 mins which isn't bad , call in your order if you're in a hurry. but when it's slow, you do get your food within 10 minutes. Let's start with the parking, extremely small parking lot, I'd say 7 small spots with not very close street parking. Covered Seating on the outside and inside had 6 booths and two small tables in the middle. So it is very cramped. You order at the counter first with the menu being on top with the smallest font ever. Customer service is very nice with it being a Sunday morning. Their system is old and old school so it is slow to pay. They warn you that there is going to be a 30min wait for food which is understandable considering it was busy. Drinks come out, mocha cappuccino is from those premade machines, large quantity but ofc taste is not the best. Mango strawberry smooth tasted like sink water, pure sink water so that was a no. Food: biscuits and gravy, yummy bread and sauce was mid had to add extra salt and pepper. Turkey sausage breakfast sandwich was good but ofc falling apart with nothing special about it. Tutufruity French toast was the best part. It was very good. Everything was something we could make at home but I get it it's a diner, but there's no uniqueness to it. Beeps is one of our classic LA diner establishments that has been around since 1956. They have another newer location in Simi. This place seems constantly busy with cars also parked out front the small diner with outdoor seating (and no restrooms). If you need to go, you'll probably have to walk across the street to Vallarta. The service at the front counter was very friendly and the burrito was dropped promptly and still hot. The burrito is quite large, larger than the breakfast burrito I regularly get at Corner Cottage. Is this a good substitute for Corner Cottage? Probably not. The Corner Cottage burrito has more flavor and better salsa. I ended up pouring Tapatio with every bite because it was a little bland. If you live or work in the area, this is a good neighborhood spot to visit and support. I feel their prices are a good value and there is Tapatio and salt/pepper at your table if you need to add more flavor. Definitely support our classic establishments especially if you live close by because they are a dying breed. Warning: Fraudulent Tips Added on Online Orders I've been a loyal customer for years, often ordering the "Big Meat Breakfast" or the breakfast burrito. The food has always been solid; large portions and generally good service. I've never had a complaint, until now. I normally order in person or by phone. Today, I placed an online order and declined to add a tip via the web service, as I usually tip in cash when I pick up. However, after receiving the email confirmation, I noticed a tip (not to be confused with a credit card fee) was added without my consent AFTER I HAD PLACED THE ORDER. It stated (verbatim) the fraudulent tip amount, which was 18% of the total amount. I also confirmed this against the screenshot I took, which clearly showed no tip AT THE MOMENT I placed the order. When I arrived, the printed receipt stapled to the white bag containing my order looked suspicious, showing an incorrect spelling of my name and no transaction total. I NEVER MISSPELL MY OWN NAME, which is an uncommon name. I always double check everything before submitting anything online with my name on it. Please note: one employee appeared to be editing online orders on their system (guy with tattoos on both forearms). I kept observing him once I picked up my order. Who can misspell my name? Not me! Also, when I asked for my FULL receipt, he provided evasive answers; but no paper receipt with the total that would have shown the amount, plus tax, plus fraudulent tip. This is outright theft; manually adding fraudulent tips to customers' credit card charges after placing an order online. The only reason I caught it was because I monitor my credit card transactions closely via text notifications. That's where I initially saw the discrepancy (in the total), which was also confirmed by the aforementioned e-mail. Most people probably wouldn't notice. I wonder, if he did this to me, how many people does he do it to in a day/weekly when they pay via credit card, especially online? This is immoral and CRIMINAL! I hope the owner becomes aware of this, the Better Business Bureau, and other customers. A dishonest employee is stealing from your customers, engaging in criminal behavior, and he's ruining the reputation of a good mom and pop restaurant. read more

It's a local Gem! Coming here for years. I like the new subtle update of the restaurant. It tells me that owners are always updating with time while keeping the old charm of the place. Food is always very tasty. When I want my greasy fix I come here. They also have salads and other healthy options. They make the best tuna melt with cheese, grilled onions, and tomato. Yesterday was my first time at Beeps. Crossed another Valley staple off my fatass "foodie" bucket list. Ordered The Big Beeper double cheeseburger, large fries and a large cherry coke. The burger was big but bland. Something was missing from the flavor, I just can't put my finger on it. Sesame seed bun? Bacon? Salt? Idk. All of the above. They were generous with the fries. They were hot and lightly seasoned. Could've used a bit more seasoning. The ranch is a small portion and watery. The young woman who took my order was friendly and nice! 50ish looking fast food place. I had the double patty melt on rye with crinkle cut fries. Fricken yummy. The staff was very attentive to me asking me "am I ok and do I need a drink refill". Breakfast is served all day here if you want it. They make waffles which is not always on a fast food menu. I hope my job brings me to this area again because I need to try more stuff. We got breakfast from Beeps yesterday and it was delicious. Even though it's on a busy corner and parking can be a bit of a challenge because they stay so crowded, it is well worth it. Our food was ready at exactly the time they promised. The main thing I always notice when I walk in is how incredibly clean the restaurant is. They clearly take great care of the place. The girls working there are super sweet and make sure you have everything you need. Nothing is ever wrong or missing from my order, which is so important to me because they are just constantly accurate. What's even better is that two people can get breakfast for under $40 on a Sunday morning and leave with a full belly. We constantly come here for lunch and dinner as well, and it's always the same great experience. It's nice to know that even during a busy Sunday morning rush, they stay consistent. I've come here a couple times now and I've always gotten the deluxe breakfast. It has 2 pancakes, house potatoes, 2 sausage links, 2 bacon pieces, eggs, 2 slices of toast, and 2 pieces of French toast. You can choose how you want your eggs, which type of toast you want, and you can add cheese to the eggs for extra $. The potatoes were crispy, the pancakes seemed a little dry, and there was plenty of cheese on the scramble eggs. It's definitely big enough to share with another person. However, don't come expecting it to be the best food you ever tasted, as it is definitely a diner type of food aka very average. They recently remodeled the dining area (inside and out). The only con about eating outdoors is the fact that it's at a busy intersection so it gets very noisy and hard to hear your conversations you may be having. There is also only maybe 7 spots in the small parking lot. Overall, for the price of the food and the quantity you get, you definitely get a bang for your buck. I noticed a lot of people coming in and out for dine in and takeout. It did take a little longer to receive the food than anticipated. It had been my first time here. The parking lot is incredibly small, however the patio and inside are great. Upon entering I was met with an extensive menu and groovy music. A young lady greeted us and took our order. She was kind enough to recommend the steak and cheese and even offered a combo. She attended my wife and I with lots of care and offered us refills. I'm assuming she was the manager seeing as she was checking on all the customer's and greeting everyone even with how crazy busy it was at the time.
