Ok well my husband got the Bella Italia pizza and some cheese sticks. I got calamari and a plain old cheese pizza. My pizza honestly tasted like watered down sauce with a thick harden layer of cheese on top of a piece of cardboard! Tasteless sauce and over all terrible. Subway pizzas are better than this. The crust almost broke my tooth. I wish I was joking. Ok on to the next. The calamari was just as bad... had no taste to it. The batter was semi gooey and the calamari tasted off. At least it came with lemons to give it some sort of taste because if not it was like chewing on rubber bands ‍. My husband said his pizza was ok and the veggies tasted fresh. And the cheese sticks are your average cheese sticks. Needless to say I will not order here again. It was just as bad as in person when I had it for carry out. read more

Quick review for a quick lunch....Very Good! Got an Italian sub to go. As a quick aside, mayonnaise comes stock on the Italian sandwich. Weird. The bread was the real show. Firm sub roll that was toasted, giving a nice crunch to the crust with a warm soft inside. The cheese was also very good and the vegetables were fresh. The meat was a tad overpowered by the other ingredients. A few more slices would have been great but for $6.95? Not complaining. read more

A charmless Italian restaurant with rude staff and tasteless food. I was in the area for a quick dinner and thought I go with a local place rather than the other nearby fast-food restaurant chains. When I placed my order, the cashier couldn't be bothered to get off the phone. I got an Eggplant Parm. sub. It was smothered in cheese. You literally could not see the eggplant hidden underneath. Which I thought would be a good thing, because I love cheese. But it was flavorless and greasy. The tomato sauce also wasn't tasty. I hate to say this, but I'll be going to the big chain fast food places next time. :( read more

It was so annoying to the point that all patrons sat on the opposite side of the restaurant to try and get away from it. they also got my wife's order wrong because of a bad language barrier and a crappy order by the order taker. On the positive side, the dinner servings were large and not that expensive. Pizzas are so, so and priced on the average side. They should improve the quality of their sauces and pizzas. Put more meat in sauce that is supposed to have meat! Extra sauce or cheese on pizza should actually mean more sauce or cheese! NEVER use frozen spinach as a pizza addition, never! More good than bad so I took a chance and ordered take out I got the Bomba sub and fries and it was incredible ! Fresh mozzarella melted over philly steak just the right amount of great sauce Honestly one of the best I've ever had. Their staff was also great !! Can't wait to go back ! Although I was sad to see "The Bagel Place" go I was relieved to hear the gossip that Bella Italia was opening a second location. This is a pizza parlor, not fine dining. Its a place to have a casual meal, bring the kids and not drop a fortune. Like their original location, they offer beer and wine however the new place is bigger and brighter. I have been a fan of their pizza for a few years now and rank them in the top tier of pizza joints in the Annapolis area. I hail from Norhtern NJ where good pizza is a God given right so I know a good pie when I taste one and Bella Italia knows how to do it. The entrees lists well known staples like Penne Vodka, Linguine and clams, Chicken Parm and are well executed. Glad to have them in the area for a low key Saturday night bite. read more

I don't know who has been rating this place so highly but I am sorely disappointed in all of them. This place is definitely not great. We got pizza, garlic knots, and French fries (as a safety for the kids), all of which was pretty flavorless. I'm optimistically thinking that we just happen to visit on the one day they forgot to flavor any of their food. This is our new favorite place to order out from. We needed a place like this in Arnold. It's truly authentic Italian food. The pizza's are great and the salads too. They have definitely given Pizza Bolis next door a run for their money. I used to drive all the way to Italian Market for good pizza. All to go orders are usually ready in 15 minutes. The inside is nice and just big enough. One of the only dishes we've had here that we didn't like was the Veal Marsala. It had no flavor and was just too basic. The Chicken Saltimbocca was really good. Prices range from $4.95-19.95. I'm looking forward to trying more things on their menu. read more

Tucked into the back corner of a strip mall, it's easy to miss this place. But my son and I decided to check it out one day after he had an appointment with the chiropractor in the same center.....I had pizza and he had chicken parmesan. The pizza was actually pretty good....thin crust, plenty of cheese and lots of grease...yum! But his pasta & chicken left something to be desired. The sauce was bland, the pasta overcooked, and the chicken was soggy. The decor is pretty spartan, and almost made me feel like we were in an 80's mall food court....although not quite as nice. I may order pizza for takeout from Bella, but doubt I'll make the effort to go in to eat again. read more

I just finished reading some of the reviews here, I believe these folks think they are going to eat at a elite restaurant, not one in a strip mall stores. I have gone here more times them I can count, always had great service and the young gal that services the food is always glad to see you. We have tried the steak and cheese sub's, outstanding. The pizza stands up to the best around, even Rocco's in Eastport. The chicken dishes have always please me. Maybe these people should go up to Baltimore for their pizza, then they would be happy!!! read more

On June 21, 2011, my husband, daughter and I entered the restaurant. An employee yelled from across the counter to get out. I have a service dog to assist since I am both deaf and have a balance disorder. I knew immediately what was going on and said to call the police as they are required to uphold both the federal and state laws. He ran to the back and my family said he was having a "loud" conversation with the manager. She came out and I quickly walked over with my paperwork, copy of the ADA law and pointed out how clearly marked my dog was. She said we could stay but were not offered an apology. I asked her to post a copy I had of the ADA Business brief and she refused. We will not return. read more

This was my second time to Bella Italia and my wife's first. A friend suggested stopping in for a quick lunch earlier this week and I had a sub which was quite good. So I was looking forward to trying the place for dinner. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. We ordered a mozzarella caprese for an appetizer, my wife the chicken Marsala, and I ordered the Shrimp and Scallop Fettuccine. The total bill was around $40. The appetizer was a hunk of mozzarella cut into slices with alternating tomato slices and a light olive oil that was nearly tasteless. The tomato was barely ripe and the wilted pieces of basil were so small to be nearly nonexistent. The "fettuccine" wasn't--some sort of thin egg noodle pasta more likely was the stand in--with a creamy tomato sauce that was bland and flavorless. The 6 shrimp were cooked well and the 2 small scallops were lost in the mound of overcooked pasta. My wife's chicken Marsala was a thin chicken breast swimming in a pool of over flowered, watery marsala sauce, and some mushrooms. The spaghetti was cooked al dente, but wasn't enough to save the dish. In all we were obviously disappointed. From other reviews, we might go back to try their pizza. Otherwise, we'd give the restaurant a pass and go for something better--like Chef Boyardee. read more

Can only speak to the Pizza and I've only eaten take out but I really enjoy the margarita and the meatballs.

Yum! Great pizza! We had take-out while in Annapolis and everyone in my family raved about the pizza. The slices are huge and the ingredients were flavorful and tasted fresh. Okay, this is my second time and I was sorely disappointed. The first time was actually pretty good. My wife had the chicken picatta and she really liked it and I had chicken Marsala which was missing the pasta but, I enjoyed it. The pizza was good too. Today, not so much. Watching the owner yell at someone in Italian on the phone made it seem really authentic but the food was sub par. We ordered the same things as our previous visit; both sauces were watery and lacking flavor. The problem with this place is that it is pretty inconsistent (you can tell by many of the previous review). They should pay the good chef double and fire the bad cook. I hope they figure it out because when it's good, it's great especially for the price...when it's bad...too bad for you. If you're a gambler, I say go for it! read more

I ordered a calzone which all is wanted was pepperoni. They said something discerning which made it hard to understand their accent. It wasn't Italian. Anyway I wanted a calzone with just pepperoni well all they had was pepperoni and sausage. After much debate I said fine give that to me. 1st off that leads me to believe that it pre made and this Italian restaurant is too lazy to make it fresh. Go to any pizza place in New Jersey and they make it on the spot the way you like it. 2nd I take the calzone to go and when I get back to eat it it's got to be the smallest flicking calzone I have ever come across. Strike 3 it seemed to inconvenience them when I was trying to ask for just pepperoni, and got a frustrated attitude. Me and my two little ones visit this place waaaaayyyyy more than I'd like to admit. It's our favorite go-to spot. The pizza is awesome and I'm not even a huge pizza fan. I've tried quite a number of the pasta dishes and they are all wonderful! The staff is great (especially the one gentleman who I believe is the manager/owner) who is there most nights. The prices are very reasonable too. It's always very clean. The atmosphere is casual and family friendly. But you can still grab a beer or glass of wine! read more

This is definitely the Best Italian in Arnold. I have eaten here for many years and had many different items from there menu from apps and pizza to many different sandwiches/subs as well as multiple dishes from there dinner menu. The food has always been Great! I once ordered a sub from here and one of the guys made a mistake and made it wrong and before I made it to my vehicle the owner and or manage lady caught the mistake and sent the waiter to catch me before I left to come back so they could fix it and make it right!! After two lunches here, I thought I would give them a review. I've had pizza and salad. Really enjoy the pizza by the slice. It isn't soggy, but hot with a crispy crust. I do want more flavor from the crust. It needs some salt. Toppings are good. Salad portion is good, but the Cesar dressing isn't very savory or rich with garlic flavor. It is just ok.
