Ordered the Brie LT and the Mozerella sandwich and split the two with my wife. The Brie LT was amazing!! Just as described, brie, bacon and fresh green goodies and tomato. Holy hell was that good! The Mozerella was delicious as well. The Pesto mayo really kicks off the Mozerella and artichoke fabulously! Agsin, fresh greens and tomato. My first time going in was amazing! I got a piggly wiggly bagel sandwhich, and they made it perfectly! The bagel was not cold or too hard I could eat it, it was crunchy and soft and the bacon slices were thick and I got the majority or an avacado,(they did not skimp). read more

My husband and I stopped in for the first time early in the morning, just after opening, on a Saturday. Upon walking in, we were given a menu to look over. We decided on sharing a breakfast wrap and ordered two iced vanilla lattes. We found our way over to a table and sat down to wait for our order. There were a few customers already seated and a few more came in while we waited, which is a good sign to see at 6:15 in the morning. Unfortunately, we were soon disappointed, as the breakfast wrap we ordered just did not taste good. The flavors were off and the wrap was hard and extremely dry (stale?) to eat. We were both unable to finish our separate portions. The iced lattes were also disappointing and we also did not taste the vanilla flavor. So, overall, we were not impressed, so we most likely won't return. read more

This place is delicious...The breakfast sandwiches are the best in chico. I have lived right down the street from here and only recently discovered it. My favorite is the TNT bagel. This place has very fresh and well cooked breakfast and coffees. Eggs, sausage and toast were cooked perfectly, no burnt toast here. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. The servers were a mixed bag, some being friendly and all smiles while others not so much, need a little quality control there. It does take a while to get your food but they are obviously cooking to order and it wasn't over the top. The seating is their big down side, they could invest in some better chairs and tables inside and out, plastic picnic tables outside were not impressive and inside chairs are hard as a rock. With little space inside they choose to waste a big chunk with a couch??? Overall though I would say I will be back often. read more

Got a goat cheese and spinach toasted bagel and it was great. Then again it's pretty hard to mess up something that simple. The homemade lemonade was also surprisingly good, too often restaurants advertise "homemade lemonade" that's actually from powder. i've decided to down rate my previous review because i'm still in shock from the perspective of someone who has worked customer service before. I took my 20 min break from work to go over and i called in to make it quicker. I immediately did not like the environment as every single staff member acted very stuck up like they weren't being paid to serve customers. I accidentally ordered breakfast at 11:30 which they stop serving at like 11 or something. Not only did they not say anything about not serving breakfast, but i got there and it took 30 min to make one wrap, which normally i would not complain about. i observed all the teenage girls LOUDLY talking crap about other people and taking super long to make one drink at a time when there were 6 other people not doing anything. Now the most horrifying thing was: the girl that handed me my food looked and me and said in the bitchiest tone ever "You ordered breakfast and we stopped serving it but we made it this one time. DONT DO IT AGAIN". And as i was leaving screamed from across the store in a very mocking voice "have a nice day" In what world does an employee tell a paying customer "don't do it again" ?! i genuinely had no idea that i ordered an item they stopped making at a specific time (mind you: only 30 min before) let alone deserved that kind of treatment from a teenager. i accidentally order breakfast and get told what to do and no doubt shit talked after i left. The owner needs to hire actual adults who will do their job instead of 16 year old high school girls. No paying customer wants to hear you screaming around the cafe talking crap about random people let alone be spoken to like i didn't just pay $12 for overrated food. The owner or manager needs to address all these reviews because i have seen several who had the same experience as me. Chico is a big town, find some new employees. I use to be a frequent costumer until I was accused of walking out without paying for my coffee. The last time I was in, I was asked if I had been there on a specific date 2 months prior. I told the girl I didn't know. She then told me there was a post-it on the register saying I had walked out without paying for my coffee and a hot chocolate and I owed them $5. I told her I was confused as I would normally pay for my drink after ordering then wait for my drink to be made. I didn't understand how I could have walked out without paying. I went ahead and paid the $5 but felt awful that I was being accused of something that was most likely their mistake. I wrote a letter to the owner soon after, telling her what had happened and let her know I was shocked that they were waiting for two months for me to walk through the door so they could charge me the $5. I never heard back from the owner or anyone at Bellachinos. No apology, nothing. This was about 1.5 years ago and I still have never been back and never plan to. read more

I stopped by this curious corner spot on a hunch whilst cycling. My initial desire was a quick Americano to-go. It wasn't long before I decided to stay. Comfy couches, appropriate lighting, and a good selection of games under the coffee table. Their menu is impressive, but I wasn't looking for a meal, so the waitress suggested "6 Dates." They were nothing short of perfection. Smell, flavors, presentation, for such a simple appetizer it was conceived with care. Going back? OMG yes, will be revisiting this gem to indulge in their culinary bounty and toasty atmosphere in the nearish future. I am writing only about the evening dinner experience. The place was recommended but our experience was not very good. I think it is one of those situations where the chef is pretty good but should never have opened up a restaurant because he lacks organization skills. The appetizer took almost an hour to be served and the place was not busy. We noticed that the chef was busy chatting up other customers or with staff and not getting the orders out. Our dinner took over an hour to be served while we noticed that a table that was seated after us got their meal before us. So we will not go back, the food was fair to good but not worth the frustration. Besides that interior is not very inviting and the seats not very comfortable which made the long wait even worse. There are too many other good restaurants in Chico where I can spend my time and money. read more

I want to love this place, I really do. The staff are very friendly without exception. The coffee and espresso drinks are above average. The prices for food are too high for what is offered, and the hours of operation are ridiculous. They close at 2pm. It evens out to a three star review from me. I really want to give it four stars. The baristas here except one, are extremely rude. I used to LOVE coming here. But I just had the most rude encounter. My sister and I both have worked at a local coffee shop/lunch joint for YEARS. And I could never imagine treating customers this way. We also had a new team member join us at our shop and told us the owner takes their tips and takes a cut of it. Don't tip there. I wouldn't even give them your business. I recommend going to beatniks which is very close by. They're pricey, disgustingly rude and have shitty coffee and average food. I really want to like this place, it's quaint, close to home and the food is actually decent. The workers however have the worst attitude and never I mean NEVER get my order right. I've tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but everything I order something it comes out wrong. And they get pissed when I tell them it's not what I ordered. I like Bellachino's. I come here somewhere frequently. They are good for lunch and breakfast. For breakfast, I like their breakfast bagel sandwiches. At lunch I get their wraps. The parking is pretty tight and so is the seating inside, but they do have a nice outside patio. I bring my dog sometimes, who is okay to be there out on the patio. I have been there a few times in the past when they were either unexpectedly closed for the day or had closed early. Haven't noticed that as much recently however. Overall, they are not always my first choice, but definitely a worthwhile place to go for breakfast or lunch. read more

I love this place! The staff are super friendly and the food is AMAZING! I love the huevos wrap, the quiche if you're in a hurry, or the fresh mozzarella sandwich for lunch. They're also one of the only cafés in town that make a Chico Chai very well (other places they add too much milk). They also have great catering! This place has some of the best food in Chico! Everything I have had there is great! I first began going here for their great breakfast like bacon egg bages with blue cheese and sides of fresh fruit. Now their dinner is just as outstanding. They get their produce form S&S. They use so many fresh, local, and organic items it makes me happy to take my family there. Their from scratch baked mac and cheese is just rediculous good. The chef sends out random things free of charge and it is always good. He has a real passion for his trade and it shows in evey hand made dish. He and all of the staff are very easy to talk to and make the place feel like you are visiting family. Eat there. The food was GOOD! Not great. I went the other day 7/12/13 with my parents and ordered the "Risotto Crab", which was good however it should have been labeled "Crab Cakes on a shallow bed of risotto". I was under the impression the risotto would be more plentiful and hearty than it was, and what a risotto usually is. My Mother ordered the Salmon which was tasty, but once again overpriced. My Father ordered the Pork Chop which was absolutely delicious! We came in on a Thursday which is music night at the restaurant/cafe. We were told the musician was quite loud but didn't think to much of it. However when he started playing we quickly got the idea. It was unbearable! Not because he sounded bad but because it's such a small establishment and apparently he felt the need to shout and be heard by everyone whether they were inside or not! We quickly moved outside to save our ears, and were quite frustrated. The nice patio suited our gourmet meals well and the service was slow but accommodating. They really need to come up with policies about their "thursday night music" and advertise it better. The music in a nice dining facility should be more in the BACKGROUND not blistering in the forefront and hurting your ears!!! I would love a nice quiet jazz musician or such, instead of a solo artist hellbent on making sure he is heard. I want to enjoy a nice meal with good company and conversation, not being interrupted and suffer a headache by the miss cued falsettos of the musician! read more

We called in our order and when we got there it wasn't done. Additionally it was the wrong thing. Then they remade it and we got home and it was still the wrong thing and when we called just to be able to come back and get our proper order, they knew exactly who were were and to come back for our correct food but not a voucher. We got there and they didn't want to remake my food or give us a voucher. Luckily she stepped in to the back to make our food even though there were closed. After three years of coming here, I'm afraid it's going to go downhill. It used to be our favorite spot but after coming in today, I'm not so sure. We ordered two man scrams and waited about 40 minutes for it to come out. It wasn't too busy at the time we came in. They are the only place in town to charge for coffee refills and they upped the charge to $0.75 per refill in their small mugs. When our food came out we had no utensils so we asked for some and then got dirty ones. When I was about to eat the toast it comes with I went to grab jam and they also don't have that anymore. I knew that Bellachino's had awesome breakfast burritos but now I know they also have an amazing dinner menu also. While visiting my sister this weekend, she insisted we dine at her favorite restaurant, near her apartment. The food was to die for and they also have complimentary wine corkage. My bro-in-law is a big foodie and they named a special dinner item after him, gnocchi-a-la-Jonathan....really good gnocchi I must say. I would also recommend the date appetizer and the duck. read more
