Quoted me 30 minutes for bagel breakfast sandwich (piggly wiggly) it ended up being 1 hr and they gave me a totally different sandwich than what I ordered. The worst part is they gave me the grossest one on the menu (pink dynamite with disgusting sweet cranberry cream cheese) and they didn't even put bacon on it. Been here twice for breakfast on a weekend and I love it! Your order at the counter and seat yourself. I love any place that is Super Generous with avocado! I love their piggly wiggly breakfast bagel. My boyfriend is a fan of their brunch bowl which is super kept friendly (at least I think it is, didn't see any carbs). Both comes with a side of fruit. The second time we went, I tried their earl grey lavender chai and it was so yummy! Perfect for a sunny day. If you're looking for a chill place to eat great food with great service, come here! Still good sandwhiches for the most part but rarely answers calls, online ordering doesn't work apparently but will tell you it's been processed, and takes ridiculously long to wait in line and order/pay. Came in this morning for the first time and it was mad busy but the food and service was amazing. This old lady I think Amelia was her name helped me at the register and the vibe was there. To clarify, my score is 3.3. C, e$, H, MB, and I stopped here for brunch on a Sunday at 11am. Ambience - 4. I'm especially a fan of chalkboards with legibly written menus, since that makes the vibe feel quirkier and welcoming. Personal preference. Otherwise, everything was clearly labeled - from the reservation placard on our reserved table to the food behind, around, and on top of the glass counters. Downside - there were pesky flies that skittered around our food during the meal. No bueno. Food - 3. My tomato/avocado scramble wasn't scrambled - the tomato and avocados were separately plated from the actual eggs. On top of that, I had to add salt to the eggs to combat its blandness. The toast was just right - fibrous and crispy with just a touch of light butter. Apparently, the huevos wraps that my friends E and M ordered and the veggie brunch bowl that my friend C got were tastier, so I'll get those next time. Service - 3. After perusing the menu, you place your order and pay at the counter. If you want water, there's a self-serve station with a pitcher of iced water. Otherwise, the food delivering process is inefficient; since the customer isn't given a numbered placard for their table, there's no definite way that the serving waitresses know where the order should be delivered. Instead, the waitress ends up walking around and calling out your name in the restaurant, adding a few more unnecessary minutes to get your food. Get it together, Bellachino. Pro tips: 1. You can call in before your arrival to place a reservation for a table. 2. Car parking is available in the private lot, and bike parking is available at the bike racks. read more

This was my first time coming to this cafe. It was a very busy (and little seating) when we first got there since it's Saturday morning, but after 45 minutes it cleared out. The Latte with almond milk was amazing! The best one that I've tried in Chico. I ordered the Pesto Sandwich and it was so flavorful. I would definitely order it again. My husband got the Lunch Bagel and it was the best bagel sandwich he's ever tried! The staff was very friendly despite how busy it was. The atmosphere felt very comfortable. I'm definitely going to try the Club Sandwich next time I go in. It's going to be my new favorite spot! I LOVE Bellachinos and HIGHLY recommend it!! I first discovered this cafe while living and working in CA Park. I went in on a whim to pick up something for breakfast and ever since then I was hooked! They also have lunch items. My favorite is the Brie LT, but I have had many things off the menu and all are great! Their smoothies are good and I have heard their specialty drinks are good too. Seating and turn around time can be lengthy around lunch time, but if you call in your order, it can cut down on wait time. They are know open at night and offer small plates, but I have yet to go at that time. If you haven't been to Bellachinos before, you are missing out! read more

Came to Bellachinos on a late Sunday morning. I ordered the green eggs and ham bowl, and a side bagel with sundried tomato cream cheese. My boyfriend ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich with eggs and ham and cheese. We loved it!! I especially loved the sundried tomato cream cheese, it was so tangy and fresh. Seemed homemade. Another surprise was the green eggs and ham bowl! They julienned the spinach which really made the whole thing more enjoyable. I was hoping it wasn't just on a bed of baby spinach because that would have been predictable. Not being a super fan of spinach, it was a nice surprise making it easy to eat. Overall, we loved the atmosphere and hanging on the back patio! Will definitely be back for some of the baked goods that we didn't get last time! They looked amazing. read more

THE GOOD: The food is stellar! The coffee is damn good! The ambiance is nice and home like and not stuffy. You don't feel the "coffee snob" judgements and pressure to order some foo foo drink. They remember the name of everyone, which is incredible. Shelby even remembered my exact order the next day, and I had only been in once! That was impressive. Thy have great healthy alternatives and something for the kids too! They have games the kids can play, an outdoor patio, and free 20mb wifi. The staff are super friendly and they are always quick to thank you as you leave and it makes a person feel very welcome. Overall a great experience with great food, at a fair price. THE BAD: There is only one restroom. I'm not sure about their organic selection, so you have to ask, but it's not "featured" that I could see. The feeling of having someone remember your name, order, and look you in the eye when talking to you can be very addictive! I find myself wanting to come back often whenever I visit chico, simply because they make you feel like your business really does matter. So I know that's not really a bad point, but it sure can be! We stopped by there while on the main road driving by and saw a Chico Fire Truck parked by there and decided if it's good enough for them it's probably delicious. We were not disappointed. Went in for a coffee and they forgot half my order and got the drink blended instead of hot. Customer service is lacking, floors had coffee spills all over, food on my seat, and for having a very small place, it's easy to see all the cracks in the business. We have been going to Bellachinos for 5+ years regularly but I can no longer support this company. For the second time in a month we ordered food online and it said it would be ready in about half an hour. Knowing from personal experience I showed about 40 minutes later.... It still took them an additional half an hour to get me my food... and they gave us the wrong food to top it off. So basically it took 70 minutes to get my food and this is the second time this has happened in the past month. It sucks because we love the food here but they need to redo/look into their system because it doesn't work. read more

Well the food here is really good, I will never be ordering inside again. I went to pick up breakfast for my boyfriend and myself, and there was maybe 6 people in there. My order took almost 45 minutes to get to me. All we ordered was 2 breakfast bagels with bacon, egg, and cheese. The atmosphere used to be really friendly and welcoming, and that's declined greatly. Was really excited to try this place since it's so close to my house, and work in Cal Park. I ordered a Breakfast Bagel Sandwich, and a Large White Mocha. There were a total of 5 people customers, not including myself, in the the entire building, and my food took almost 20-25 min to make. My LARGE white mocha was half way full :( the rest of the cup was filled with whipped cream. I'm really bummed with my experience, especially since I paid quit a bit for my food & coffee. read more
