Anyway, I had my pick of the menu and selected the Boston cream pie cake, Italian lemon cake and lemon blueberry crumb cheesecake. I am a lover of all things food. One bite can make my eyes close and my shoulders shimmy to music no one else can hear. And yet .. i have never been more disappointed in three things simultaneously. The lemon blueberry cheesecake was the smallest thing I've ever seen. For the price i think ut would at least be a little taller. Its crumb topping added great texture to an otherwise lackluster cheesecake. There was simply not enough lemon and I felt it was missing some lemon curd or fresh lemon zest. The Boston cream pie -- although attractive -- missed the flavor profile for me completely. The custard wasn't that trademark vanilla cream and the chocolate coating reminded me of the time I tasted dark cocoa powder straight. The cake in it had a nice texture but was spongier than expected without the spongy moisture. The best of the three if I had to pick one was the Italian lemon cake, which for me, still needed more of that zesty kick of lemon. They were all very one note and we didn't bothering finishing them. Banana foster cake: 6/10 (everything about this cake tasted manufactured, not freshly made) Key lime pie: 7/10 mainly because it was actually cheesecake and not pie. Delicious desserts! I just tried their dessert for very first time and I couldn't believe how come I didn't know about this place yet! I got Josh's triple stuffed funnel balls, Boston cream pie and Chocolate temptation. I was amazed! The temptation chocolate cake is unbelievable. Layered with multiple delicious flavors which makes perfect taste in your mouth. Every single layer was perfectly balanced. Boston cream pie cake was nice and fluffy, very yummy but I could use little bit more vanilla custard. Balanced and sweet perfectly. Optimal for takeout or enjoying with a meal at Antonio's Pizzeria. Overall, none of the desserts I ordered were super flavorful and could use some improvements. - Oreo Cheesecake: Among their top two (the other being the tiramisu), but the Oreo pie crust and cookie on top was disappointingly soggy. - Summerberry Stack: Light and not overly sweet. - Lemon Blueberry Crumb Cheesecake: Similarly lighter, but the crumble was soggy. I felt their desserts were pricey at about $8-9 per slice, especially considering the smaller sized cuts of the summerberry stack and lemon blueberry crumb cheesecake. That said, a boba can be the same price and baking requires a lot more work and skill, so that's worth something. I'm not sure about the freshness either as all of the desserts were taken from a fridge in the back and as mentioned prior, crusts and crumbles were soggy. Would be great to know when they were baked. Something to note is they are housed inside Antonio's Pizzeria, with no distinct shop signage. Came here to have some dessert. It took some time to find it because I didn't realize they are located inside of Antonio's Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen. We ordered the carrot cake, sweet potato maple cheesecake, and the peanut butter explosion. I forgot to take photos but everything was extremely fresh and although not my favorite dessert spot, their desserts are delicious and slices are quite large. They don't have a standard store front. I ordered today through postmates and left a note requesting whip cream. I ordered 3 slices of the vanilla bean cheesecake. We were a bit confused upon arrival. We didn't realize this was located inside the restaurant Antonio's Pizzeria. It was such a chill vibe inside, we will definitely be back for a full dinner. I used to get this dessert when my sisters lived in the area and always take it to there house, well tonight I was in the area and couldn't leave without getting some lemon cake..our favorite. Been obsessively ordering from this place the last few weeks. I am allergic to wheat and long list of others stuff so I go for gluten-free food as it is less likely to inflame my gut and often contains less other allergens. Was so happy to discover that these desserts are delicious and didn't upset my body!! If anything I had inflammation from some other food and the dessert helped calm it. Have ordered delivery from here 3 times already, and I always reflect on how scammed I felt. This is, by far, one of the worst places to get dessert in LA. Between the windmill and the hersheys kiss cookie cake and a few other things I've tried, they've all had that "deep freeze" flavor, like college dining hall, Sysco, made a month ago flavor. If you've had desserts at CRAVE, you know what im talking about. And the cream coats your mouth with that filmy sensation because vegetable shortening is likely used instead of other fats to extend shelf life. If you have tastebuds, spare yourself? Go to Big Sugar, Creme Caramel LA, Sabzee market, that french place in Burbank, Cake Monkey, Bhan Kanom -- heck, even daphne's desserts is better than this place and their pie dough/pop tarts usually taste raw to me. Ordered on a recent vacation and had desserts delivered to our hotel. Peanut Butter Dream was the only dessert of the four that we ordered with any taste what-so-ever. The Boston Cream Pie and the Campfire S'more cake had absolutely no flavor. The Stuffed Funnel Bites were nothing extraordinary and came with a caramel sauce that also had no flavor to it.
