Pretty decent pizza, but remarkably rude service. We had just wandered in after trying a Mexican place down the street this afternoon to grab some pizza to go. It was very awkwardly quiet in there, so my friend-- who happens to be Hispanic, mentioned we tried the Mexican place and it was great. The blonde haired boy behind the counter in a Colgan Football T-shirt looked her right in the eye and said "well I'm american", in a way that came off very rude and I hate to throw the word around, but clearly racist. The other boy behind the counter just looked at him and laughed. As someone who has been in the service industry for a long time, this is not how you treat customers. Eaten here several times. The pizza is solid and it's a good price. Staff isn't overly friendly but they're not rude either so that's fine. My biggest issue is that every time we've been, this place is always so dirty! Tables are never clean and the floor always looks like it hasn't been swept in awhile. It's also usually a week night when we stop in, so it's never very busy. It comes across that the employees could just care less. Taking a little pride in keeping the place clean would go a long way. read more

Not gonna say I'm super impressed. The special pizza of the day was mushroom. Now if I'm paying extra for a special pizza, why not use fresh mushrooms? No, these were canned mushrooms y'all. If I'm being honest, the pizza is probably a 3.5 but the portions are huge and the people there are very nice so they get a little extra. My biggest complaints about the food itself is that the pizza is a bit salty and I wish they had more options for toppings. We've tried two of their monthly specials and they were just okay so I stick with the standard pepperoni, sausage, cheese, etc. Finally, if it wasn't already obvious, the pies are huge, I would say at least twice the size of a normal pizza. read more

It's very over priced in my opinion for what I got, a pepperoni pizza was $42 plus tax. It took about 2 hours for the pizza to be made. So after all of this I was expecting something great; but we ended up getting a floppy pizza, no taste or crunch on the crust, the only flavor in the entire pizza was an overwhelming saltiness (I guess from the cheese). It was very greasy and hard to chew. I was pretty disappointed to say the least. I'm willing to try again, maybe we just got a messed up batch since they were so busy. Sooooo happy this location opened! I've eaten many pizza slices at the Benny's near Virginia Tech over the years. I went twice their opening week. They have every soda can imaginable, and their prices are so fair. $2 for a soda and about $6 for a pizza slice that fills you up! There is limited seating - 2 booths, some seats overlooking the sidewalk, and a bar, but if you walk out to the right, there is seating under the Harris Pavilion which is nice. The staff is friendly and the pizza has the best crunch. They have an array of dipping sauces and beer too. There is a bit of wait for a slice, but it is so worth. read more

Simply the largest, tastiest, slice around. I journeyed to the hills of Manassas with my son, Hank recently. We found the restaurant on a quiet street. My son said "looks like you're gonna have to execute a parallel parking maneuver Dad....ya think the old Accord has it in her?" This place has the vibe of a small local joint, but is part of a growing chain of about 30 locations. I've been to several and they're all pretty similar. These places mostly rely on the gimmick of an absolutely gigantic pizza. It's about the size of a truck tire. Kids get a kick out of it. But there's just one size, and there's a lot of tradeoffs to doing business this way. Unless you're feeding a family of 5, you're never ordering a whole pizza. So you're getting reheated (mouth-scalding) slices, nothing fresh. Slices cover 2 paper plates and are tough to hold on to, you can't really fold them in half and eat them either. The slices are so big you're reluctant to try 2 different flavors, because it's more food than most want. I figure a lot of people would find about 1.5 slices the perfect amount, but that's not an option. Since you're sharing a pizza with the rest of the world, you're not customizing it to your tastes. Forget chicken and pineapple or BBQ and onion. You've got about 6 topping options. Sauce is spread thin to nonexistent. Toppings are spread thin too. You get about 1 pepperoni for every 4 bites. It's definitely quantity over quality, with the main flavors being hard crackery crust, baked salty cheese, and more crust. For me, the sauce is important, but if you have pizza with great crust (Pupatella or Crust in NoVa for example) it makes up for almost anything. This is not great crust. It's hard and thin. There's basically nothing for appetizers or sides. You get bottled sodas which are small enough that you feel like you need to ration them as you eat your dry, salty pizza. I hate to bash the place, the service was very friendly at least. I didn't wait too long for the pizza, but then again, it's reheated. Just don't see the appeal except for people who want a fast $6 meal. read more
