The gummi bear drink... just try one. BOOM! Amazing! Sushi for days. The sushi menu alone is filled with so many mouthwatering options. One of the rolls I ordered had added popcorn shrimp on it. For my last day in California, my newly made friend wanted sushi, but the original plan was too packed. The 50% off ALL sushi made me feel a little bit nervous, but everything we ordered was pretty good. The rolls were Dynamite, Philly, Negi-Hama, Unagi Heaven and Rainbow. We used to come here all the before quarantine days and were so happy to know they had opened up for indoor dining. You are seated and have to order at the front which is okay but I don't get that concept because now there's a crowd in the front all the time. Kitchen is prompt to bring out meals and perfect if you're stopping in on your lunch break wanting a quality meal on a time restraint. Came to Bento Box during happy hour. It looked good from the outside and I came in for a sushi meal. The menu has plenty of other options but I was all sushi. I would have done a chef special or combination sushi plate but did not see that option. The Yellowstone roll intrigued me because of the lemon flavor with the salmon. Pretty good. Disrespectful manager (male). Don't believe he was manager. Because the server said the manager always a she. Asked for siracha sauce as usual. As I get it everyone. 3.5 stars Bento Box is a relatively clean and pleasant place. The people who work here are relatively friendly and nice. The service was a bit slow, but it wasn't frustratingly long. The Deluxe Bento Box was decent. The food is slightly on the saltier side, but if you're eating with rice it's okay. Personally, I don't think that the salmon teriyaki was worth the extra $5. It was pretty mediocre. All sushi roll are 50% off. The Dre sushi roll is okay. It's different in texture, but interesting. The Lion King roll is pretty good. Definitely recommend. Has a unique flavor. Has a great combination of cheesy and savory. Unfortunately, even dine-in food is served in a ToGo box which makes it look a lot less appetizing. The soy sauce comes in packets, and -as we know - soy sauce in packets always have this strange preservative flavor that isn't apparent in real soy sauce. I don't know why I keep coming back to any of the Bento Box establishments. Usually I take my food to go so I don't always have a bad experience but on my most recent visit I did. I tried ordering a Diet Coke and unbeknownst to me they only serve Pepsi products. The server didn't tell me that and let me order a Diet Coke when they don't even serve it. When I got my drink and tried it, I could tell it was Pepsi. I tried communicating to the server that usually places say we don't offer Coke is Pepsi okay and the server ignored me. I left the drink on the table and didn't drink it. I asked for it to be removed from my bill and the server refused the request. I asked to speak to the manager about it and they finally removed the drink. Overall I feel like the servers and company as a whole need to work on their hospitality and friendliness. They say their rolls are 50% off but that just means the put $25 on the menu and make it $13 or something like that. Which is the price of a typical roll at any sushi restaurant. I was in here the other day while I was downtown for a walk. I have to start by saying that this place was actually cute and spacious. The staff was actually extremely and the cooks are good conversation if you sit up at the sushi bar. They make you feel at home. I ordered two rolls which were actually super yummy and made me full. It's been a while sense ive had jalapeno on a roll so I was feeling the little bit of kick that the roll had to it. The snow crab roll deffinatly had a different flavor. That was my favorite. I did not see the special roll menue until after I ordered. It looked like something I would want to explore if I wasn't already stuffed silly. I'll have to check that out next time. Don't live in Sacramento, came out for a visit and wanted to try out bento box since I love sushi and Japanese food. Service was ok, we didn't get our waters until later and asked for a couple of things but waiter forgot. Though the Korean BBQ Spicy chicken was really delicious, I enjoyed that. I have eaten here for many many years and although I very much enjoy the food, I'm not sure if I'll be back after tonight. Our server Anna or Annie (I can't even remember at this point) made us feel so unwelcome. She brought us the wrong poke bowl, we nicely told her that we wanted the ahi not the salmon and she continued to argue with us. After we finished going back and forth, the service was all downhill from there. Our table was full of dirty dishes we finally just started bussing our own dirty dishes onto to the table next to us. We never received plates to eat on, or refills. We kept saying thank you when she did bring us items and instead of acknowledging us saying thanks, she instead ignored us and said nothing like she was a pissed off teenager with an attitude problem. When I asked another server what her name was and requested if I could please get a box he asked if there was a problem. I told him about how uncomfortable she made us feel with her attitude and then he never came back with a box either! Pretty unfortunate as it is a cute place. But as a guest paying almost $200 for a meal, I shouldn't be made to feel uncomfortable and ignored at our table. Here's a tip, if a $10 item is wrong and the client is paying almost $200 for the rest of their order, maybe don't be rude and argumentative.
