I want to preface that I was extremely reluctant to bring our Sienna here after having such poor experience with previous dealerships in this location. We had such a great experience back in March with Al Russell that we are back here again almost 6 months later to take care of the things that were recommended then. Al has been very understanding of the cost of repairs, explaining what can wait, and the burden of being without your car for too long. I really feel like I can ask questions free from judgement and gain knowledge to make an informed decision. The amenities here are nice if you have to spend time waiting around. Gourmet coffee options, individually bagged donuts, popcorn, HD TVs, and mini arcade games are free for all customers to use. Our experiences have been with the service side, but the interactions we have had with sales while we stared at a car too long on the lot have been pleasant. No one has approached in a sleazy way and have always been chill when saying we were not looking to buy anything. I am happy to recommend this place to anyone needing sales or service. I've brought my car here twice for warranty service. Twice they've brought it back with dirty fingerprints inside and out. The first time was grease. The second time was dirt. Also on the second visit I had them take the car and clean it. They brought it back supposedly clean. There was still dirt on the door handle outside. Sent it back again. They cranked the ac to the lowest setting and fan on highest speed. IT IS NOT MY FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP YOU COOL!!!! They changed all of my dash settings. WHY?? Also Android auto was disconnected. Also, my headlight setting was changed from automatic to off. You do not have permission or the right to change any settings on my car. It is your responsibility to drive the car to the technician. That's it, just drive the car to the technician. On the first visit, Alex misspelled my name. I called him on it. He said he corrected the spelling. He did not. My name is still misspelled. Yes it is a big deal! The guy that did the work on my car sent a video text of his work. He was speaking so quickly that I could not understand what he was saying. They've left paper and plastic seat and floor protective cover for me to remove. On the first 5k maintenance I asked for the oil to be changed. Alex said they don't usually change oil at 5k miles. He said he would change it if I wanted it changed. Okay, change it. Unbeknownst to me he recorded the 10K work as being done. Took it for 10k, he recorded it as 15k being done. If I had known they were gonna jump the maintenance recording up 5000 miles I would not have had the oil changed on the first visit. I will not be going back to Berge Toyota!!! I'm really trying to find a good enough word that encapsulates the experience of these AZ dealerships, but I just can't. From BMW to Toyota, always the same fuckery. It's just a shame that these car manufacturers can't sell direct to consumer due to the millions these scum dealers spend lobbying to affect government legislation. From top to bottom, these creatures are more revolting than the liquid at the bottom of a cesspit. My friend originally came to see a 21' certified toyota camry with 14k miles for $27k. Oops, "it sold". While the salesman was trying to upsale, I made it known that my homie was not the typical NPC customer. We came in for a very specific spec (21-23" camry, under 15k miles, silver or white color, and must have blindspot monitoring). We don't want to see an orange camry, a-corolla-that-is-just-as-nice, nor so we want to a bust down with 100k miles. While still there, I went on autotrader and found two 23' camry's in a similar spec for $27k-$28k. Despite being "newly listed", they also "sold". smh. BUT "Sort-of" good news? A 23' Camry was en route, however it was $30k. Lol. I take a look at the paperwork and see that the car is actually $28k but the dealer has decided to add a $2k "PLATINUM ACCESSORY PACKAGE" that includes tint, theft protection, door protectant, etc [My God]. This package is SO GOOD YOU CAN'T REFUSE IT (NO, LITERALLY, YOU CANNOT REFUSE IT). YOU ABSOLUTELY CANNOT BUY THIS CAR WITHOUT IT. Hands were shaken and exits were made. Back Story I used to work in the automotive industry and currently work as a Dispatcher for a Heavy truck repair and warehouse. 7/5/25 Made Appointment in person for 7/725 @ 1:00 pm with Specific Service advisor, was told that it would be a 2-3 hour job to replace an exterior door handle on my vehicle. Ordered part from dealership at 1:00; was told part should be in 7/7/25. 7/7/25 Arrived at dealership service at 12:45 was told part had not arrived by Service Advisor. Was told that due to the age of my vehicle that there could be parts that break. (due Told Service Advisor I would drop vehicle off 7/8/25 at approximately 4:15 pm. 7/8/25 Dropped vehicle off at 4:15 was told by Service Advisor "it might take multiple days" Told Service Advisor "I will pick up my vehicle 7/9/25 at approx. 4:00 pm". Service Advisor told me 7/9/25 was his day off but he would relay all information. Received a text from Dealership saying "text is the best way to communicate with the Dealership/Service" 7/9/25 Texted asking for update and got no response. Called Dealership Main number, phone rang 15 times with no pick up. Arrived at Dealership at approx. 4:00, spoke to different Service Advisor was told "Your vehicle has not even started" I asked "Why?" was told by Service Advisor "We are short of Techicians." My response "Then why did you accept my repair if you knew you did not have a technician?" Due to these problems I did get a discount on the OEM part. I bought my RAV4 exactly 2 weeks prior to Black Friday. I paid cash. Had I known, or if I was informed, that if I wait, 2 more weeks to purchase my RAV4, I would receive a gift card. After that weekend, I called the staff to ask if I could still get in on the " Black Friday" gift card deal, since I paid cash and they didn't inform me about the Black Friday deal. I was told no I don't qualify. I thought if they wanted to show good customer relations, they would at least reward me with some kind of a gift card, even if it wasn't $500, since I did not finance the vehicle. I was served by James Haas, Robert Hill, Jonathan "Cheese" Chiazza, and the owner, Brent Berge And I saw their core values and missions on the boards when I returned to them today. And I can say that I sensed through my interactions with them that all of their core values were properly practiced and all of their missions were delivered. I asked their team members how they create and develop ther own unique culture, and I learned a lot from them! The culture was created top down as well as their high standard has been practiced among the team by keeping each other accountable. It is always easy to say such things, but extremely difficult to put them in action. Needless to say, the integrity is necessary for that. No, I still have not decided what car/brand that I want to buy yet. But I already referred 3 of my friends who are Toyota owners to get their cars serviced by Berge Toyota the next time. NOTE: there is a disclaimer by the price letting you know it could be different - found at the bottom of the page. Rational for falsely advertising MSRP pricing is, per Nate, the special internet guy 'to give everyone a fair chance at buying a new car". If your budget is $26K, you see an MSRP of $23K (factoring in the BS dealership transportation fees and taxes), things could work out, let's take a drive to the dealer! Upon arrival the sticker has $6K worth of non negotiable must accept 'paint protection' and now your budget is blown, your time is wasted, and it's just an annoying end to the day of car searching. If you want to mark the prices up, do it! Free market society, pad your pockets, and stick it to the customer! Have the balls to show it real time though. read more

Just say NO to buying a used car from Berge Toyota. They "forget" to take the cars through emissions and have to call you a week later to ask you to please either do it yourself & they will pay you back or to come back into the dealership so they can send one of their lot attendants to take the car and have it done. It was not only me that this happened to as I have a friend who this happened to also. As far as the sale of the car that went smoothly and I had no problems, it was everything else after I bought the car and within 2 weeks I was having major problems with the car and I have had nothing but problems with it and Berge ever since.
