Updating my review since I came here to eat in person. As suspected, eating here is the way to go. I have had Berlin on my list of places to try in person and it did not disappoint. Restaurant is pretty small with 2 tables inside and shared seating outside. The employees were all super friendly. I ordered the sandwich this time because I saw someone else order it and it looked very tasty with chicken and original sauce. The doner came out fairly quickly. The inside was exactly how I remembered it. The meat was generous and tender. The veggies were fresh. Everything was so much better when I ate it there. Also, the bread was nice crunchy. Definitely this doner should be eaten there for the full experience. I am definitely going to come back here next time my doner craving hits. A few logistics, there's a small lot for parking but I can see it getting crowded during peak time. And no restroom inside.

Doner Sandwich. Kabob tasted like space hydrogenated chicken. Also weird taste.

Horrible. Absolute trash. One of the worst middle-eastern style sandwiches and the first and last time I order anything doner or Turkish style pita breaded sandwich probably ever. What a joke. I have no idea what I deserved to get such terrible quality but here goes: I ordered the chicken kabob style 'classic doner sandwich' with fries. Truly absolutely disgusting. I've never had hydrogenated chicken breast, but it was quite leathery and had zero flavor . No salt. No pepper. No spices . Tasted like old jerked shoe leather space hide meant for Apollo missions. I mean it tasted like imitation 'veggie' chicken meat, but it wasn't . Taste was that bizarre. Fries were no better. Over cooked, and tasted like it had been sunbathing under the lamp for hours. À horrid experience . I cannot believe for the life of me that Berlins has like over a thousand reviews with an aggregate 4.5 stars. Success must be going to the chefs head !

Stopped by Berlins German Doner on a Tuesday afternoon for a quick snack and had a great experience. The place is casual but clean, and the service was extremely friendly. You order at the counter, and while the menu is limited, the food really delivers. We tried the Doner Box with beef--super tasty meat, extra crispy fries, and flavorful sauces that tied everything together. Great spot for a satisfying bite. Will definitely be back!

Donar beef and lamb , drink and fries. About 20 dollars with tip . A good value, and a delicious sandwich. I've come here enough to fill up several cards with the stamps. I'm never disappointed.

I come to Berlin's all the time because my barbershop is in the same plaza. Almost every time I get a haircut, I end up grabbing a sandwich here--it's become a routine. Mateas and Luis are the best. They're respectful, fast, and genuinely know how to take care of customers. I've even seen them give free sides like French fries when orders take longer than expected, which shows real appreciation and good service. I usually get the chicken wrap or the doner with house sauce, hot, and spicy. I'm not personally a fan of lamb, but a lot of people love it, so it's worth trying. The chicken, though, is a must.

We just revisited Berlin's and found it to be as delicious as ever! We ordered the Chicken Doňer Wrap and kept wanting me. Very flavorful. The shop was spotless and inviting. The two male employees (Saturday early evening) were very nice and welcoming. We drove a distance from the South Bay just for Berlin's! We'll be back, of course, but wish you opened another location down in the beach cities. We'd be your best customers! Great food!

Came here on a Thursday evening around 6 to grab dinner. It's impossible to find Berliner-style döner kebab in the US, so I have to try it when I see it. It's a small shop with limited seating and the folks working there were incredibly friendly. I put in an order at the counter for the beef and lamb Döner sandwich with feta and the spicy sauce as well as a side of pita and garlic aioli. The flavor was a thing of beauty, I haven't had anything as good as this since my first time having Berliner-style döner in 2014 in Europe. It tasted so good that I went back and put in an order for a chicken Döner sandwich with feta and spicy sauce. This one was also incredible. So glad I came here and will definitely seek it out again the next time I'm in LA. Highly, highly, highly recommend coming here!

Don't quite know what to make of this place. Food is fresh and bright and tasty, but a bit above normal market prices. I ate my whole rice bowl in one sitting (chipotle usually lasts me 2). For $20 it's just not a substantial amount of food. Don't know if it was just a lacking day lol. Service staff are great, keep it clean, very prompt and professional. Also why is it named and classified German?! Maybe i'm uneducated here but it didn't taste German at all! Enjoyed it though. Still would come back though, simply because the food tastes real and clean. It's worth the price for the quality upgrade here in my opinion.

Lamb and beef combo is the best. Juicy, spiced right, never dry-just perfection in every wrap.

Five stars! Berlins' donor sandwiches are legit delicious-always fresh, packed with flavor, and consistent since way before COVID. Never had a bad bite here. Keep killing it!

This is a tea-forward spot that makes all ingredients and toppings fresh from scratch daily. Their most well-known unique topping is the barley popping boba. They use a real-chewy highland barley grain that gives off a nutty, earthy and milkdly sweet pop that makes for a unique texture. The fan-favorite drink is the Mochi Barley Burst which pairs a floral black milk tea with the popping barley and fresh handcrafted mochi. The tea does not have any artificial syrups and uses an organic milk with a bold tea base. The handcrafted mochi is super fun to have with the popping barley because it is pillowy and velvety. Make sure to mix it well together, so you can enjoy the whole drink for all its features. I like the ambiance of the shop. It's a smaller shop with some seating area. Perhaps, it is because they are in their soft opening stages? I cannot comment on the service as I got it DoorDashed. 1. Honey Oat Blended Espresso (3/5) Love the concept of this drink, which combines oat milk, honey and 2 shots of espresso into a blended drink. However, it was way too sweet to be enjoyable. 2. Jin Xuan Oolong Milk Tea (3.5/5) This drink uses Bopomofo's own Jin Xuan oolong tea blend, which is listed to have a delicate floral aroma and a distinct, naturally milky flavor. I definitely tasted the strong tea flavor, but did not taste the floral aroma nor the milky flavor. It seemed watery and over-brewed as it had the bitterness of tea to it. The fresh taro topping was very good; truly fresh taro chunks with the right amount of sweetness to it, not the fake powdery stuff. 3. Egg Salad Bolo Foldover (3.5/5) Think Japanese egg sando, but instead of in a sandwich, the egg salad is served in Bolo bun (aka, pineapple - it's not actually pineapple flavored, just shaped like a pineapple). The egg salad is mixed with their house-made honey mustard mayo and topped off with chives and tomato relish. Sadly, the bolo (pineapple) bun was dry, but at least the egg salad filling part was good. Overall, it's a nice small snack/treat to try, but it's nothing super mind-blowing. 4. Ba-la Matcha (3.5/5) Matcha mixed with guava nectar and layered with lactose free milk. The guava nectar has a nice tropical flavor and was surprisingly not too sweet. The matcha part was so-so. It's definitely not high-quality matcha. I wish the ratio of matcha to milk was more balanced. It felt watered down.

I didn't interact with the staff since there's an iPad kiosk at the counter for ordering. I got the Traditional Oolong Milk Tea and the Peach Fruit Tea, which came out to about $14. Traditional Oolong Milk Tea: Simple, but really enjoyable. I got it at 70% sweetness, and it was perfect. The boba was chewy and delicious. Peach Fruit Tea: This was tasty, and I liked the balance between the peach flavor and the tea. It also came with peach chunks, which were a nice touch. The only downside was that I got it at 70% sweetness, and it was still a little bitter. Overall, I would definitely come back!

Luckily, Yi Fang is one of those spots where parking is rarely an issue. They have their own parking lot, plenty of nearby street parking, and even additional parking near a church close by, which makes visiting much more convenient compared to many other boba shops in LA. The store itself is on the smaller side, with only a few chairs and seating options available. They offer both a self-serve kiosk for quick ordering and a front register if you have questions or prefer ordering with staff assistance. Yi Fang is best known for their fruit teas, which are considered their specialty. Personally, I tend to prefer milk teas, and while the drinks are still good, I found the quality of the grass jelly and boba to feel somewhat inconsistent compared to other boba places I've visited.
