After buying a few pounds of crab at a Duluth grocery store, we stopped by here for them to cook it. They always do a pretty good job and service isn't bad for the regulars, but they do charge 3% when you use a credit card...

Best bbq and dim sum, og location. Fresh dim sum and bbq. Located in grocery food court, best spot in the food court. Return the dishes to them

This is a food counter in a food court in a grocery store. Wonderful pan fried noodles, chow fun, and dim sum. The Dimsum may seem a bit pricey at first but it is huge so seems like a fair price to me. We ordered too much the first time. This place gets very busy on the weekends so seating is a little tough but the food comes quickly and is delicious.

Best BBQ Cantonese Cuisine 來記燒臘 is actually located in the food court of the Great Wall supermarket! It features lots of Cantonese dishes and I recommend it! They have the following: Dim Sum - you order at the counter and they will call you. So you don't have the experience of people walking around with dim sum carts, but the food is good and cheap! Cantonese BBQ - get your Cantonese BBQ fix here! You can order rice plates or a bunch to take home and eat it family style too. Char siu, roast pork, roast duck, soy sauce chicken, etc - you name it! Cantonese dishes - They also serve dishes that aren't just dim sum or Cantonese bbq. Like Beef Ho Fun, Seafood and Vegetable, Stir Fried Fish, etc.

Great BBQ is located inside the Great Wall supermarket. This is our first time trying this space and it did not disappoint. I'll talk about the positive things first: food was delish, portions were generous and it was fresh. There is a sign in the order area noting that orders can take 25-30 minutes here so if you're in a hurry, I would stay away, the line was long also, but we went on a Saturday afternoon so I was expecting that. We picked a live lobster and brought it to cook here. Quick tip is that they can cook the fresh seafood that you get in the market and price it depending on weight. You pick the seafood, pay for it in the cashier (grocery side) then bring your receipt to great bbq. For the lobster dish we paid $24 for the live lobster and another $10 for them to prepare, a deal yes! The style we chose to cook was the ginger sauce. We ordered a few dimsum dishes as pictured and we were pleased with those, the noodle was great also. Ambiance is the one thing I'm not shooting for here when I'm dining here, it's loud, inside a grocery store so it's a hustle and bustle thing. But that's okay, I will gladly take that over the wonderful food. For next time though, I'll probably take this food to go to make it a more pleasurable eating experience for me.

If you're at the super market and crazing some dim sum this is the SPOT! The shumai here is the best I've had. The portion sizes are huge! Im surprised the reviews for this place isn't better. It's not luxury but it won't disappoint when it comes to dim sum.

I had a craving for certain shrimp dim sum dishes, but didn't need the whole dim sum experience. I was by myself and wanted to get something quick to-go. Luckily for me, Best BBQ was on my way home and offers dim sum among other things. Located inside Great Wall Supermarket, Best BBQ is known for Hong Kong BBQ, particularly the BBQ pork and roasted duck. The counter has photos of their offerings and I was able to order easily. I ordered the shrimp rice noodle rolls and har gow (shrimp dumplings). Prices were very reasonable. Within minutes my order was ready and I was on my way to enjoying them at home. I immediately opened the package and started digging in as soon as I walked in the house. Mmm.. It hit the stop and I couldn't be more satisfied!

Hands down - top 5 favorite places to eat in ATL. Located in the Great Wall Supermarket, Best BBQ is one of about 6-7 restaurants you can dine at! If you haven't had Chinese BBQ, seriously run, don't walk! You can choose from a variety of meats including Roasted BBQ Pork, Crispy Roast Pork, Braised Chicken, and Duck - you really can't go wrong with any. I personally always get the roasted BBQ pork (half lean, half fat - trust me on this) and the soy sauce braised chicken which is always tender. The white rice is covered in a sweet/salty soy, and on the side you are served preserved veggies and chicken/veggie soup. The congee is also great here, along with any noodle soups. Honestly, I haven't tried a single thing I haven't liked yet. I feel like this place is one of my best kept secrets, but it's def a spot everyone NEEDS to try!

Date of visit 02/19/2024 After seeing someone online taking live lobster from the nearby GW supermarket to Best BBQ to cook them, I knew I had to try that. After all nothing better than Fresh Lobsters And if there an unusual food adventure in the area, you know I will be there and report on it!! ATMOSPHERE/DECO It is a stand in a food court attached to an Asian supermarket so definitely not fancy or luxurious, but they have tables and chairs, after all what else do you need! SERVICE You order at the counter, and they call you number when your food is ready. No real service to speak of, but they were helpful and nice each time I went back to counter to ask for extra plates, utensils, sauce, etc PRICE Price is very reasonable, we were charge $20 to prepared 6 lbs of lobsters, we also got a BBQ combo with crispy pork and roasted duck for $24. For anyone asking, the live lobsters we got at the GW supermarket were from Canada and $18/lbs FOOD Everything was very good, the crispy pork and roasted duck were cold, but I think that is normal, it was just surprising to me, but had great crust and taste. We had the lobster prepared Scallion, ginger onion style and it was simply delicious We also ordered some Har Gow and Shumai and those were spectacular, on par with the best one I ever had and very large as well, you definitely get a lot of food for the money. MISCELLEANOUS We got there after the rush but from what we can see (based on the dirty plates on the side) it can get very very busy at peak hours. We didn't have to wait long but everything is made fresh, so if you are in a hurry that might not be a good option. We did wait 20 minutes for the dim sum but they were so fresh and delicious we did not mind. To find Best BBQ, you need to enter GW supermarket and it's all the way in the back on the left, last booth of the food court La note de Sebo Atmosphere/Deco 2/5 Service 3/5 Food 4.5/5 Price 5/5 Misc. 3/5 OVERALL 4/5

When we found this place some time ago, we were fairly happy with them: very large portions, wontons that were fairly authentic (but double the diminutive sizes of regular wontons), even if the soup isn't as top-notch as one would expect an excellent bowl of soup noodles to be. Prices are not cheap for a food-court location with no waiter service, but again, the portions are huge. This lates visit, things were not quite up to far: a bit off on both the wonton soup noodles and the fried noodles. I'm hoping they are just having an off-day. Will give it at least another try.

I've been here a few times over the years, and we quite like this place due to its location: it's…read moreright next to a Costco. Outside of that, the dim sum is good. There are some differences to how menu items are made/taste from when I first had it, so I feel as though the chef has most likely changed. It's both good and bad because the menu items with taro aren't quite as nice as before, but other things are either the same or better like the Beef Ho Fun for example. The chicken feet have changed too, but both were good. All the classic items are still basically the same. I liked the pan fried chives dumplings and beef cheung fun here. I can't speak for dinner or how it is on the weekdays, but it's quite busy over the weekends, which is expected for dim sum. It's a large space too, but once it's busy, you'll have to take a number and wait for a table. There's some seating along the side of the entrance to wait, but it may still take awhile. Usually, only one person really has to go and take a number, so if possible, one person should strive to get there earlier.

Royal China - Disappointing Experience…read more We have been coming to Royal China every year as part of our Christmas tradition, and we've always loved their Peking duck. Unfortunately, this year's experience was extremely disappointing. The service was terrible. We waited 40 minutes just to get our drinks, and after placing our food order, we waited another hour and a half with no food arriving. We were repeatedly told that the food was "coming soon," but nothing came. For reference, we ordered very simple dishes -- green beans, cauliflower, and eggplant -- items that should not take over an hour to prepare. Eventually, the duck arrived after an hour and a half, but none of the side dishes came with it. We had to speak to the manager three separate times, and the staff was rude and dismissive throughout the experience. The restaurant is very authentic, and we were clearly in the minority as guests, but that should never justify such poor service. Sadly, our five-year tradition of spending Christmas here was completely ruined. If you decide to visit this restaurant, be aware that the service can be extremely disappointing.

If you go too early, a lot of things won't be made yet and you will have to wait. Seems the later you go on the weekends, the more options they have. If you order pick up, give it about 25 minutes because they get so busy on the weekends. If you're dining in, it isn't always so easy to get a waiter's attention for things. So if you do, just ask for everything you think you'll need at once. Sometimes I just bring extra utensils and stuff with me so I don't have to wait for anyone to come over. I'm that girl that will put a bottle of Ranch in my bag (except it's chili oil or Sambal). They have chili oil at the tables and their chili oil is pretty good. The Canton House on Buford Highway is my family's go-to for authentic Cantonese dim sum in Atlanta…read more The food is always up to expectations each and every visit. Having been at least once every couple months for years, it's our Chinese comfort food as dim sum is meant to be. Although I would recommend arriving at anytime they are open, we find the absolute best time for dim sum is to arrive right at opening on Saturday or Sunday. This time lets us beat the wait, get a great table fast, and the food is super plentiful, hot and fresh out of the kitchen. The chrysanthemum tea is a must have and complements the food as a perfect, tasty, and just sweet enough palate cleanser (although I would prefer to add the rock sugar myself to my tea, they serve it with sugar already inside the pot). For the absolute best pairing with your chrysanthemum tea, make sure to save room for the awesome pineapple buns while supplies last. They were out today and we all collectively cried (will be going back just for the pineapple buns soon...we are just not complete without them!). We love all the dishes, but our absolute favorites (outside of the pineapple buns) are the pork spare ribs with black bean, the beef rice rolls/noodles, shrimp dumplings, and turnip cakes. Add some spicy sauce to the spare ribs and turnip cakes to really set them off! For iced coffee lovers who like it really strong, don't pass up on the iced coffee. It has legs that are strong enough to walk, but completely complements the dim sum with a little extra boost to help you enjoy the day. So, I challenge others to find a better dim sum place in Atlanta. That is why Canton House earns my 5th star and looking forward to getting my pineapple buns (really) soon!

Very good - Beef Chow Fun: A very chewy and bouncy home made flat noodle dish. Savory, salty, and flavorful! Good amount of tender beef too. - Shrimp Balls: Crispy and fried on the outside, yummy, with good big shrimp ball. Yummy classic sweet and sour sauce too. Delicious - Egg Rolls: Good, not too oily, a normal egg roll - Spare ribs: Possibly my favorite dish! Tender, not too chewy, good savory sweet flavor. -- Overall, it's not bad but it's nothing to write home about. My favorite item was probably the spare ribs. The rest were standard in my opinion. However, service is fast since it is dimsum, so perfect to eat when hungry! Also great ambiance for big group parties or hangouts!

There were only 3 other tables enjoying their dinner besides us. We ordered two waters and a plate with roasted pork and honey BBQ pork over rice with bok choy. The menu didn't list a price for the combo, so we asked the server/cashier beforehand, and he let us know it would be $14.95 after tax, which we appreciated. The food came out in about 10-15 minutes, fresh and hot. The roasted pork and honey BBQ pork were both tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced -- not overly salty, not too fatty, just really well-prepared. The honey BBQ pork had a slightly caramelized glaze with a smoky sweetness, while the roasted pork had a nice savory depth and crispy edges. The bok choy was fresh and cooked just right, adding a nice crunch and balance to the plate. The rice soaked up all the juices really well and tied everything together. Even coming in later at night, the service was straightforward and efficient, and the quality of the food definitely stood out. Solid portion size, comforting meal, and definitely worth coming back for if you're craving classic Cantonese-style BBQ. The dish also came with what looked like Chinese broccoli, which added a nice balance to the meal. The portion size was great -- it came in a standard takeout container but was definitely enough for both of us to share and feel full. The BBQ pork was the highlight for me (4/5). It was tender, juicy, and nicely caramelized with that classic sweet-savory glaze. The edges had a slight char that added extra depth, and each bite was flavorful without being overwhelming. The roasted pork, on the other hand, was just okay (2.5/5). While the skin had a bit of crispiness, the meat itself leaned on the tougher side and wasn't as juicy as I'd hoped. Unfortunately, there were quite a few bony pieces, which made it feel like we were getting less actual meat. Flavor-wise, it was a bit underwhelming and didn't have the same richness or satisfying texture as the BBQ pork. One thing that really stood out was the sauce poured over everything -- it was savory, slightly sweet, and tied all the components together really well. I also appreciated that the overall dish wasn't too salty, which made it easier to enjoy without feeling heavy. Service-wise, the cashier was friendly and answered our questions clearly, which made ordering easy. Since it's located in a food court, there was plenty of seating available, and it wasn't busy at all for a Saturday around 5 PM -- a nice, relaxed dining experience. Amazing food, excellent service, and amazing food; it warranted repeating. I just moved back in to town and was excited to have my favorite Cantonese food in Atlanta but honestly, after our meal today, I don't know that I'll be back and I certainly won't be bringing any more of my friends. Service: Everyone was still really kind. But the food came out slowly for how dead they were. We were halfway there of our dishes when I mentioned to the waiter that two more dishes were missing. He spoke with the waiter who took our order and they said they were coming. A half hour later and the dishes still hadn't arrived. I asked again and they apologize profusely and said it would be out shortly. Unfortunately, that's where the niceties ended... Food: Overall, the food was really bad. The best thing about Cantonese food is how complex the flavors are and when there is a good chef, it is my favorite cuisine in the world. That is what BBQ Corner has been in the past...but not anymore. All of the dishes, especially dishes with sauce, were overly sweet and very one note. The eggplant with garlic came with a bright red sauce that had no garlic in it. When I mentioned to the waiter that it was the wrong sauce, she said "No, that is spicy garlic sauce." I have had that dish at this restaurant at least five times and more than 20 times elsewhere. It was the wrong sauce and the sauce wasn't good. She and another waiter spoke to the kitchen and later apologized. Assessment: I think ownership changed and they took their cooks with them. Instead of the lite, complex flavors of Cantonese food of which they were once masters, this meal felt like mediocre Chinese takeout. While the waitstaff is lovely and mistakes happen (I still tipped 30% because it was Christmas), the food just wasn't good enough to warrant a return trip. I'm sad because this place used to be my favorite...one summer a friend and I ate there three times in one week. But things have changed and definitely not for the better.
