The quality of the food exceeded our expectations, both me and my wife felt their Siu Mai, Steamed Spareribs Rice Roll, and Fried Sesame Balls were probably the best we have eaten ... we live in the Bay Area where we had eaten at many dim sum restaurants on a regular basis. The service is also excellent. The servers checked on us consistently to ensure we get our orders promptly and everything is to our liking. The steamed bao had 70% dough and very little pork stuffing. Shrimp Ha Gow. Was the only highlight. Hope they dont change that one! The pork dumpling was very small and even smaller pork stuffing. Maybe 2 inches long! Typically, they are about 3 1/2-4" long. The only reason I am giving 2 stars vs zero, it was freshly made to order. So it came out hot and crispy. Service was 4 stars. They came and checked. Food came out fairly normal timing, considering most were made to order. Pricing was a bit high, but everything is nowadays. It's about time there's a dim sum place near Roseville. The only Chinese restaurant that has genuine dim sum faire, although the location is in Granite Bay it is a lot closer than driving to South Sacramento. Seating is limited due to the size but they manage to fit 3 large round tables for seating 8; the remaining tables seat 4. Their pork dumplings or siumai are good size, 4 per order. The shrimp dumplings are also good. This dim sum comfort food is tasty and food service is very good. If you have a large group I would call first to make sure they can seat you together. This place is so good. The food is fresh and tasted amazing, the portions large, and most of all the service was fast and friendly. The price point is reasonable. I'm a big fan of supporting locally owned establishments. The whole eating experience here is charming and I love how the owner Lina, made us feel like we were home. The air conditioner was out, but there was a large cooling fan that made us comfortable since the heat was 110F outside. The owner has always been super welcoming to my family and I. My girlfriend and my son are not the most experienced with Chinese cuisine, and the owner made sure to be very accommodating and flexible with them. She allowed them to try a whole bunch of dishes they have never tried before and they had a lot of fun trying a whole bunch of new dishes. The food their is very tasty and flavorful, and their service is terrific. They always try their best to get everything to us on time no matter how busy they are. The ambiance is very warming too because the owner always treats every customer the same way, no matter if you are new or a regular. Just tried this place and left disappointed. I'm always down for a dim sum place and supporting local business but this is more of a Chinese restaurant than your typical dim sum place. Everything we ordered (chicken feet, shrimp, dumplings, shumai, lotus wrapped sticky rice, golden shrimp rolls) they were either MEH or BLEH because you can tell it was all re-steamed, not freshly made at all. One older lady (owner?) talked to this customer non-stop, giving him free food, while completing ignoring us. The younger waitress argued with us about our drink and food order more than once . She ruined the dining experience. The owner could have intervened several times but keep chatting away. It took so long to get the bull back after submitting my card that we went to ask for the card back to pay cash. She had run it but didn't give it to us. She was chatting with the food delivery guy. I'm so excited to find this dim sum place closer to my house, came in during lunch and it was pretty full, we were told to sit wherever we wanted to, the staffs were attentive and have good attitude when serving customers, made our first experience awesome. Came with my whole family and the food were amazing! All dim sum we ordered were fresh and phenomenal,also came out pretty quick, we didn't wait too long even there is a lot people. We also ordered some regular dishes were pretty good too. I was hesitant going to a dim sum place in a primarily Caucasian area (sorry, but I was), but this place had the BEST steamed bbq pork buns. Everything we ordered was amazing. The flavor was on point and not lacking anything. There was 2 ladies running the front of the house. What a fine! My wife and I drove all the way from Lincoln not knowing what to expect. This was truly excellent theme song. They were very friendly and the four dishes we had were amazing. What can I say, Best Dim Sum is my favorite spot and I tend to go here at least once a week. The owner Lina is always heavily invested in making sure all of her customers are satisfied. I see her walking around and talking to all her regulars and new customers like she's best friends with them. Pretty tasty and our little guy liked it. - General Chicken: normally like it spicy but this had a nice mild flavor. Loved that it was just crispy chicken and sauce. Did a pick up order, unfortunately I did not get my soup so had to come back. That was hot and sour soup which tasted like it was missing some ingredients and was neither hot (spice) nor sour. Perhaps the dim sum is the star but the food we ordered was not good. The Mongolian beef was chewy to the point of being nearly inedible, and we were surprised. The sesame chicken was like a sweet and sour chicken with some soy sauce added and sprinkled sesame seeds. It was not what I was expecting. The orange chicken tasted best but the portion we got was about half of the other two so felt like we were shorted. The egg rolls were weird tasting and the insides were mushy not sure what went wrong but wrong it was. We ordered shumai, fried shrimp balls, beef chow fun, bean curd skin roll, and my husband's favorite shrimp chive dumplings. My husband asked the owner to pan-fry the shrimp chive dumplings. The owner was happy to do that for us. It was the best shrimp chive dumpling ever we tried. Every dim sum we tried came out hot and so delicious. The food that came out fast were ones that were in the heated cabinet such as the egg tart. We tried several rice rolls and they were delicious. We excited got in the car, and went to try out this place. We were fortunate to arrive before the rush so we received orders pretty quickly. We tried several dim sums and they were great! Totally hit the spot. Siomai was my fave. Had to get a 2nd order They were all flavorful and served hot. The dim sum didn't disappoint. However, the non-dim sum didn't quite cut it for us. We ordered the salt & pepper spare ribs and fried rice. They weren't that great. The spare ribs barely had any meat and had thick breading. My son wasn't too thrilled. The fried rice was pedestrian but was very oily, so nothing to write home about. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely visit again. read more

Even though it doesn't have an extensive dim sum range, the basics are covered very well. The taste is delicious and high quality. Hidden Gem for dim sum in the burbs. The food here is delicious and authentic. The wait staff and owner are Chinese, and I wish I had kept up on my Mandarin so that I could properly express my happiness with their food. The ambiance is a throw back to the '70s where there's a huge mirror on one wall to make the narrow space seem larger. The decor brings back memories of childhood adventures to Chinatown for delicious dim sum. All this lends an authentic feeling to the overall experience. There's no mish-mash of fusion here, just traditional tasty Chinese food. We ordered a variety of dishes. Everything came out piping hot, albeit one dish at a time. Fortunately, we were not in a hurry so we could savor and fully appreciate each bite. Our favorite dishes were the turnip cakes (the best we've had in the States), the egg tarts (just like my beloved Grandma used to make), and the fried pork dumplings (not always on the menu at other restaurants). We also ordered beef chow fun to take home for dinner. The noodles were bouncy and chewy and plentiful. The sauce was on the lighter side which is perfect for us.
