I decided to get the islander açaí bowl and paid $1.00 extra for hemp seeds. This is what I got not even a teaspoon...I got a few sprinkles. The first thought I had was...is this a joke lol I wasn't even able to talk to anyone up front because they were busy and not very helpful. I won't ever be buying an açaí bowl from this place. also I'm glad I asked for the "granola" on the side. I'm really disappointed with my experience at Better Buzz Coffee - San Clemente today. I placed my drink order about 10 minutes in advance through mobile ordering, but ended up waiting a total of 30 minutes just to receive it. I visit this location daily, so I recognized that one of the workers appeared to be new. After waiting a while, I politely asked about my order and gave my name. She responded with a rude look and said she would get it. I then waited another 10 minutes with no update, so I went back and asked again, repeating my name. At that point, I was understandably frustrated after such a long wait for a mobile order. I finally received my drink after about 30 minutes. As I was walking out of the store, I heard the same new worker mock my name. That was honestly the most upsetting part of the experience. As a loyal customer who regularly spends my hard-earned money on these expensive drinks, I expect respectful treatment and basic professionalism. The way this situation was handled was not appropriate, and I hope management takes this feedback seriously. read more

better buzz san clemente is my favorite location! everytime i visit, the employees are very friendly & customer service oriented. during my most recent visit, the barista was very nice and made my drink perfect. also, the barista asked if i would like a straw or napkins, which many other coffee shops forget to do. i really appreciated this detail. another plus is that since i'm a rewards member, i frequently receive promos and earn points every visit. i will definitely keep coming back to the san clemente location! :) read more

Really excited they opened this one. I usually would have to drive to San Diego for this coffee chain. I love their honey latter and pesto sandwiches. I was able to get a gingerbread latte and a free tumbler for their opening day. It was very clean and they had hats, shirts, cups and etc available to buy. The people were helpful and kind. Excellent customer service and I ordered the Lavender Tea Latte it was made to perfection...so so good!

We were so excited to try this location since we had been to a couple of others and this one did not disappoint! The baristas were so friendly and answered all of our questions and gave some recommendations too. The ham and Swiss croissant is my go-to breakfast item. It's buttery and flaky and the only problem is everyone wanted to try it too so I had to go back for another. Super cute atmosphere with fun neon signs and tile work (which is to be expected from them). Not a ton of seating inside which is a little bit of a bummer but they had a lot more tables outside and the weather was nice so we took advantage of that and a tiny bit of ocean view. For $10 I'd expect a bit more than one slice of turkey and a tiny bit of mozzarella on my turkey pesto. Honestly a pretty disappointing experience:( this was one of my favorite spots, I will say the drinks are still bomb but what kinda corners are we trying to cut with the food...gonna be making these from home from now on. read more

COffee is ok but NEVER hot. I specifically ask. for hot (most. times. extra hot because I know they will not make it hot) and they still give you tepid coffee. plenty of other coffee places in san clemente that will give you a complete cup and make it hot. Terrible value!! read more

The coffee roast dark, has that heavy Bean flavor and caffeine kick similar to but better than the evil empires coffee. This is my new go to for sure. However I drink only black coffee. I learned in college from somebody if you add cream or sugars you're never going to be happy because nobody's going to have the same additives or options at every place and you going to be disappointed. That's why black coffee rocks and this coffee is up in the top nine out of 10. The better breakfast sandwich is fantastic it's got crunchy bacon so good, a real egg that's actually fried not microwaved. At least it tastes that way looks that way and I be a fool if I was wrong, I hope I'm not. The bun is fresh the spinach layer is healthy come on guys hats off you got to try this. Not sure if the owners or managers have utilized their coffee cups since 2002 or what the deal is but it's really unenjoyable to drink hot coffee or tea out of a cup that has an insecure lid and spills all over the place. It's either that or your baristas are straight up sloppy, don't put the lids on correct and over fill the cups so the drink is spouting out the lip. It's gross read more

Since my initial review/question was removed because it was reported by the yelp community, I'll try this again According to the email this is how a yelp question should read -"The best questions are about customer-facing elements of the business, which can result in answers helpful to others." So I will opt not to ask a question and instead share my experience. I was there last Saturday at 4 pm and ordered a dark roast, only to be told they are out of dark roast. Apparently even though there were 4 hours left of their store being open they wouldn't be brewing more. I thought that was worth sharing. You are a coffee place. Saying you are out coffee with 4 hours to go before the place actually closes. Customer experience was lack luster. read more
