First time here and as soon as we are about to be seated, the experience is not great. We asked for a table for 6 and the waiter was going to seat us in a table for 8. One of the other severs starts speaking Spanish letting our waiter know that they had a party and to be seated somewhere else. Then she tells us, "why don't you guys seat over there (pointing at a corner table)" Super rude, and not knowing we speak Spanish. She could have been polite about.... Went to Betto's Bistro for father's day and made a reservation for 5 people the day before. We got seated right away and service in general is great! The food was a little overpriced in my opinion but still a good place to go for brunch. I got a sandwich but I regretted not getting the lobster fettuccine because that looked and tasted creamy and delicious! The drinks are visually appealing and yummy, too! Really good! We went to this place last weekend, on a whim, after seeing a friend's post about how good it was. Since it was Saturday, they had brunch. The place wasn't super busy (it was about 12:30), so we were a bit surprised when we were asked if we had reservations. There were just 2 of us, we did not, and they offered us a choice of 3 tables. Once we were seated, we were given the special brunch menu, a regular menu, and a drinks menu. Holy wow! So many choices and options! I had the most delicious "steak hash"! It was cubes of deliciously cooked steak, with perfectly cooked potatoes, carmelized onions, and some perfectly cooked peppers. I had asked for scrambled eggs instead of poached, and my eggs were perfect. SO good! My husband had the Chicken Parmigiana sandwich. It. was. beyond. amazing. OMG!!!! Delicious! He had salad instead of fries-- the salad was big! Overall, it was a good meal and we'll go back and try it a second time. I've eaten at Betto's 4 times. The first time was in July 2020. I ate at the restaurant on the patio. Ordered Chicken Marsala. It was great! The chicken was so tender I could cut it with my fork. Tasted delish! I ordered to go meals twice during the month of August, One order of Chicken Marsala and the other was Beef Stroganoff; both were very good. Today, September 10, 2020 I ordered Chicken Marsala to go. The vegetables were very good; but the meat was awful! If it was chicken, it was very old. The meat was so tough that I couldn't eat it. Threw the meat away. I was going to call the restaurant and ask them what happened; but my husband didn't want me to complain, so I'm writing a yelp review. What's with the three stars?!? We had lunch here on Easter and had a fantastic time. They were busy.. packed.. and we had great service. Food was excellent, as always. We came here more regularly when it was under different management/ownership, or whatever. It has been consistently excellent. I had a greek salad with grilled chicken which was outstanding. Met a relative for Sunday brunch. Portions are huge. Brunch is offered on Saturday and Sunday and the menu changes weekly. The cost is $13.99 and your brunch choice also comes with two sides. We had the crab cake benedict which is a crab cake with hollandaise sauce with your choice of egg, California benedict which comes with chicken apple sausage and avocado, the special hash which is ham hock and the chicken and bacon waffle. We just moved to the area and this was our first taste of dining/outing experience in Morgan Hill. I'm so disappointed. We came in for lunch and had to wait for 15 min for them to even take our drink order and another 20 to receive our drinks. They had one server working every table, there were tables everywhere that needed bussed/cleared off/cleaned so he was trying to take care of all of us while clearing off the tables bc the two other ladies working there just stood talking in the back. We were literally sitting there staring at them chatting behind the bar while we were waiting for our drinks and our poor waiter was running around trying to brew coffee, prepare drinks for 5 tables, run checks for customers ready to check out and bussing/clearing off tables. We ate right next to a table that had plates of eaten food and garbage all over it and no one came to clean it up, it was still dirty when we left. The owner or manager was there giving attention to a very specific table bc maybe he knew them? I don't know, not sure, but he stood there talking to them and laughing and making sure they received every possible attention while he has multiple tables just sitting there waiting to be served. On top of that, we had the calamari for an appetizer and it tasted frozen, as did my chicken sandwich and my fries tasted like they were cooked yesterday and then reheated. We will certainly never be back, I'm only giving them two stars bc our server was working so hard he was sweating and he kept a friendly and upbeat attitude. We felt really bad for him. Every time I come here the food is really good and everyone is really friendly. I literally tried everything from appetizers, entrees, soups, pastas,drinks, and deserts. The price is very fair for the quality of food. The seafood they have here is also very fresh with is a must for me always! Another great thing is that they have a tone of amazing options and specials! Also, Betto's Bistro has a separate room for big private gatherings and celebrations, but only for big party's of 10+ so if you have a lot of friends or family this place is perfect. read more

I am very surprised this place only has 3 stars.. It was fantastic!!! I just came here last week for a surprise brunch with girlfriends. We got the room in the back to ourselves. Everyone in our party had no complaints about their food. They have a large brunch and lunch selection. I ended up getting the French toast, eggs and ham. It was delicious! Came in lunch time on a Friday a while back. Just me...Parked in the back and walk in for lunch. Most table were empty and there was only two occupied tables but no server in sight. Walked into the restaurant and a man from the kitchen tell me to wait a little. A minute later he comes out and he sat me near the entrance of the restaurant. He says the menu is on the wall or I can scan for one. I have been here before for my birthday so I knew exactly what I want. I order the lobster prawn mufada and a cup of water. Sat there for 5 mins, the same man walked out with a small loaf of bread and butter and my cup of water. Usually before I eat I would use my mini sanitizer before grubbing. Realized that I forgot my sanitizer in my car and I told the man that I am running to my car to get it (pointed towards my car which was so close to the eating area in the back). He rudely commented just as long as you come back. I was shocked and very annoyed by his comment. Went to my car got the sanitizer and ate a little bread with butter. My lobster prawn mufada came out after 8 mins later. While eating the same man would check to see if I was still at my table several times. The mufada was a little salty but I manage to finish 1/2 and boxed up the other 1/2. Finished my meal and left with a unpleasant feeling. First and last time here. From the time we opened the door, it had a terrible smell with no one in the restaurant. That should have been our first clue. We chose not to leave since we were meeting friends here. We arrived early with no attention from the staff considering it was after 12 on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered a French Dip sandwich and although the bread and fries were great, there was not a lot of meat inside the sandwich and what was in there was mostly tough and dry. When our table was being cleared I mentioned that most of the meat in my sandwich was inedible and the worker said they had been having a hard time getting there usual meat. Obviously the party was booked in advanced so that is no excuse for being under staff. They ran out of menu so we had to wait for menu to be available. It took 2 hours to get our food and the food was horrible. I ordered the special of the day. I'm afraid to see what the rest of the menu was like. My mother in law and I have decided to branch out and try some different restaurants in MH. Today we had a late lunch at Betto's. We were seated quickly outside and then we waited. It was after the lunch rush (and a Monday) so there weren't too many patrons including us, but they only had 2 servers. The waiters did their best to accommodate us by get our drink and food orders going but it still took a bit of time. The raspberry lemon drops were delicious - we highly recommend them. We had sandwiches and fries and they were good. Nothing special but good quality and taste. If the service had been more efficient it would have made the experience better overall. read more
