    Chicken and Waffles Benedict
    John L.

Went to Betto's for brunch this past Saturday afternoon. Betto's located in the growing downtown Morgan Hill area. We arrived just before the lunch rush. They have so many good choices on their menu, but I decided to get the Chicken and Waffles Benedict. This was really good. The chicken was cooked perfectly. It had a great crunch and juicy in the middle. It came with two sides, so I got Chicken Apple Sausage and tomatoes. As you can see from my picture of what I ordered, the portions here are huge. Even though it was a huge portion, I still did not feel overstuffed because they cook their food with high quality of ingredients. The service the very good and this restaurant is perfect for a brunch or even a date night. I will definitely be back when I am in the Morgan Hill area.

The restaurant was very clean and welcoming when we tried it for the first time. The food and drinks were very delicious and we enjoyed our dinner. The waiter always made sure to come by our table as well to check on us. The drinks were so good!! Not pictured is the Cucumber Jalapeño Margarita which was so delicious!! The Mango Margarita was also good! We enjoyed this restaurant for our first time trying it out. Will be back to try other stuff on the menu.

This place was super hit or miss for us. We ordered what the menu called fresh squeezed orange juice, and unfortunately that's not what we were given. Some of the food was great (Brie French toast, scrambled eggs) other things weren't cooked right (grapefruit brûlée, brussel sprout hash) Our server was not polite and also brought us our orange juice with lipstick stains on the glass. This was my first time going here and I wouldn't want to go back. It's unfortunate because the menu is amazing.

We haven't been here since it opened, which has been a while! I was pleasantly surprised that the menu changed and it turned out good. We were seated quickly and there wasn't a long wait to get service. It was a little busy in the restaurant but it's not large so that is to be expected at times. The food was cooked nicely and we enjoyed it all! The only issue was it's more on the pricier side which seems to becoming more and more common.

Great brunch spot on the weekends. We went once at 8:30am on a Sunday and had the whole place to ourselves. Service was pleasant and quick. Each brunch entree comes with two sides which always leaves me with left overs. Great value!

Eggplant parm. No eggplant basically lol

A family go-to for over 30 birthday events. First time going as a couple. 8:15 pm on a Thursday and no other guests. Server was attentive and food had flavor. Ordered the eggplant parm. There was literally no eggplant and what there was had no breading. See pic. The lady said that's the portion cut now. $25 for cheese, 15 green beans and 12 pesto noodles. My partners bolognese spaghetti was 5/5 and had tons of meat. Maybe they ran out of eggplant to be honest..

We were searching for a place to have brunch on Sunday and after driving by we chose Betto's. The 3.5 stars didn't say us after seeing the food photos and we weren't disappointed! The service was a little slow but it was a Sunday on a holiday weekend and lots of places were closed so we were thankful regardless of the slowness. I ordered an extra spicy Bloody Maria (tequila instead of vodka) - forgot to take a photo. It was delish! Everyone at the table loved their food and we're excited to come back for dinner as the menu looks fabulous! I would recommend this restaurant based on our experience. Glad we skipped LG on the corner.

Nestled in a warm and inviting atmosphere, this cozy restaurant delivers a great dining experience. Our friendly waitress made the evening even more enjoyable. Her attentiveness and genuine hospitality added a personal touch, making us feel truly welcome. There were 2 waitresses working. Ours was definitely the friendly one. I felt lucky to be seated in her section. The darker-haired one who was younger didn't seem happy. I didn't see her smile even with her own tables that could have been because I was busy enjoying myself. I asked her if we could place an order for an appetizer (since we had already placed in our food order) she answered VERY curtly to ask our own waitress, without stopping. However, she told our waitress to help us & ours came & asked. Maybe she had a bad day, but it was very noticeable. If you read my reviews, I like to talk about the positivity of my experience, but this young lady stood out in a very sweet, soft, comfortable cozy environment on a rainy Saturday night where everyone was very relaxed & enjoying themselves. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the wild-caught grilled salmon. Cooked to perfection, the salmon had a beautifully crisp exterior while remaining tender and flaky inside. The fresh, natural flavors were enhanced with just the right amount of seasoning, allowing the quality of the fish to shine through. Paired with a well-balanced side of seasonal vegetables and a light, flavorful sauce, it was a dish I'd gladly return for. The restaurant itself exudes comfort, warm décor, and a relaxed ambiance perfect for a casual night out or a special occasion. Whether you're looking for a quiet dinner spot or a place to enjoy a hearty, well-prepared meal, this restaurant is a fantastic choice. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu!

We got seated outside and immediately got the bread with garlic and olive oil. It was delicious! We ordered the calamari as an appetizer and the portion was decent. The sauces were both spicy which we loved! If you're not a spicy person, may not enjoy them. The calamari had an even ratio of rings and tentacles. The breading was light and the calamari tasted delicious and fresh. I decided to go with the Fettuccine al Pescatore and I was blown away by everything about this dish. The pasta was delicious and a very generous portion. The sauce was amazing with a spicy kick. The seafood was a generous amount and tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. As I was enjoying this meal, I looked to my husband and said "this is one of the best meals I've ever had!" My husband got the ribeye steak and it was over cooked. He didn't enjoy it and complained quite a bit as he ate it. I told him to send it back but he just ate it. It took a while to get the server to come back to give us the check. We had to chase him inside the restaurant to pay. Ambiance is very laid back. Small indoor seating space but felt stuffy. Outside seating space with heaters. Outdoor seating was nice especially with nice weather. Saw a lot of locals coming to the spot. I will be coming back to enjoy another delicious meal.

The Rotelle di Parma was very rich, with the abundant cheese. Service was ok. When mentioned a lobster ravioli may be out, it was already out awhile ago! The service was fantastic, glasses constantly being refilled, asked us if we wanted more bread and butter and our server made some great recommendations "5 Stars" The Food: #1. They gave us 2 nice warm bread rolls with a room temperature salted butter cube. The bread at first tasted salty but then my palate caught up and oh snap! this bread was good!! 5 Stars! #2. The server recommended the beef Wellington. "I ordered it med rare, it came to me med rare" it comes with mashed potatoes and longstem broccoli with cherry tomatoes, and a wine/vinegar reduction for the Wellington. The broccoli had a nice crispness to it and were seasoned perfectly, the cherry tomatoes added some brightness. The mashed potatoes were silky smooth and paired perfectly with the Wellington. NOW THE BEEF WELLINGTON: OH MY .....GOSH!!! My eyes rolled back into my head, it was so good!! The beef was as soft as butter, I could have used a butter knife to cut it (not kidding) and it melted in my mouth. The seasoning with the dough and the spinach with the mushrooms inside nearly caused a wet dream (if you get my point) "and don't even get me started on their reduction sauce for the Wellington!" The waiter walked up to me and smiled and said "and I quote"... gives you goosebumps, right? Oh he knew, HE KNEW!! 5++++ Stars! #3. Wifey ordered the Grilled Salmon salad. She ate the Salmon so fast that I barely had a chance to taste it. She said she really liked it, now I did get a chance to taste the salad and I must say that it was so good that it could have been a stand alone dish. Again 5 Stars. #4. And for dessert we had tiramisu. It came plated beautifully with a raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, whipped cream, and a beautiful orchid flower. The flavor while not the best I've had was still pretty darn good 4 Stars. Overall food and dining experience at the restaurant easily hits 5 stars! The host booked the entire outside patio area, reserving about 15 tables, the back room for serving food, and space for a live singer and dancing. It was absolutely stunning. The restaurant allowed the host to set up a table for decorations and gifts, with custom decorations on each table too. There is a separate entrance for the outside patio that leads directly to the parking lot. This was nice because it made us feel separated from the rest of the restaurant. The patio area is gorgeous. There are grape leaves and vines covering the walls and ceiling. Even when it's sunny out, the plants provide a nice cover that keeps it shady and cool in there. There is also a pretty fountain where you can see birds taking a bath. It is very picturesque. The patio connects to the ballroom, bar, and restaurant if you need to access any of those things. For this event, the back banquet room was used for the food warmers for buffet-style serving. The entrees were pot roast, chicken marsala, and salmon Genovese. The sides were vegetables, mashed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms and bread. They had an employee carving the meat and serving it for the guests. I was unfortunately a bit disappointed with the food. To me, it all tasted quite bland and flavorless. The meat was tender, but lacked a distinct flavor. The vegetables seemed a little undercooked. There was also a spread of appetizers and drinks set out in the dining area (potstickers, teriyaki meatballs, iced tea, lemon water, and lemonade). I was also not pleased by these. The potstickers were alright - a little spicy and tangy. The meatballs were nice and plump, but I did not enjoy the sauce. The drinks were awful. The lemons used in the tea and water tasted almost rancid. The lemonade tasted like a lemon-scented cleaner. It was clearly made with some sort of powdered flavoring that tasted pretty nasty. For dessert, they served tiramisu and ice cream (spumoni maybe?). The tiramisu was delicious. It was incredibly soft and fluffy with a rich flavor. The service was very impressive here. Servers came frequently to clear dishes and bar glasses. They catered to requests well and brought the dessert plates quickly. They were friendly and served the large party of around 90 people efficiently. I would recommend Mama Mia as a party venue but with the caution that the food served (at least for this specific menu) could be improved.

We drove almost 3 hours to visit while spending the day in the area, and honestly, we would've rather grabbed fast food instead. What made it worse was that we were hoping to treat our mom to a nice meal, but all of us ended up disliking the food. The appetizer plates we were first given were visibly dirty, so we had to ask for clean replacements right away. A few people in our group ordered the loaded clam chowder since we'd seen so many positive reviews online, but it was extremely underwhelming. The seafood tasted undercooked and the soup itself had barely any flavor. The wait time was also frustrating. We received appetizers fairly quickly, but waited almost an hour and a half for our entrees. During that time, staff kept coming by offering extra bread and refills we didn't ask for, which honestly felt more like an attempt to make up for the long delay. Meanwhile, several larger parties that arrived after us were served their meals before we were, even though our group was only 5 people. What also made the experience uncomfortable was that once our food finally arrived, we felt rushed to leave. After waiting, staff were already trying to clear plates while some of us were still eating, which felt unfair considering the delay was completely out of our control. By the time the food finally arrived, the quality just did not justify the wait. Overall, it was a very disappointing Mother's Day experience, especially after driving so far. Sadly, we won't be returning.
