I went into this location 6:30 this Saturday and I heard lady behind the counter say oh no and I said doordash picking up an order oh she said so she sent me this tall white dude with gray hair he wouldn't get the order he said I need to see your ID to make sure you're not still in this from us what I said I'm older than you are so I went out to my car got my ID came back in and he had put it back on the shelf so then they gave me some young kid in his 20s to help me and he gave it to me and said you want me to keep the paper no give me the receipt to give to the customer and then he said well go ahead and take that out of here so we don't think you're stealing from us that's straight up racist that is a racist store and should not be in the BevMo Network and if you're a person of color be ready when you go in there so I put the order in the car and went back in there and see if they say anything just to see like I'm going back into this racist lunch counter and guess what they just stood there and stared at me very racist read more

5 cent wine sale! There's a variety of different wines on sale. However, most are $15 and up. This is a good way for you to try some higher priced stuff for half! Scotch selection is decent. This location is on the smaller side compared to other BevMo's. This one is hidden in the back of the shopping center. So enter on 2nd instead of PCH. read more

That 5¢ wine sale is a pretty good deal. Most of the wineries were unknown to me, so I did a little research before heading over to purchase my fair share of wine. They didnt have the spanish Tempranillo I was hoping to get so I grabbed a Kim Crawford Chardonnay and a 2006 Petite Sirah. All in all there must be 30+ different wines that are part of the 5¢ sale. Prices ranging from 5.99 to 60+. The website is helpful in finding out quantities at each store so check it first if youre looking for something in particular. The guys working there helped as much as they could in trying to find that one bottle I was looking for... They also didnt have any of the Anchor Steam Holiday brew. Told me to try back in a week. Parking is good, right in front of the store. They gave me a new BevMo card so I can get good discounts from now on. read more

A great place to find a wide selection of wine from the world at incredibly affordable prices. Sometimes it's hit or miss with the quality, but that goes for vino any place you buy it, taste unknown. I specifically went to BevMo looking for a orange flavored vodka to give as a birthday gift. I found an orange vanilla concoction from Voli locked up in a plastic cage at a reasonable price. It took me a few minutes to find someone to free said Voli from its prison, but the clerk did notice that the display bottle was scratched and found an undamaged version for me. I like the selection of everything available at BevMo. Lots of shiny objects and things I could ALWAYS find a use for, unlike shopping at Big Snots or FOB China crap stores. Booze wears well in almost all the right occasions. I wish there was a BevMo a little closer to me with a less crowded parking lot and erratic drivers. I know that other locations have greater selections and I should frequent them more often. It's a happy place for those of us who like to drink. Went in for a look-see to kill some time and left with a case of wine and a slight buzz. Picked out 6 choice bottles- they were featuring 90point wines for under $20- and realized they were tasting at the back of the store. A 6 wine flight for $5. Fun stuff. The other customers were well drunk wino's and I got schooled on Temecula wineries. The staff guys are young but knowledgeable (at least of their stock) and made shopping for wine a party! They ask good questions to get a feel for what the customers like and give great recommendations. So I ended up with another 6 bottles. A case of wine for $145, not bad. I could have spent more but kept my price point under $20- of which they have a tremendous selection. I'm not sure that their prices are any better than other shops, but they're at least comparable and BevMo often has specials. For what, 4 or 5 bucks you get to taste 6 decently filled wines or beers. Today I ordered several cases of wine on-line. One of my selections only had three bottles left in the store and it was on the five cent sale. I immediately received a phone call from an employee named Amy. Amy Told me that since I had only purchased three bottles the third bottle would not apply to the sale. This employee asked if I wanted to purchase another bottle on the five cent sale so I could receivethe discount. This was an amazing customer service experience. Purchased some Deschutes - The Abyss off of the website and went in to pick it up. I walked up tot he service counter and the woman told me that somebody just tried to call me and tell me that what the website said was in stock, what I had ordered, and what I had already paid for... was out of stock. She then proceeded to help somebody else... for nearly 10 minutes. There was no butting in. This other customer had apparently ordered a lot more than I had, so he gets preferential treatment. Finally she gets back to me and goes through the process to cancel my order and reverse the charges on my card. Thanks blonde girl at the service counter. read more

We are huge mystery box fans. The first time we came to this location they were out, however an employee was amazing and created us one. A+ service and it was an amazing box, lots of variety and beers we had never tried. We came in yesterday, and were so excited to find one. Came home, opened it, and it was half full of non alcoholic beer. Slipping one or two in is funny, we would have had lots of laughs with that. But half.... come on. And the other half was only 3 kinds of beer, no variety. Sadly we will not be getting mystery boxes from this location again. read more

This BevMo location is handy as it is a slight detour on the way home from work for me. This location is hard to spot from the street, you almost wouldn't know it's there. There is ample parking, which is surprising since there is a Trader Joes in the same area. The store is smaller than the other BevMo's I've been in, making the aisles somewhat tight , especially when pushing around a shopping cart. This location also carries a brand of beer that I've not seen at other locations. Like all other BevMo's they have a wide selection at awesome prices. read more

Wasn't greeted nor was I offered any assistance (not that I needed it, but still) Everyone stood in the front and shot the metaphorical feces as I strolled through the store. Product was dusty and new unpacked merchandise literally cluttered the aisles. When I finally made my three rights and a left through the smallest store ever, the cashier didn't give a semblance of a greeting to me. My total was about $60 (which is the average I spend on alcohol- thank you for the judgment) I handed her my money and in return she put my change on the counter AND SLID IT TO ME (guess I have Zika AND Ebola??) she proceeded to bag my items and place it next to the counter. Given the general stank of all things cherry (i.e., cherry cough medicine, cherry Chapstick, cherry-flavored edible underpants, anal lubricant, and condoms--that's right, I've tasted them all, bitch), you may be skeptical about introducing yourself to yet another product touting the good name of the cherry. But don't count this one out just yet, mis amigos! After a recent visit to the fertile soil of Cherryland, USA (or, um, Door County, Wisconsin), I was nudged (a little forcibly, but I don't want to get into that right now) into giving this beverage a try by all the voices in my head (I think I need psychiatric help, seriously!), and freak it!, what a discovery! I mean, if I ever lose my virginity, I doubt the experience will come anywhere close to how it feels to drink this illustrious cider (but wait... didn't you say up there?... all those adult-oriented items?... hey, come on now, etcetera)--because all in all, it's exactly like drinking a cherry pie! And the best news is a few days ago I stumbled across this very cider at Bevmo in Long Beach. I don't know if this means the cider has infiltrated other parts of the globe (we can only hope), but I strongly urge y'all to go forth, immediately, and seek it out at all costs (and I mean all costs, people!: fiscal, emotional, physical, whatever it takes--it's just that good!)! read more

Incredibly poor process for providing liquor availability. I know Blantons is hard to come by, so I asked one of the managers the best process. I set up the mobile alert, and purchased minutes after receiving an alert. Confirmation of purchase was sent. I then receive an email communicating that my order was cancelled. I hop on the phone and come to find out that the mobile alerts come out at night??? Not for me. Other people's orders placed, zero inventory left. Doesn't help at all that employees have admitted setting bottles aside for themselves whenever it comes in. Maybe it's just this location, but I doubt it. On principal alone, I will not shop here anymore. read more

Ohhhh BevMo, If you only knew how much I love you...Seriosuly what is there not love about an establishment that has every single type of delicious alcoholic beverage you want. Beers you never heard of coming from far far away lands. Wines with names i cant even pronounce even when I'm sober. Snacks, glass wear, Mixers etc etc anything that has to do with alcohol you better believe BevMo has all bases covered. Employees are F ing great and knowledgeable on almost every product they carry, and if they don't know they will find someone who does. I like their selection of Beers and Wine. One of my co-workers gave me a gift card to BevMo, so I'm like sure why not use it. I get my drinks that I want to purchase...and the cashier, that cashier gave me a horrible experience overall. Before she rings me up, she receives a phone call from one of her fellow co-workers that someone called for her. And it was weird because for the first time ever, my ENTIRE PARTY got card, not just the person buying the alcohol. It's not that it was an issue for us, all of us were 21+ years old. But correct me if I'm wrong, aren't you suppose to only card the person purchasing the alcohol?! Since when were as there an age-requirement to enter BevMo?!? I've been to a BevMo (not this location) before and they did not card the entire party. She rings me up, asks for my BevMo card. I don't have my BevMo membership card, but I know the phone number. I gave her my phone number clearly...and it doesn't show up as a membership. She's off by one number (her mistake, not ours)...and she's like "c'mon now girls get it together." Why do we need to get it together if your dumb ass entered the wrong number?!? She then proceeds to converse with the customer after us about some wine she drank the other night, before she completes our transaction. Thanks lady, you have such great customer service (NOT!). You belittled me and my party. Because of you, I will never go back to this BevMo again, even if I receive a gift card. Sometimes I wonder where I would spend my very last dollar. My inner child screams Disneyland, my sweet tooth aches for Frosted Cupcakery, and my inner lush slurs BevMo! BevMo and I have been long time friends. Funny to say, but I don't remember much since we met...ha ha ha. There is such great variety at BevMo....they have a huge selection of vodka brands, vodka flavors, and vodka qualities...one can buy an expensive vanilla vodka or a cheap grape vodka and every combination in between. Their beer section makes me want to try one of each and with a lot of the micro-brews you CAN! I have tried so many different beers from BevMo over the years and I credit them for helping narrow down the palate of flavors that I like and don't like. If you drink Sailor Jerry rum, don't buy the handle size anywhere else. It is almost always $19.99 for the 1.75mL size...it's unbeatable! I know because I have looked. $1 beer tasting on Fridays (starts at 3pm)! Yes! They'll let you sample 5-6 different beers and let you go back to resample some. This location is the tiniest Bev Mo I've ever visited. Subsequently, they have worst selection. I'm not a huge fan of Bev Mo in general and this store in particular. I find Bev Mo prices higher than most places where I buy wine. Still, I am club member and some deals can be found during their 5 cent sales. I will say that the staff is usually friendly and helpful, with the exception of the young woman who wouldn't let me take a few boxes out of the gazillion empty boxes sitting in the front of the store. No one had an issue at the Torrance or Irvine locations when I asked. read more

I've been a BevMo! fan since 2005. They are one of the better specialty stores to purchase hard-to-find craft brews, wine and liquor. In addition to selling drinks, they also sell everything you need to serve them in, glasses, etc. Oh, they also have a cheese section and a cigar shop on site, which complements their drinks appropriately. Their employees are very knowledgeable and can help you pick out bottles of wine, based on simple questions that they ask you about what you're looking for. Each beverage BevMo sells has a short description and rating, which helps me decide on what I will buy. As a beer enthusiast, going to BevMo is like being a child again and going to a candy store. There is so much variety to try, you can't go wrong. read more

Went here over Labor Day with the BF. With over $80 in alcohol in our basket we looked for one last bottle of Vodka. Bevmo employee: "Can I help you?" Us: "I dont think so, we're just looking for a bottle of vodka" Bevmo employee: "well, we're closed, so..." Oh! Wow. No announcement was made that the store was closing. No one stopped us when we were coming in. In fact, another employee had held the door open for us when got there. Rude. Next time we'll spend $100 on alcohol elsewhere. read more

One of the most devastating discoveries upon my move from Long Beach to Houston was the realization that there is no BevMo in Houston. I'm sorry, what? No BevMo in Houston? Later devastating discoveries included that Houston does not sell hard liquor in the grocery store, you cannot purchase alcohol until after 12 noon on Sundays, and you can't buy alcohol until after 7am other days. All of these things make me miss BevMo even more. If I wasn't clear there or with my 5 stars, I. LOVE. BEVMO. I absolutely LOVE their 5 cents wine sale. I went to this BevMo and their 5 cent wine sale so often that I was recognizing which types of wines were always in the sale, which wines were new to the sale, and which wines I loved and didn't love. This was my go-to place for regular wine stock-ups when I lived in the area. So much fun! They also have boxes for other winos like me who forget their wine bags on occasion. I actually also have had great experiences with their staff. Once, I was set to "splurge" on a bottle that was $30ish, and of course that meant buying 2 bottles in the 5 cent wine sale. A cashier asked me if I had tried this wine before--and I let him know that I hadn't. He recommended that I select a different, similarly-priced wine, because many customers came back, unhappy with their choice in that specific wine. That is so nice! I would hate to get home that wine, open it, dislike it, and then have a whole other bottle to be stuck with! One word to new BevMo visitors--this location is kind of hard to find. It is in the back of the lot (well, sort of... it's hard to describe), so if you see Trader Joe's, keep going toward the back where there are less shops... and you will see it.
