    Top sellers!

One of the best places from the list of small, local businesses, Bi-Rite Market of NoPa never disappoints. If you're in NoPa, I suggest you head to Bi-Rite for some freshest produce in order to stock up as a way to prepare ahead of time. As long as its interior atmosphere is packed with normal vibes, it's best to make an excellent shopping list the next time you visit. Last Sunday afternoon before heading home, I'm thinking about buying a cold cut sandwich before my dental cleaning on the next early afternoon. Davidson, made with chunks of lemongrass tofu cubes, jalapeño shreds, cilantro, and carrot strips in a banh mí sandwich surely hits the spot! Having plenty of greens and plant proteins was a good way to get so much fiber needed. Bi-Rite Market will always be a welcome mat for all walks of life. As long as we treat each other with kindness and respect, that puts our minds at ease.

Super fresh Sandos. I got the telegraph sandwich and the roast beef was beautifully marbled and bread had that fresh crunch. Cheese was high quality and they don't skimp on the fried onions. Pair with a fun drink, they have so many juice, seltzer, and kombucha options. It's a pricy market for sure but you'll get what you pay for which are some unique and delicious food items.

I love browsing this small but jam-packed market to try interesting, fancy, special, and local foods, and even better, they take EBT! Their selection of goods is quite impressive from breads from Rize Up (ube sourdough!) to a nice selection of chocolates (Deux Cranes' matcha chocolate with caramelized sesame!), but I wouldn't do my normal grocery shopping here because it's pricey. It's so cool that they collaborate with local businesses to create unique ice cream flavors. This location sells pints only, not scoops. I tried their limited edition sweet ume plum ice cream in collaboration with Rintaro, which tastes like a tart, original froyo. I couldn't taste any plum flavor, but it was deliciously smooth and creamy. I can't wait to try more of their collaboration pints. I also stumbled upon Petite LaFleur's salted dark chocolate honeycomb here, and it's absolutely delectable!

Bi-Rite Market is a small grocery store that has almost anything you are looking for. They have fresh fruits to milk, ice cream, pasta, and flowers. The market does not have their ice cream to buy by scoops but you can get their ice cream that is already packaged in the frozen section. I got the chocolate pie the other day and it is very tasty! It is perfect for anyone who has a sweet tooth. It is not big in size but it is really dense so it is enough to share with at least 4-5 people. The cashiers are also very nice and friendly.

    Yummy! The lone mountain.

Parking is on the street. Store is tiny. I came for the sandwich and it did not disappoint. It was absolutely delicious. I got the lone mountain and the bread was perfect. The content was also super neatly packed. It was really good. Wish I didn't live so far or I'd be here all the time. Can't really comment too much on the grocery part but it's small... so things are limited and it's just crowded.

Local gem that I haven't visited in a while. I dropped by bc I was in the area and I tried the salmon salad which was fire. Most salmon salads I have had tend to be dry but this one was perfection. Perfect amount of moist. The sweet potatoe and kale salad was phenomenal. I could eat that for days. Great consistency and flavors. I also tried the banana pecan bread which was alright. I little dry for my liking but my friend liked it. The honey marshmallow was also a delight. Overall this trip reminded how much I need to keep comin back to bi rite. Service is always so nice too

The food here is really fresh and they have unique options I can't find in Whole Foods or other healthier stores (at least in Sacramento). Highly recommend.

Great selection of: 1. fresh produce 2. cheese 3. Salads (salad bar) 4. Sandwiches/ misc. prepared food 5. Oil Meh: 1. No protein powder or collagen powder sold here 2. Bath/cosmetic products (it's a sad, sad section) 3. Chocolate (go to the Rainbow grocery store instead- trust me) 4. Mark-ups (by far the most expensive grocery store) Overall: I get my groceries from the Rainbow grocery store, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods

In one incident over a year ago, another customer verbally harassed me and threatened physical harm while I was shopping. Her child was left unattended and was knocking items over, which I reported to security. The guard failed to do his job and did not intervene appropriately. When a supervisor arrived, the situation was handled much more professionally. I should feel safe shopping in my local market. That guard no longer works there, but the experience was upsetting and difficult to move past. Unfortunately, in January 2026, I encountered similar issues with a new security guard. He has repeatedly followed me around the store without cause. Most recently, he approached me unnecessarily, stood uncomfortably close, and spoke to me in an intrusive manner while I was selecting items. His behavior showed poor training and a lack of respect for personal boundaries. These repeated experiences with security staff are negatively affecting the atmosphere at Woodlands. I am a respectful, regular customer and do not want to feel uncomfortable or monitored without cause when shopping. Proper security training and professionalism are essential for customer safety and trust.

Some things are definitely more than you'll pay elsewhere (most of the crackers for example). Pasta and canned goods prices were okay; in general maybe a bit higher than some places but not too much so. For vegetables, they do have some nice deals and stuff you may not find elsewhere (heirloom tomatoes, early girl tomatoes, variety of fruit and different vegetables). I felt like the tomatoes alone were worth the trip (grape tomatoes for cheaper than I saw anywhere else, beautiful heirloom tomatoes at a decent price, and early girl tomatoes which can be hard to find in the winter [I haven't had them yet but they looked fresh]). There aren't a ton of options for the meat counter but they are all quality items and the prices show. For example, the only chicken they had was Mary's chicken. The cheese selection was great especially for a small store and they had some nice meat, olive and peppers (homemade?) options for charcuterie boards. They also sell premade meals. Probably not the place you should buy everything you need but it's a good supplemental option and there were some gems. I guess they have a few locations so I would be back to this one if I'm in the area and would also check out one of the other stores if convenient too.
