I came here on Monday at around 12:30 ish and it wasn't that bad. There was a line but I guess most people get to-go here since it's on campus. And the line is pretty fast too! We found a table easily for 7 of us though we had to pull a chair over. I liked the set up! It's cool that they've got some tables at the bottom of the stairs and then most up in the second level. This is not a huge Bibibop but I thought it was a good size for it. I will say, I got larger scoops for the options at the one on Henderson... But anyway! Tip: the tap water is from a little faucet thing next to the drink fountain. Kinda had no idea what that was but it was interesting. Another tip: you can actually ask to get all three of the second topping options of bean sprouts, potatoes, and black beans. Get more for your money if ya can! They don't tell you this but my first time at Bibibop on Henderson, the guy told me I could get all three. So why not? Overall, loving it! read more

This is a pretty typical Bibibop. Although pretty small since it's on campus. And multi level so probably not handicapped accessible. I don't really think of Bibibop as Korean food. I mean I guess it is, in the same sense that Chipotle or Taco Bell are Mexican food, or Fazoli's is Italian food. Call it Korean-inspired. Sort of like a TV movie that is based on actual events but has little connection to reality. Go to the counter, order your carbs or veggies, order your protein, top it with other veggies etc. Pick some sauces. In and out pretty darn quick. I came solely because I wanted to try the Korean beef, which is supposed to be like bulgogi. And it was, pretty much. Decent flavor, mostly tender, although a little bit stringy. Nicely charred on the edges. I got purple rice, which was good and stuck together well enough to use chopsticks on. I added corn, cabbage, sprouts, and I think gochujang and ginger sauces. Nice flavors; a pretty good amount of food which surprised me because in other locations, I have thought they were rather skimpy. Maybe my appetite has shrunk, or maybe they are giving the students a bit more food. Whatever, it was reasonably priced, pretty good, and pretty fast, which is what I needed. Shock and awe in Ohio. This little Korean Chipotle-like fast casual chain was really tasty. Not everything, but most of it. Really loved the Passionfruit agua fresca drink. Had not seen that before, and it was seriously good. Got a bowl with the glass noodles as my base and spicy chicken. It was really spicy. It didn't help that I doused my bowl with every spicy condiment they had, my bad. I debated this reviewing because in part grub hub was to blame but the decided the restaurant could have at least listened to the problem, which they don't give you the chance to do. When you pay for food, you'd like to at least be able to eat it. I paid $33 dollars for a Grub hub delivery to work. I received a meal with an attached receipt of $11 and some change. (part of my order was my for my dinner later that night- but never mind that wasn't delivered.) I clearly received someone elses, much cheaper order that I couldn't eat. It was filled with kimchee, which I won't eat so I wound up lunchless and when I contacted support through the portal I was discounted $7. $7!!! What? This is like a Korean version of Chipotle, a spin-off of the Korean bibimbap. You choose a carb from noodles, rice, purple rice, or salad and then add a protein and different veggie toppings. The portion size is pretty large and the cost for a bowl is only about $7-8. If you dine in, there's free miso soup that you can self serve which is awesome! Obviously this is not going to be your gourmet Korean food with lots of side dishes and kbbq but it serves as a fast, cheap, Americanized version very well. I've also ordered delivery from here from DoorDash, I think. The portion size was even bigger and it seemed like there were even more topping options although that seems unlikely to be true. I'm a fan of this chain in many places but this one was kind of blah. The miso soup had no miso flavor. It tasted like water. The bowl I had has great tasting tofu, egg and kimchee but the kale was lacking in flavor as was the cabbage. Not sure why but just a bit tasteless. Not sure when kimchee required a separate purchase as I ate in DC in March and it was like any other element. Not a fan of charging extra for it. The Korean red sauce tasted just the same. A new restaurant chain with a menu and a system I don't understand? Argh. No thanks. Well, thanks to my friends for dragging me here, more like it. Here's what I learned. This is an Asian version of Chipotle or Piada. You stand in a cafeteria style line while personable workers let you choose rice, potatoes, proteins, veggies, sauces, etc... For a delicious meal. My most adventurous meal usually involves Wonder Bread and stadium mustard, so I figured I'd hate this place, complain, and walk down to a burger place later in the afternoon. What I learned is that new is sometimes good, super tasty, and reasonably priced. Don't be afraid. Give it a whirl. It won't take the place of your favorite Chinese or Thai restaurant, but it's not trying to do that. Seriously, try it. read more

Normally, I don't rate chain restaurants, but I just feel like someone needs to say it, considering all bibibop locations have 4 stars. This food is extremely unauthentic. I do not enjoy the flavors incorporated into these bowls at all. Bibibop at least used to use seaweed which added a better touch of authenticity, but they have now replaced it with a dry, tough, kale. The meats lack proper seasoning, and the kimchi is way below average. A true bibimbap is much more delicious than this bibimbap knock off. read more

I choose this place as the best place to grab lunch on campus. I come here whenever I miss Korean food and don't have enough time to go somewhere far. The combination I recommend most is brown rice w potato, sprout, 'beef' and everything except cheese and corn for toppings. I usually get sauce as a side which is located across the drinks(you can actually pump the sauce by yourself). A bit of sesame along with red sauce is the best. This is my first time here. The atmosphere is new age but comfortable. It's right across the OSU stufent union so everything at this location is catered towards the college kids. The customer service was really fantastic. The server walked me thro all my options and can advice about what goes good together. The quality of the food is pretty good. I got chicken in my bowl and it looks and tastes good. The bowl options are slightly limited compared to the other Creat Your Own restaurants I've been too.
