Ordered a Pizza Margherita which is the standard to critique a pizzeria. The pizza was ready quickly, we did not have to wait long, and it was perfect. The dough has been aged properly, with a nice thin crust, perfect balance of crispy and chewy with a great flavour and the bonus of air bubbles. The sauce was basic San Marzano tomatoes that had a wonderful flavour of the tomatoes without being overpowering (like a Marinara can sometimes be). Fior De Latte cheese in just the right amount with fresh basil as a garnish. We had a patio table which was beautiful during the sunny weather in the summer. Our server Linda, was from Italy which was also nice, as we speak Italian, so we had fun speaking with her in her own language. A great experience and we will definitely be back! read more

Warm, cozy, and sort of (medium) upscale restaurant located inside McArthur Glen outlets by the airport in Richmond. I probably wouldn't choose to dine in here while shopping at the outlet as it is on the fancier side (both the interior and price point), as I'd personally be more interested in a grab-and-go type of food while I'm here. It was a fantastic and delicious meal though. My order: Montanara - White Pizza $28: Wood fired oven pizza crust was incredible. It's on the thinner side which I love, and has a nice chew to it in terms of texture. Topped with mozzarella, porcini mushroom, coppa Piacentina DOP, scamorza, and TRUFFLE OIL. I'd say the highlight here was the truffle oil and procini mushroom - I'm a sucker for this combo. Good amount of toppings, and I'd definitely order this one again. Assorted Meats & Cheeses (Tagliere di salumi e formaggi ) $26: Pretty good selection of italian curAed meats and cheeses. Can't think of a better way to celebrate the imminent return of Bilbo ( albeit in Lego form ) than a visit to Bibo , our current fave pizza joint in all of Richmond . This time we had the crudo ( white pizza ) featuring proscuitto and arugula on top but it's really the dough that stole the show . Seriously that pizza crust's sooo irresistible - chewy but in a very satisfying kinda way . Spaghetti Bolognese is exactly what you'd expect from a proper pizzeria : hearty in-house meat sauce on a bed of al dente pasta . The watered down Caesar was a bit of a letdown though . Anyhow we shall gladly return with Bilbo in tow , probably in my hoodie pocket , for more pizzadventures :D read more

We're shopping at outlet and needed to fill up more energy to continue for journey. We decided to have lunch at Bibo. I have been Bibo on West 4th, however, I didn't like it. Just gave them another chance and hope they're ok. Unfortunately, I'm wrong! The worst pasta and pizza I had in town! Pasta just luke warm and spaghetti was quite soft. ordered delivery worst food i've had in years. had the cacio e pepe rigatoni and the burratini pasta and added mozzerella for $5 extra. the rigatoni was undercooked not al dente, no sauce whatsoever literally zero. tasted like unseasoned pasta with pepper on it. had to completely recook and re season as to not waste any food. was so inedible at first. the pizza is just tomato sauce with one piece of basil on each slice with the smallest piece of burrata. they forgot the $5 mozzarella i added as well which was truly the cherry on top. skip this place my meal was absolute garbage. didn't think to take a picture of the pasta before i reseasoned it. please hire new chefs i can genuinely cook better pasta than this myself. pasta was around $25 and pizza $29 after add ons. bigwaste of money read more

That was disappointing. My friend loved it and kept eating, so I didn't turn it into a big deal. If I would've been by myself I would've returned it. Oooooh lala! I enjoyed my pizza today for sure. Why we don't come here more often? My mom..... she has this issue with Parmesan cheese . You know, the smell........ but if it was my choice! I'd eat Italian almost everyday and just get fat and roasty like a well crisped porchetta! I'd eat more Italian if I could but also have to do it sparingly because of diabetes. What's a girl to do? I dunno, eat more salad? It's funny, depending on who my dining mates are with this place. It will be good or just ok let's go home now. Nothing against the food. Just the dates maybe? It's one thing to rate a place based on a bad experience, which we had - metal shavings in my daughters pasta (staff didn't seem to care much and still tried to charge us full price for the dish with little effort to make up for the mistake). This restaurant has a nice atmosphere. You can see the Chiefs cooking, which is always good. It's a swanky Italian restaurant. Nice inside. The pizza was good but needed more cheese. It's authentic Italian style so it may seem strange when you get a pizza and it's mostly sauce but it also depends on your order. If you are shopping at the Outlet near YVR and need to get a bite to eat, this is a good place to check out. As far as Pizza goes I really enjoyed mine. Everything about the food was great and I would for sure eat here again. The only frustrating thing about this place is that there is only one restroom in the entire restaurant. Not 1 for Men and 1 for women... ONE TOTAL. So there was a line the entire time we were there. Very annoying. But don't let that stop you if you like Neapolitan Pizza. read more

Came here today when we were really hungry from walking around, hoping to have a nice filling meal that wouldn't take too long, since it seems like a semi casual place. We ordered the bruschetta and margherita pizza, and we had to wait 25 minutes for the bruschetta (which is an appetizer that only consists of bread and diced tomatoes), and the pizza took 45 minutes. About 15 minutes into our wait, our server comes to tell us there was a "mix up" with our order. When the appetizer took another 10 minutes to come out, we realized she just forgot to punch it in. However, we wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. We finally finished our appetizer, and were hoping the pizza would be out soon, but we found ourselves soon hoping she would instead show up so we could ask her for the bill, and go eat elsewhere- because it was taking way too long for a pizza. However, she never showed up again until she brought the pizza, half an hour later. Mind you, the restaurant was not busy enough to have such delays, and there were three servers- so the delay was because of the "mix up". Any other place that makes customers wait 45 minutes for food that should be no more than 20 minutes usually comps the food, but we had everything on the bill and I am now regretting even leaving the server a tip. Never coming back here again- I advise you to go literally anywhere else, the food will be better and won't have you looking around for your server and food. read more

We were at the outlet and decided to try a restaurant we haven't been to as yet. We came into Bibo and waited at the front. There were two persons standing there which sort of acknowledged our presence but didn't come close to arrange our seatings. I was unsure if the guy in the suit was the manager or was he a customer, but who stands in front of the entrance and chat? After what seemed liked a long time a lady server approached us and got us seated. We weren't very hungry 'cause we ate a bit earlier so we got a pizza to share. We ordered the pancetta e zola which is a pancetta pizza with mozzarella and gorgonzola cheese (3.5/5 - $18). This came out in a timely manner and was made fresh. You can taste the difference. The cheese was stringy and there was ample amount of pancetta and of course the 'acquired' taste of gorgonzola. Love that the base of the pizza is not too thin nor was it too thick. They've started the cuts for you but you would need to further complete them yourself. In total you get about 6 slices. We each ate a slice and saved some room for the tiramisu. The tiramisu (2.5/5 - $8) was not too fascinating. It was too heavy on the mascarpone and the espresso they used weren't strong enough so it lacked the coffee taste. It was presented in a ceramic bowl and thus the layers could not be seen. Service was not bad but since we didn't finish our pizza we got it to go and you would have thought they'd have the courtesy to finish cutting your pizza into slices and put them in takeout container, no they just folded your pizza together. What the hell? Now I got a pizza sandwich or if I take them apart, one side would have all the toppings and the other slices would be bare. How wonderful! They could've just put them in a pizza box 'cause I saw someone going out of the restaurant with one. read more

Very good wood fired thin crust pizza. The olive oil is absolutely delicious drizzled on top. Pretty good for the value considering this shop's location. A pizza and an appie would be good enough to share between 2. We ordered gelato from the cart outside afterwards... Please train your staff on how to scoop gelato. I found the service to be very poor. It took a very long time for the waiter to come after we were seated. We had to stand up and look around for him before him came. The cold tap water in the bottle was neat, but that was the only thing special in the restaurant. I had the canneloni. It tasted like a microwave Michalena's TV dinner. It was not flavourful at all. The place is very expensive. Not worth the price. I also found it cheesy that you pay $2.50 for a pop and they charge you for a refill (the same amount). I asked for a basket of bread. We've been to Bibo between 4-5 times within the last 6 months. The pizza is authentic and always cooked to perfection. We've tried a few different pizzas and have always enjoyed them. Our favorites are prosciutto y Fungí and the crudo. Service is always a hit or miss. I would have given Bibo 3/5 stars since the customer service isn't great but after dealing with Elisa I decided to give an extra star. Her conversations are organic and it's clear she enjoys what she does. If you go, be sure to ask for Elisa!! read more

The pizza was excellent (no cheese, which is how we like it) and the crust was thin and perfect. We actually asked beforehand if the crust was thin and our server, who is from Naples, said it is just as they make in Naples. Well, it was delicious. The potato pie with mushrooms was out of this world. It was like a potato croquet on a light pastry bathed in this rich parmigiano reggiano cheese sauce and fresh porcini mushrooms. It was divine.
