First time coming to Bibo Pizzeria down at the Designer Outlet mall in Richmond. I went with my boyfriend and parents to take them out to eat at an Italian restaurant. Once we walked in, there was a Firestone oven, coffee and alcohol bar. Our server was helpful with our choices and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered two cappuccinos, red sauce pasta, and two pizzas (I forgot the name of the dishes but I have pictures to show what they look like). The pasta was fairly good but I wouldn't go there for their pasta. I would recommend the pizzas! The pizzas are cooked in the Firestone oven, the ingredients are fresh and the crust is so thin! Definitely try their pizzas out! Overall, I would give the experience including service, food, and feel of the restaurant an 8/10! read more

They forgot about my cousin's pasta. My pizza had been brought out and we waited 10 minutes before we were able to get our waiter's attention. He then brought it out quickly but it was totally cold. This was the first time I have ever sent anything back in my life. When we got it again it wasn't much hotter. Although the waiter was very apologetic, he proceeded to give us two complementary cans of pop. They charged us the full cost of the pasta. Not classy at all. read more

The worst experience in Italian dinning ever! Pizza was cold and soggy made with non fresh ingredients, we ordered classic Margarita, and there was no Basil on top! The manager explained to us that they were so busy that they ran out of it too early at that day! and instead he offered Arugula!! and this happened while serving our Pizza. and another menu item is the toasted bread appetizer with cherry tomatoes, black olive, artichoke and I believe Marinara sauce; the bread was too chewy and burn taste, those were not grilled marks it was more achar! Very very bad service. We were waiting for our meal over 1 hour. Waitresses ignored us. Chicken were burned. "Caprese" had only one (1) leaf of basil. We asked a couple times for olive oil for pizza. We had to stand around for a while, until finally being noticed to be seated. Once seated they got our order wrong and the server/ manager would not acknowledge her mistake and was very argumentative. She ruined a birthday we were celebrating. Love the pizza but the service is terrible, never enough staff, the cooks in the kitchen mustn't have ever worked in a proper restaurant before and have no idea how to actually get the food out in the order that the customers have placed their order. Waited and waited for our drinks, major language barrier. The wait staff are totally disorganized and the waitress was on her phone for the 30 mins we were waiting for our drinks, I eventually went and got them myself. Then when all the other tables that sat and ordered after us got their food before us we finally got up to leave but not before the phone waitress chased after us asking where we were going. Really good pizza, thin crust, made on site, not a fat-dripping one smothered in excess amounts of cheese but good toppings instead. The BiBo definitely became one of my favourite Italian restaurants in town. We went at the McArthur Glenn mall location and the vibes reminded me of my visit to Southern Italy a couple years ago...both aesthetically and in terms of staff friendliness/courtesy. We ordered ravioli alla Piemontese and Boccone pizza. We were told the pasta is freshly made on site and oh boy...you can taste it...extremely flavourful and great texture, I highly suggest that dish. The pizza was simply delicious and I considered getting a second order but my wallet disagreed...nevertheless...next time I might. Highly, highly recommended for a date or to satisfy post-shopping hunger. read more

Unfortunately, the service at this location is terrible. The staff seem to be in their own world and oblivious to guests needs. On top of that, the pizza was lacking any quality cheese and the crust came out burnt. It is supposed to be authentic Italian however they need to go back to the test kitchen to really improve their dishes. The prices were high, for example, $20 for a single portion of lasagna which you can pay less and get much more in any of the other amazing Italian restaurants in this city. Save your money and your time and look to your favorite Italian restaurant or try another one. ...dare I say that the Spaghetti Factory would have been a better experience. Really. I wish the food was better and the service but they really missed the mark. We had to go elsewhere later that evening to fill up on some food again. Went there in a group of 13 people. All but two ordered pasta. The one pizza that was ordered was good. The pastas though were uniformly flavorless (liberal sprinklings of salt and pepper didn't help) and portions uneven and generally too small (even the kids left hungry). Tomato sauce had that processed "out of a jar" taste and the meat in the ragu sauce was conspicuous by its absence. Also no cheese was offered and no bread was brought to the table (curious in a pizza place that should pride itself on its bread). At between $18 and $24 a plate I expect more. When the waiter asked us how the food was we told him what we thought, thinking he'd do something about it. Not a chance. Why ask in the first place I ask myself? Meaningless words. Spoke to the manageress. She apologized (without sincerity) and said that they flew all their ingredients in from Italy. We though to ourselves "why bother if its tasteless"! We were given a token discount off our bill that did not make us feel any better. We overheard the staff afterwards saying that we "just wanted free food" which just added insult to injury, we just wanted good food that is worthy of the price and doesn't leave you wanting to go somewhere else to "fill up". As a business owner myself I highly value feedback (good and bad) from customers. If I were in the managerness's place I'd have offer alternative food to the unhappy customer and make sure they leave happy. This is one of the best places to eat in Richmond. Fantastic handmade pastas and sauces. All delicious. Their gnocchi is amazing. Pizzas are also really good in the Neopolitan style with thin chewy crust and great tomato sauce. Been back many times and never disappointed. read more

Sadly, this place has absolutely terrible service and the staff is extremely unprofessional. We waited at the front to be seated for five or so minutes and nobody greeted us. Then we walked further in hoping someone would notice we had not been helped. Another five minutes later we were finally seated. It was quite a wait before anyone came to take our order. My husband ordered a gluten free pasta and our waiter went to confirm with the kitchen. We could see the chef making a fuss over the request, waving her arms and shaking her head. At that point our server came back to the table laughing and we asked to speak to a manager. Five more minutes of waiting and no manager. I asked another staff member to speak to a manager again. When the manager finally scale to talk to us, I shared our experience and that the service was sub par - she was very apathetic about it. We ended up leaving with out a meal and would not recommend - this place clearly does not want our business. Came here with a friend while we were shopping at the Outlets. Pizza was delicious, definitely authentic. Ordered the bread as well and was not offered any olive oil which was strange, so we asked for some and the olive oil was quite bland in my opinion. Service was lacking, as we were only asked how everything was when we had almost finished our meals(and it wasn't busy either). Our experience however, was terrible. At the beginning of our meal, a woman stumbled out from inside the restaurant clearly intoxicated and sat next to us at another table and fell asleep. A server came out and attempted to let her know her cab had arrived. She could not stand, was not making out words and was by no means okay. The server proceeded to bring her water and ask her if she could make it to the cab alone. The restaurant had clearly overserved her liquor and was not making any advances to ensure her safety. They left her outside as her cab left and when she attempted to stand and walk, she fell and hurt herself. She was bleeding and when we let the server know our concerns about their service, they blamed it on her saying "she only had 2-3 glasses of wine." The manager here is horrible, she cleaned her wound with hydrogen peroxide which definitely made it worse. She showed no compassion for the woman and left her alone. I'd recommend the food here, but the appalling negligence and ignorance of the staff is too overwhelming to ever come back. read more

The flavor was mediocre- not quite even as good as a lasagna from Denny's... the lasagna was the smallest piece that I have ever had in my life. The sauce was poured on, and tasted like it came from a jar from Safeway- the sort of fare that made me recall weekends in a university dorm when the cafeteria wasn't open. In fact, all of the dishes were tiny, and not warm. The pizza was even soggy. I told the waiter that the size of the lasagna was oddly small, and he said that he noticed that it was a very small piece, but he just laughed and did nothing. After ordering three main dishes, the price came to $70 without tip. I had to go next-door to order hotdogs for everyone afterwards. Horrible place - do not come here and ruin your meal or waste your money. read more

I've been here quite a few times and this place has really awesome authentic food , better than a lot of other places around Vancouver that I've tried. The restaurant is pretty new and in a pretty good location. You can shop then stop for a bite to eat without leaving the outlet which is really convenient. Although the food here is spectacular and the service is quite good , some of the people they have working there can be a little unfriendly and come off a little rude , for the most part most of the people are really nice so don't let a couple bad apples ruin this place for you , totally worth a try if you're in the mood for some tasty reasonably priced Italian food. read more

The 4 cheese pizzas wasn't supposed to have blue cheese in it, but it had sprinkles (pretty sure it was either by mistake or contaminated). Our coke was flat eventhough she opened it in front of us. Went to this restaurant last night at 7:45 PM and they locked the door shut and closed the place the moment we arrived despite having posted hours open to 9:00 PM. Asked to verify with the manager that they were closing early and that we had come from Vancouver to enjoy their restaurant but they insisted on closing early due to it being a "quiet evening". Really bad to lock out customers when you are supposed to be open, in our opinion. If you go to this place, suggest you arrive before 7:00 PM to avoid being locked out.
