Parking can be a challenge, especially during peak hours. If the main lot is full, you can usually find additional parking in the nearby Costco lot and walk over. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made for a great experience. The wine tasting area is much smaller than the Avondale location, which has a much larger and more spacious setup. During our visit, we learned about the bonus bottle program and received helpful wine recommendations and tasting tips, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. If you're looking for a quieter visit, I recommend going during the week when it's less crowded. My only suggestions would be to expand the wine tasting area and improve the parking situation. Otherwise, it's a great place to enjoy a tasting and learn more about wine!

This is a takeout order review and just wow! I know this…read morelocation has a lot of mixed reviews but my takeout order was so good. I got the kids steak meal which included their bread, parm mashed potatoes, and the Mac n cheese. The steak was seasoned well and good to medium like I ordered. The parm mash had a well balanced subtle flavor but that Mac n cheese was the highlight. There was a smokiness to the cheese and just so good plus the pasta shape is a bonus and allowed for the cheese to stick to it all! The packaging was great too! I love that you can save and reuse if you'd like but everything traveled well

The atmosphere at Firebirds in Surprise is undeniably modern and polished. It has that "upscale…read moresteakhouse that also knows the game is on" vibe=very sleek. The bread was a fantastic start: hot, crispy on the outside, and gooey on the inside (a solid opening act for the meal). The service was excellent. Joseph was bubbly, friendly, and incredibly attentive throughout our meal. The team clearly puts in effort; my wife noted he was "giving 100." Even the little detail of the hot towel at the end felt like a nice, polished touch. The food was a mixed bag, though. We tried the "Perfect Pair" lunch special, and I think the portion sizes were better suited for a younger eater than an adult. On the bright side, the chicken tortilla soup was a standout, flavorful and definitely worth ordering. The salmon club was also pretty good. The smash burger, unfortunately, was smaller and lacked punch...the bun seemed to take center stage over the actual meat. The mac and cheese was gooey but felt totally forgettable. One heads-up for future visitors: depending on where you sit, you might catch an occasional STRONG restroom smell. It's a lot less of a dealbreaker than the burger portion size, but something to know. Overall, it's worth visiting if you appreciate the modern aesthetic, the quality of the soup, and the great service from people like Joseph. (We did, however, have a bit of a digestive disagreement later in the evening, not sure if it was the salmon club, but the stomach disagreed with the plate.)

I had never been to First Watch before, but I expected a wait. I checked in and was quoted 25 minutes for a party of four. After 30 minutes, I checked in again and was told I was second in line. A few more minutes went by, so I asked again, and now I was fifth in line. I was confused, and they explained that people checking in online could jump ahead of me. They also said they were unable to accurately quote a wait time, and that it could end up being much longer. I know many other places use a hybrid check-in system, and I've never experienced an issue like this. I understand when things simply take longer than expected, but tables were being turned over and people were being seated. I must have just been incredibly unlucky with the timing of people checking in online. After finally being seated about 45 minutes later, we put our order in right away since we were now going to be cutting it close. I'm used to breakfast places being pretty quick, but it took another 45 minutes for our food to arrive. We ended up being 15 minutes late to the movie. I expected the opening credits to still be rolling, so I wasn't too stressed, but we definitely missed the first five minutes or so of the movie. The food was pretty good, but my eggs were over hard when I had ordered them over medium. What disappointed me the most was that nobody seemed to care that the quoted wait time was so far off. There was no apology or acknowledgment. Our waitress was okay, but she avoided our table like the plague while we were waiting for our food, probably because she knew it was taking so long. Empathy and kind words go a long way.

"by a manager no less."We walked in after making reservations and the manager said she didn't have a table for an hour and my mom responded we had reservations, she responded with well its your fault you didn't tell me how many. I thought I misheard her and asked another in our party did she really just say its your fault? In customer service for over 30 years I never ever had said something so rude. It's common knowledge that the customer is always right. How is this rude person a manager. " karla was her name" She should never be in customer service. Everyone in the party got to our table and we were all very shocked and upset that we had been treated with such disrespect and disdain. Although our waitress her name was Kristie she was top notch very kind and helpful all smiles and professional. Such great food and service but the manager should be fired immediately. I hope someone in corporate reads this!! This manager will rot a business with such unprofessional behavior. If you know me I don't complain I know people have off days. But this behavior is unacceptable. Mrs Byington 425-293-1436.

Where do I begin. I…read moregot to the restaurant a little early and noticed that this gentleman who had just parked as well had a big smile on his face and was humming a tune as he walked towards the entrance in his nice black slacks and shirt. I walked in at 3:16 pm and was at the hostess desk for maybe 7 seconds when the same gentleman came up, greeted me and seated me. He was by the bar and we got talking about the weather, Texas, NY and life. Still early so he pulled up a chair next to my table and we continued our fun dialogue. Turns out this down to earth and very sweet guy is the owner Emilio Kimble. His wife Maria, also a sweetheart and he have brought this same natural love, care and service to their beautiful restaurant. The restaurant is big with indoor and outdoor seating, a gorgeous bar and tv's galore. My friends Barb and Luci arrived and they got their " usual" Tito's and soda plus a Cab. My Diet Coke was refilled constantly by the our very attentive waitress Emily. The food was stupendous. It had to be as Emilio's and Maria's love was contagious- Luci loved her Diamondback burger( photo). Barbara got really quiet ( a rarity)as she chomped on her tremendous pulled pork burger(;photo) and I got a special tuna salad on wheat with grilled peppers and onions and fresh avocado( photo snapped before I inhaled it). It was a beautiful sandwich. The fries were hot, crispy and tasty. It was a great meal. Big portions too. The regulars poured in and the laughter and fun continued as we moved to the bigger room for the Thursday night trivia. I love that they have a Jazz night, fish fry and shrimp Friday specials, a Billy Joel tribute night, a $16 Easter Buffet in 10 days( sadly I will be in Europe) and so many fun events on the calendar. ( photos). The restaurant is immaculate and bright. There is lots of parking up front. They cater and they deliver. They open daily at 9 am except for Mondays( closed). I am here for a racquetball tournament about 3 miles north and will absolutely bring the guys for the undisputed best meal of their trip. Thank you Emilio, Maria and your lovely team for your kindness and a memorable evening.

I didn't know that. I called the number to speak to somebody to open the gate and the guy told me I had to go around. I tried to explain the guy I didn't know how to go around because I'm not from this area. He then stated "well if you didn't cut me off, I was about to tell you". That was enough for me to tell him don't worry about it. I'll figure it out. I pull up to the other gate and it's him that standing there. He asked me where I'm going and I tell him then, he rest his elbow on my car, tries to look me in the eyes and says "it was really rude of you to hang up on me like that" I explained to him "I didn't like the tone of your voice that's why you got hung up on". He then says "well, what's the address of the place you're going to" like he doesn't know where I'm going You don't need this kind of trouble just to try to go somewhere to get a bite to eat. The Hostess had asked if we were celebrating anything. Yes. My wife's birthday. Arthur took our orders. My wife had surf and turf and I had the 9 ounce fillet with a loaded baked potato. We both had basically house wine at $10.00 per glass. The house salad came with both swimming in our respective dressings. We were each able to down a few bites before putting them aside. Entrees arrived in a timely manner. My wife enjoyed everything on her order. Steak done to order and tasty shrimp. My center cut fillet was not a good cut. It did not melt in my mouth. Way too chewy. I ordered medium rare. The cook was uneven and way too much salt in the seasoning. The baked potato was also extremely over salted. Disappointing for a "steakhouse". I did not mention anything to Arthur until after I had already paid the check because I was not looking for a discount. Oh yes! When we came in, I was asked about the special occasion. My wife's birthday. When we sat down, one of the staff stopped and wished her a happy birthday. Then nothing. It was not mentioned again. Why ask if you are not going to do something? Sing a song. Offer a discounted dessert. But nothing. I admit to scratching my head on that. Bottom line. My wife enjoyed it. Me? Not so much with the exception of Arthur. We will probably try it one more time as there is a 50/50 chance I'll like it.
