Delicious food, large portions and great value. I tried Big Bun yesterday for the first time. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and tots. Staff was very friendly and chatted while the food was being prepared. After receiving the order, I pulled around and ate lunch in my car. The chicken sandwich was HOT with a nice large chicken breast. The tots were hot and crisply. Nothing was greasy and it was not too salty either. Unlike other reviewers, I think the prices are very good. I paid $9 total for my combo (special of the day). In reviewing the other combos on the menu, they are on par with prices with the big fast food places. The difference, by far, is the quality of food for the money and great staff. I have only tried this once so far but it was really good! I got the burger with ham on it and the first bite made me sad I never tried this place before now. Tater tots were crispy and hot. Everything was fresh. The cheese sticks weren't amazing (it's made with a different type of breading) but they were still tasty. My partner loved his double cheeseburger. They have many different choices and everything seems to be made fresh so don't expect "fast" but this place is definitely a must try!! read more

Unbelievable variety of ice cream flavors for a seemingly simple drive-in. Will have to come back and try one of them and will also have to try more of the food here! Today's first visit I ordered one of the best fish sandwiches I've ever had, and some of the burgers here (some kind of Teriyaki Burger looks like the bomb on the advertisement and makes a return soon very likely!) look like they could be flavorful! My wife thought they were "fine", but she has a different burger taste than me, so I'm brushing that review to the side until I get a chance to try one! This is one of our favorite places to eat in town. For starters our lab gets a free ice cream cone with a treat on top. When I say it's big bun time he goes running to the door. This is the best place in town for finger steaks, mozzarella sticks, and corn dogs! My kids love the cheeseburgers and fries. Their ice cream cones are huge!! I highly recommend this place. I went in around 4:30 pm on Saturday. The whole process took about 10 minutes and the staff was friendly. I ordered 2 small mustard hot dogs and an order of onion rings. The hot dogs are like what you would have in your backyard, they're okay. The onion rings have a good batter which didn't fall apart but somewhat bland. The onions inside were a bit squishy. This was our 5th stop on Burgerpalooza--in search for the best effing burger in B-town. We gave this place an average of 3.37 stars. So, definitely an a-ok experience. We did find their burgers a cut above the burgers we were served at Fanci Freez (since they've now merged with Fanci Freez, we were concerned it would be pretty much the same food). Their highest marks came in the fries category. Their lowest marks came in the freshness category. What your dealing with here is your basic burger experience without anything terribly memorable about it. The patties are frozen which, as we're now 5 stops into this burger adventure and we've yet to come across a place that doesn't use frozen patties (bummer), has become sadly commonplace. The veggies and burger buns were also lacking in freshness. Their fries, though definitely tasty, also likely had frozen origins (as with every other stop so far). I feel like, my review isn't matching the 3 star result and sounding more 2 stars. It really was a 3 star experience. I guess 5 stops in, I AM a little disappointed at the frozen meat/fry thing. However, did it get the job done? Yes. Was it delicious? No, but it was solid. Would I go back? If convenient, yes. I did not partake in this place prior to the Fanci Freez merger so I cannot comment on whether the food is up to the usual Big Bun par but for us it was a-ok. read more

My hubby and I are always on the search for the best burger/fries at a decent price. Lately, we're getting older and don't prefer to be "stuffed" when we leave a diner, so we've been doing some splitting. On this visit to Big Bun, we each had a bacon cheeseburger, and we split the drink and the fries that came in the meal. Plenty of food for our taste, the burger was quite good, nicely prepared, cooked well *not overdone or burnt*. Cheese was melted, bacon was cooked perfectly and of good quality. The fries were not quite up to my preference, but certainly they were not unpleasant. Seasoning was done correctly *not too salty*. Hooray for a locally owned place where you can get delicious vegan fast food! Stopped in for the first time on a Saturday afternoon, and ordered the vegan impossible burger with vegan pepper jack cheese and all the fixings. I was even more impressed to see they offer vegan fry sauce, and vegan shakes & cones!! Many flavors too. I got a classic chocolate shake with my meal, and enjoyed every bit of it.
