Came here today to get my tire fixed since I got a flat last night. I was able to easily make an appointment online for today. Staff was super friendly and helped us get it all set up. They were a bit busy at the time so they said it would be at least 40 mins to 1 hr before they could actually check on the car. While we waited we walked to downtown Brea and back. About 1hr 15 mins after checking in, the car was ready. Thankfully they were able to fix the tire, but it was a bit surprising that it was $45. They didn't mention the price before that point. I wasn't expecting free, but I also wasn't expecting $45. Overall it was very convenient and were able to fix my tire.

Last minute, I needed service cuz I had dinner plans but had ran over a tire strip on the freeway and my car kept making a lot of noise like I was dragging something. Got home and started calling around. Everyone had availability in an hour and I needed to be done within the hour. Big O Tires came to the rescue. They were getting ready to close up soon, but said they could take a look at my car. I rushed over. They lifted my car and apparently whatever I ran over hit my skid plate and it was dragging and now messed up. They removed it for me and didn't charge me. Said it was on the house. Very cool. Now, I just need to order a skid plate somewhere and have it installed some time. They said I can bring it to them and they'll do it for me. I wish I had some $$ at the time to pay them a little something for helping me out. I only had Bennies and credit cards. I will be more prepared next time!

He is Neel the owner (as you might've guessed) of this establishment on Imperial Hwy, which is thankfully not too far from us. He diagnoses quickly, gets the job done efficiently, charges reasonably compared to other mechanics we've gone to in the area, and above all is a man of integrity--he's allowed us to pay for certain repairs days later to make sure our car is running properly first. He is transparent about his shop's limitations (they don't do German cars but refer us to highly rated shops nearby). He is clearly very experienced and knows how to weigh the best repair options, especially for older vehicles. I plan on relying on Neel for years to come. Cheers!

They were busy but insured me it would only be about two hours for an oil change, break inspection, and tire rotation. It was a great feeling to just get the service and feed back you requested. Thanks Neel and Hector for the honestly, professional input, and transparency. Look forward to working with your company in the future. Only downside is parking. Be patient and you'll find one.

I got my oil change done, simple as that. The problem came with the extras... they tested the battery, and for some reason it came back as "low, needs replacement" (I'll explain the dubiousness in a sec). They wanted to charge me $350 for an AGM battery, even tried to upsell on it. Side note: granted I arrived at the tail end of their day, but they also didn't check transmission fluid. Something to consider. Needless to say, didn't take the first offer presented, as I went to a local parking lot and called AAA, have them do a remote battery service for a second opinion. And guess what they found? The battery was operating normally. Far and away from the results shown to me on the valvoline worker's iPad. Which indicates that someone was lying. Out of the blue, this seems an isolated incident, a one in a million chance; but I have it on good word from a local FB group that this is happening with other folks as well.. not with batteries necessarily, but crucial items such as transmission fluid supposedly very low, when in fact it was their oil. Out of respect for going there for years, I will not say names... but I must affirm that this is the one time any type of doubt is put in place for this establishment. And such doubt (not to mention potential for flat-out lying to the customer, all for the sake of making extra at the end of the day) is something I simply cannot stand by. Please, beware: it is genuinely nice to go here for the convenience... but it's a shame that I feel I almost always need a second opinion to do any kind of service done for my vehicle. If the point of Valvoline is to be a reliable/trustworthy one-stop shop for any quick service... in terms of trustworthiness and reliability, they are failing here. And I urge retraining or a QA audit on the location to ensure that trust is rectified and genuine. Thanks. TLDR; oil change good, love the convenience, seeds of doubt/potential deception when checking battery (between Valvoline, AAA), urge QA best practices are followed or risk widespread criticism

Something to consider if you do have to wait for your services to be completed there is a very nice walking trail that is literally steps away from their location , and if you walk a little further we're talking maybe 50 yards you're able to take advantage of the Birch Street area and where there's Coffee shops, and several very different restaurants which are we all great. I wanted to share this experience as a safety warning…read more I took my 1966 Ford Mustang to America's Tire Depot in Brea for one job: replacing all four tires. Shortly afterward, while preparing the car for a Route 66 trip, the rear of the car developed a loud clunking noise. Since I had recently serviced the rear differential, I believed that might have been the cause. Because my brother-in-law had a scheduled flight from Albuquerque and we were on a strict timeline, we decided not to take the Mustang on the trip. After returning home, I put the car on jack stands to inspect the differential. Before doing anything else, I removed the rear wheels and discovered that both rear wheels were loose enough that I could loosen the lug nuts by hand. One rear wheel was also missing a lug nut entirely. The wheel spacers showed fresh metal damage where the loose wheels had been moving against them (see photos). I had previously removed and reinstalled the front wheels myself while repacking the front wheel bearings, and those lug nuts were still properly tight. The rear wheels had not been removed by anyone after America's Tire Depot installed the new tires. In my opinion, failing to properly torque lug nuts is one of the most serious mistakes a tire shop can make because wheel installation is their primary responsibility. Had I continued driving, the outcome could have been much worse. I'm posting this so others will check their lug nut torque after having tires installed. If you use this shop, I strongly recommend verifying that your wheels have been properly torqued before leaving.

WARNING: Local Honesty vs. Corporate Corruption…read more I am sharing this as an act of service to the community. I have been driving for over 30 years and have never once experienced a shop completely omitting a vital engine part for a simple oil change--until now. The Incident: Before this incident even occurred, I had opened a Firestone credit card and started moving all of my family's vehicles to this location because of the excellent customer service provided by the store manager, Brian. I was an established, loyal customer. That trust was shattered when I brought one of my cars for a simple oil change in August 2025. Months later in May 2026, I had another facility perform the subsequent oil change and they discovered that Firestone had completely left out the oil filter element. My vehicle was driven for a few thousand miles with absolutely zero oil filtration, cycling road grit and abrasive contaminants directly through the engine block. And now has a loud engine noise. The Local Response (The Good): When I discovered the error and contacted the shop, Brian was incredibly sympathetic and professional. He took immediate accountability, explicitly promised me a full service refund, spoke directly with the staff members who messed up, and assured me that steps were being taken so this would never happen again. Brian handled a crisis with genuine integrity. The Corporate Bad Faith (The Ugly): The nightmare began when the case was handed to Bridgestone Corporate Claims because I requested an internal engine inspection and test. Dealing with them has been a masterclass in unresponsiveness and open contempt. A customer service representative actually hung up on me when I tried to complain about the missing oil filter. More shockingly, corporate actively stepped in and reneged on the refund Brian promised me. Brian later had to inform me that corporate headquarters explicitly instructed him not to provide the $90 refund. Forcing a local manager to break his word to an established, card-holding customer is deeply unethical. Corporate completely failed this relationship. The Reality: After researching this online, I realized this is a shockingly common corporate playbook for them: deny, delay, and stone-wall the customer until they get exhausted and go away. I engaged the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) which has opened a formal investigation into this facility. If you have experienced corporate negligence, cut corners, or unfair business practices, do not let them get away with it. Report a complaint with the BAR. You can easily file a complaint online. The BAR actually investigates these facilities, and it is the only way we can force corporate giants to have some accountability. Brian is a good manager, but he is trapped working for a predatory corporate system. When a company ignores a clear mistake, it feels deeply personal. It's not just about the $90 fee; it's about the fact that they essentially gaslight you, pretending a major mechanical error and negligence didn't happen while you are the one left with the anxiety. This story is not over and I'll provide an update later.
