I've lived near this location for close to 25 years. Over the years they have had different managers. That makes all the difference in the world. Most of the time they have been horrible, with an occasional "Honest Abe". Last time I went, total rip off.... went against my better judgement and didn't go to my normal mechanic. And sure enough, they called and said it would be over $1000 as "your brakes fell apart in our hands". I had them stop, had my truck towed to my mechanic, and sure enough, $250 later... new brakes. This weekend, a nail in the tire. Gave them another chance... the guy looks at it for 10 seconds, says its not fixable. Quotes me $229 for a new tire in my little Honda. Seriously? Take the tire less than a mile away, to American Tire Depot. They at least said the only way to know was to take the tire off. Left it there, 60 minutes later... "your tire is ready, we FIXED it, oh yeah, free of charge!!"... WON'T EVER GIVE BIG O ANOTHER CHANCE... thought they would change... but they are still a HUGE RIP-OFF!! read more

I have gone here three times and every time I visit this place I have had the same experience. The wait is always over an hour even for a simple oil change, they always try to upsell you on services or parts for your vehicle, and the customer service here is lackluster. I thought that maybe they were having an off day the first time I went in but after giving them two more tries, I doubt that I'll be visiting this store again. There are a lot of other stores that do the same services in the same shopping center and along the same street. I came in because my tire pressure light was on. They were able to squeeze me into their busy schedule first thing in the morning and checked my tires out. It turned out to just be a nail and they were able to patch my tire up quickly and informed I will need tires soon. Coles Notes: - Professional Managment (Sean and Brandon) - Inexperienced Tech(s) not following proper procedures - **Safety Issue**: Heavily Overtorqued Rear Wheels - **Safety Issue**: Undertorqued Front Wheels - Alignment equipment not reliable - Overpressure Tires I searched online for a tire quote for my BMW X5 35D and Big O Tires in Cypress came in about $100 lower than the quotes from surrounding America's Tire, Big O La Mirada, and American Tire Depot so I placed an appointment online for the following day. I received a phone call from Sean the next morning saying he would be hotshotting the tires in but also that the online quote wasn't reflective of the correct mounting price per wheel which was 24.99 rather than 17.99 on the quote. The reason mentioned was because it was a lower profile tire. I agreed to the increase in quoted price. I asked Sean about the free alignment check which was included and he said they would check things out no problem. Sean was very professional and upfront and mentioned that the tires should arrive in the afternoon and to come by after I finished some errands in the area. I arrived around 2:15 and was greeted immediately by Sean and he showed me the tires which had just arrived. Again he was extremely professional and lined everything up with my X5 to get the new tires swapped over. I spoke with Brandon as well while I was waiting for my wife to pick me up and he was professional and answered a question I had on the balancing equipment they used. I normally only go to Hunter equipped facilities which Brandon informed me they use a Coats machine which has worked well for them. So far in this process I saw no red flags and was picked up shortly after by my wife and Sean said they would give me a call when the work was done. I received a call at 5pm that the X5 was ready for pickup but the alignment machine was giving inaccurate readings and I would have to come back another day for the alignment check. I arrived, paid my bill and asked again about the alignment and received a slightly different story about how they weren't sure which model X5 mine was in the system (over 32) in addition to the sun causing issues with the alignment equipment. I disregarded it and went home which was only 15min away. When I got home I checked the tire pressures and they were all about 15-20psi over pressure. I lowered them all to 35psi hot as target is 33psi cold. I then checked wheel torque on the first rear driver wheel at the target of 103ft-lbs. They all clicked without any stud movement so I figured they were a bit over torqued. I reversed the wrench to disengage the studs and it was very hard. I was using a smaller 3/8" extension that actually broke which was alarming. I then switched to a 1/2" extension and I raised the torque wrench to 150ft-lbs to see if the wheel stud would disengage. It hit 150ft-lbs without any stud disengagement. I then called Big O and spoke with Brandon in regards to the issue. I mentioned very angrily about the problem and he was apologetic and mentioned I'd like to come by so he could see the issue so if anything broke there would not be any doubt. Upon arrival I proceeded to increase torque on my wrench to disengage the rear driver studs. It took ~170-180ft-lbs to disengage all rear wheel studs and thankfully none broke. I then proceeded to check torque on the front wheels and they were all under torqued ~65-75ft-lbs. Sean and Brandon watched while I did this and were very apologetic and mentioned how they had proper procedures in place to alleviate this issue and would be going over things again. I mentioned that this was unacceptable and requested that they look into the issue further with the specific tech involved in the work on my vehicle. In addition I requested that Brandon contact all applicable vehicles which had work performed by that specific tech and require them to come in for a complementary wheel re-torque to ensure their safety. My business was concluded and my conclusion is that the management needs to take further quality control actions before someone gets hurt. read more

I accidentally ran over the sidewalk and flattened both my ultracompact SUV's passenger side tires resulting in unrepairable damages to the tires. Given the vehicle is a 2018 production model and its ultracompact size make it fairly new in the market, most tire shops do not carry tires that meet the SUV's wheel specifications. Brought my car in because I headed tire leak. The gentleman behind the counter and African American preceded it tell me there was nothing wrong with my tire. I informed him that there is because I'm not one that puts Aaron it and explain to him that it's not driven often but my granddaughter is coming out and I want to make sure the tires going to be OK for her he explained to me that it probably leaks because I don't drive it! I WISH I COULD TAKE AWAY POINTS FROM THEM!!! IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARTS I DEFINITELY WOULD!!!!!! 0 stars wouldn't even suffice. I purchased my tires here and had them put them on. I went back roughly about six months later to get my tires rotated and the technician tells me that someone put the lugnuts on too tight and they were going to have to snap the Lugnuts off in order to get my tire off and rotated. He then informed me that it will be a $50 extra charge, I said well that shouldn't be since you are the last Company that touched those tires and you are the only people that adjusted those Lugnuts on those tires to that level of tightness, so I will not pay that 50 extra dollars. So I got my invoice and saw that they had noted that they broken the Lugnuts off, but I did not think to check to make sure that they had fixed it. About a month goes by, and I look at my tires and noticed I was missing a lug it, come to find out that it was broke off. So THESE GUYS BROKE MY LUG NUTS OFF AND THEN NEVER EVEN REPLACED IT, THEY LET ME DRIVE OFF WITH ONLY FOUR OF MY 5 LUGNUTS ON. This company has no right what so ever to even be in business let alone to be working on your vehicle. This is the car that I used to transport my family and they just let me drive it off their lot and onto the road this in unsatisfactory condition and missing a lug nut!!!! I am absolutely a palled and disgusted by this location and this company!!!!! I will NEVER ever be going to another big O tires ever again AND NEVER will I trust them with the safety of my family and my vehicle!!! WORST TIRE SHOP IN HISTORY!!!!! read more

Much faster than the other 3 locations I have been to and the front desk rep didn't try to BS me or try to sell me expensive tires that my car definitely does not need. This was probably because he was younger with integrity and not an older shady looking dude who was an ex car salesman like it seems the other locations have.
