I've been going to this Big O for years and only recently have started to have an issue. I go to this location for an oil change but the last 3 times I have got an oil change they have told me something else is wrong with my truck. First time it was the engine belt, the second time was the fuel pump. My truck is always running fine before I take it in and always has something that needs to be fixed after. My son-in-law selects my tires for me and pays for them in advance. We have been quite satisfied with the quality and price of the tires over a number of years. However, during my last visit, I was dissatisfied with the wait time--over two hours, despite having scheduled an appointment in advance. That dissatisfaction might have been mitigated if someone had apologized and explained the reason for the wait. I will probably keep using Big O, but do hope they'll re-evaluate their service protocols. read more

I needed a tire on Sunday (day before labor day). They were the only ones open that had my tire size. Customer service guy was great, didn't catch his name but he worked the front on Sunday (9/6/20). I had to get one of my tires replaced and other places didn't have the size in stock but luckily they did. After I called to check about the tire being in stock I came in and was helped right away. I also price checked the tire from different places and Big O had the lowest price. The staff was friendly & helpful and the service was very quick. I'd been riding around on a donut for about a month so it was a relief finally getting the right tire on. I've gotten irritated in the past at other car shops so this was definitely a good experience being that it was my first time ever coming here. read more

So I'm writing this review on behalf of my dad. He doesn't really know how to work the web, so it was sorta like uhhhh, okay dad, I'll do the review for you lol. He was just SO happy with his service from Andrew & David at the north Pecos location he really wanted me to write his experience here! My dad has been a big client for discount tire for years. Lately he has been having issues every time he goes to discount tire. He had a appointment from two weeks ago to get new tires installed at discount tire so he goes after his graveyard shift at work. He shows up and they tell him it will be a 3-4 hour wait to get the car back even though he had a appointment. Then he was told it would be roughly a bit over $50 to get each tire installed. Again he had been a loyal customer to them. My dad finally left and said never mind thanks, went to this location and was charged wayyyyyy less and they were super nice to my dad. We all want everyone to be nice to our parents especially now that they're getting older, so to hear him rave about how nice & quick they were ( under 30 mins ) I think they got themselves a new customer for life. I figured I should post a review just because these guys really did exceed my expectations from the entire staff. First of all...it's not just a tire shop (which i always figured from the name). I was getting my grooming van washed and I happened to catch one of the guys outside the shop. I had a check engine light on. They were super friendly and helpful and they got it in right away. They totally made accommodations for my busy work schedule and even gave me a ride. Ultimately, they had to deliver bad news about my van, but I can't really hold that against them. They did everything they could and I was really pleased with their customer service. read more

Absolutely horrible and dangerous experience with this repair shop. Went in and we were told that the oil pan and the casing on the engine needed to be replaced due to a small collision with debris. It took them a week to get that repaired and $2400 and I went in on Halloween night and was told they'd inspected the car and revved it up and everything looked great, at least that's what "the team you trust" told me. I wasn't even out of the parking lot and tapping the gas made an awful sound. I made sure that I wasn't crazy and the sound persisted. I went right back in and they said they would have to get to it the next day. I didn't hear back for two days when I called them annoyed that no one had followed up. Then I was told they actually needed to replace the whole entire engine, and they told me it would be an additional $1500 and that took another two weeks to repair. My wife goes in this time(it's her car) to pick it up. They assured us that they had driven the car and everything was installed and running perfectly and that they drove the car up and down the road. My wife got into the car, again, didn't even make it off the lot, and heard a noise that almost sounded like a massive piece of the engine was falling out the bottom of the car, then the engine completely turned off and wouldn't turn back on and made a very awful noise. She walked back in, now for the 3rd time of dropping our car off. They had the car for the night and I called yesterday and the man on the phone vaguely told me the issue had been resolved, when I asked what the issue was you could tell he was not comfortable informing me by his tone, and he said the transmission wasn't properly bolted into the car. The transmission, wasn't securely fitted to our vehicle. I was furious. My wife drives this car, my sons car seat is in the back and he is frequently in this car and now two times, "the team you trust" and their expert mechanics have assured us the car runs great and everything is in order. My wife was driving to meet us that night. My three year old could have been in that car had it actually made it off the lot. Our lives were placed in jeopardy due to negligence that occurring twice in a row is borderline criminal. I do not feel safe with the mechanics at this shop. I do not trust my family to be in that vehicle after we've received multiple assurances that have been empty promises that in the right circumstance would have put our lives and the lives of others on the road at risk. This situation is the worst I've gone through with any mechanical repair shop I've ever worked with. I'm currently waiting from a call from their district manager, but his workers putting the lives of their clients at risk apparently isn't a priority for him because it's almost been a day without hearing from him. Please do not risk your safety or that of your families by doing business with this repair shop. They are not the team you trust. They are the team that misdiagnoses the real issue, botches the repair, then releases a dangerous vehicle to you with the assurance that it has been completely repaired, and thereby putting your life on the line! Update: I've filed an official complaint with the BBB due to the fact that I was told that their district manager would contact me in 48 hours and it has now been 96. This clearly demonstrates that even the upper management of Big O doesn't care that their clients are receiving unsafe vehicles. read more

Big RIPOFF dont use them for car repairs! I took my suv there for a bad harmonic balancer. Mind you I have been a loyal customer spent lots of $$$ over the years. They said there were no parts in town had to order one. Gave me a quote of $500 for the part. Took almost a week to get it. Meanwhile i checked with the local dealer they had OEM part for $340 in town. I cancelled the repair they charged me $109 for restocking fee before they would give me my key back. TOTALLY RIPPED ME OFF! DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE THERE. P.S. Got the job done locally for $520 out the door parts AND labor including two new drive belts. read more

I did have a mishap with my tire purchase and alignment at pep boys. I am still in the midst of trying to deal with the poor service received at pep boys. I did end up going to this location an alignment survey. I was given notice that my camera could not be aligned due to the fact that I was missing camber alignment pins. Unfortunately, Big o did inform me that there was a piece on the frame that needs to be welded that was missing. That was not the case, they were simply some alignment pins that get popped in to an existing hole. After I repaired the alignment pins, I did buy a camber alignment kit from dirt King fabrication to correct my Camber alignment issues. Unfortunately, when I did return for an alignment after pep boys replaced the tires, I was informed by Big o that they would need to remove my upper control arms in order to adjust my Camber. I informed them that I did not need to move the upper control arms in order to install this kit. All that is needed, is to simply loosen the bolt and set the alignment plate and the desired location, and then tighten the bolt. read more

I've been to this place twice and each time it was AWFUL customer service. I'm personally a woman who gets a little intimidated coming to an auto shop so as it is I'm anxious. The first time I came to get my tires balanced out. I made an appointment for this but I still sat there for 2 hours. Once I asked what the heck was going on the associate just said I was up next. No apology or anything. Today I went to get the pressure in my tires checked. 2 guys looked me dead in the eyes but just walked by. Am I invisible? When the third guy walked by I called out for him for help. He said he would get someone over in 2 min... the mechanic comes over, doesn't say hi, nothing, checks my tires and says "You're good." Maybe they were rude because these services are free? That doesn't give them the right to be rude. If I have to pay that's fine, just give me some good customer service! read more

Even though I get all my repairs done at Big O Tires, I went to them today because I will be doing some travelling and wanted my car to be serviced. The staff at Big O did a fabulous job checking out all that needed repair/service and they dedicated much effort in performing a great job on my car. Everything they examined on the car, they consulted with me as to what needed immediate attention and what could be done at a later time. I was very grateful for all they did. Anyone else might have charged me for brakes on all four wheels, but they told me I only needed front brakes and wait on the back ones at a later time. I didn't realize how heavy my car felt as I was driving, but after all the service they performed, the car felt so much lighter. My car is 9 years old and felt like it was brand new. My Big-O Tires Team took very good care of me and I will continue to use their service for all my car needs. Thank you. read more

I only deal with Ernie when I need work done for any of my cars but Ernie wasn't there on Saturday I have been going to big o tires for my car repair for years now but this time the place seam to be going in the wrong Direction I took my car in on Saturday for a over heating issue and to have my premaintenance done on it I drop it off at 7 in the morning on Saturday the 17 of aug never heard from them until I went back to get it before closing to be told that they never could get it to over heat On them and they never did the per maintenance on it because the service advisories never wrote any thing up on it so I started to drive it home and in like ten minutes it started over heating on me I pull over took some picture of the gauge and drove it back to big o tire was told well can you bring it back in the morning so we can check it out I brought back Sunday morning they call me like hour later to tell me that the thermostat needed to be replace I told them they had just replace it on 10-18-18 well sorry we don't have it being done I told them I still have the invoice from the work being done was told could I bring it in for them to see it so when I got there and show the invoice I was told the Radiator had a small hole in it as well and the radiator needed to be replace now don't know how it went from the thermostat to a radiator and then was ask if i would be doing the pre maintenance on it today I said yes since that what I brought it in for I was told they would need to keep my car till Monday because they would need to call the warranty company monday morning to see if the radiator was cover in my plan and would call me first thing Monday morning to up date me I never heard from there so I went back on Monday morning around 10:30 to find out they haven't even call the warranty company yet for the radiator to be replace if I didn't go back in no telling how long I be waiting for my car to be fix today got a call from chad around 2 pm to tell me that they had order the wrong radiator for my jeep and that he wouldn't be able to fix it today now it going on day 4 to get my Jeep fix don't know if Ernie is still working there or what but it seem when they are no manger there no one know how to do the job I have had three Different Service advisors stared with James then some other guy and now chad writing work order on this Jeep for the work that need to be done on it don't think I will be bring any of my cars there anymore I ask if Ernie was still working there and was told no he quit about a month ago well was sorry to hear that he was gone I will be finding a new auto shop for my car for now on read more

Been going to this store for several years mostly for tires, been fantastic in that regard. Last visit was for flat repair and oil change, had them check for oil leak issue and mechanic found bad gasket on oil filter housing. For a few dollars I had them replace the gasket and voila.... no more oil leak. The leak was costing me about 1 qt of oil every 750 miles which gets expensive. Other shops could not seem to find the leak or they just did not care. Elliot, Michael and Fernando were fantastic. I believe Big O will not only be my #1 tire shop but service stop as well. Based on my experience, don't try to order tires from here. I ordered tires online that said they were available same day. When I called to confirm my appointment, they said they did not have the tires, and asked me to drive to the store so they could place the order. I did that, then was told they could not place the order because it was Friday, and asked me to call to remind them to order on Tue. I tried calling Tue, but I got a message saying their phone was disconnected. So I drove there again, and was assured the order would be in Wed and they would call. After receiving no call Wed, I called to ask if the tires were in, and I was told they would call back in a couple minutes. After 30 min, I drove there to check. They still hadn't ordered the tires, and I even got some attitude like I hadn't followed their directions. I shouldn't have to beg to buy something, so I told them to forget the order. Drove across the street to a competitor who is putting on the tires I wanted as I write this. I paid a little more, but at this point I don't care. read more

We purchased my tires for my vehicle in October 2016. The person that helped us at the store was Trent Austin. Trent was friendly and very knowledgeable. While waiting for my tires to be installed, we inquired with Trent about tires for my sons vehicle who was going away for college in Utah. He explained to us in great detail the type of tires my son will need for the type weather conditions that he will deal with northern Utah. Trent reassured my husband and I that the tires he suggested for my sons vehicle would be the best and safest option. That really eased my mind so we purchased the tires for my son on December 2016. One day before leaving for our trip to Utah, my husband had an issue with one of the tires and the lug nut broke. I immediately called Big O Tires and spoke with Trent. His customer service was on point because he remembered who I was. I explained the situation and he informed me to bring the vehicle over so they can inspect the issue. We came over 30 minutes before closing and they fixed the issue right away. We live in Southern Highlands and there is a tire shop less than 2 minutes from my house as well as another tire shop less than 10 minutes away on Blue Diamond. Since we have had such a positive experience with Trent Austin and the rest of the Big O Tires team in Henderson we will drive to this location because of the exceptional service they have provided my family. read more

I had a bad tire and wanted to buy a new replacement. I was told there would be an additional $20 charge to put the new tire on. UNBELIEVEABLE, $20 bucks in addition to the cost of the tire, no exceptions - Obviously Walmart, Firestone, Discount Tire, etc. would be better choices. Rip Off! Terrible customer service. Came in for an oil change. They told me it would be an hour maybe a little longer. I get that. I didn't have an appointment. However, no updates from them on my vehicle and 2 hours later I'm finally asked to wait in line to make payment before they give me my keys and because my husband was paying over the phone they asked me to step aside (since the transaction takes longer than swiping a card.) He then cashed out 2 other customers behind me in line that had also come in after me and took 2 phone calls before even starting my transaction. And I was told that it was my fault for not having an easier payment method. Never coming to this location again. read more

Russ at big o was incredible. I dropped my tire off so they could figure out why it went flat. Not only did they fix it in less than 30 minutes, they didn't charge me a dime. They wouldn't even accept a tip. My tires are $400 a piece and they could have easily tried to sell me a new one. Their integrity will make this my number one tire store from now on. I took my car to this location to get the tire pressure checked on my tires. The gentlemen behind the counter told me to just pull my car in to the first bay. So I did. As I was doing this an employee that was working in the garage started yelling at me to not pull in the bay. Very rude and unprofessional!! I left! Will never be back!!! read more
