A very good experience! Came in for an oil change and also, the dreaded "check engine" light was on. I read the reviews on this place then went online to their Big O website and printed out some useful coupons. I had to do the high mileage oil to the oil change because I have an older car, (2004 Ford Freestar Van), and also the power steering fluid needed to be flushed and the PCV valve hose had to be replaced. Chuck, the service manager was very helpful. He gave me a total estimate on the needed repairs then when I handed him my stack of coupons he helped me figure out the the best deals for me with some substantial savings. I did have to leave the car for a couple of hours because they had to get dealer parts but not a problem. No more "check engine" light! We are very happy with the job well done! I've been a customer at this location since at least 2014, when my late mother brought my wife and I in to get our cars serviced. We've spent over $6,000 at this location. We had to go to a different Big O recently for my wife's mustang, where we were told our tie rods were original to the car and needed to be replaced. Tie rods that were supposedly replaced by your store in December of 2014. I have the receipt for this transaction, though your store conveniently "does not have records that go back that far." Who knows what else your team has claimed to fix in my vehicles and simply charged me while doing nothing. So I checked our receipts, and lo and behold, you guys recommended that we get our front brakes (pads AND rotors) changed in December of 2014, and again in December of 2015. We trusted your team and got the work done both times. I guess it was our fault for trusting you guys to not charge us needlessly for things. Your team took advantage of this, unless you honestly believe that one year is the lifespan of brakepads and rotors. Ernest Keyes, your store's manager, explained this by saying that our warranty on the previous year's brake job had expired 8 days prior to that service. Does your team regularly replace brakes yearly? Despite this, upon learning of these issues, my wife returned to your store on Monday, Feb. 6th, with her dad to attempt to get the issue resolved. She was told that your records of service do not go back far enough, and that you guys were a different company back then (nevermind the fact that it has been Big O Tires the entire time, and that Ernest was who we spoke with the first time we came in in December 2014.) She was there for two and a half hours while your staff argued with her before finally agreeing to change the lugnuts. If the lugnuts were actually changed and that wasn't another lie, they were done improperly, because she still ended up needing new lugnuts from Discount Tire (right across the street from your store). I have receipts for all of the work referenced. I am happy to provide them as proof of this awful, years-long experience. We were loyal customers, we trusted you guys, and your team took complete advantage of us. The level of service being provided at this location is appaling. I had a leaking tire repaired at this Big O Tire shop a few months ago and the repair held up fine. Today, the same tire was losing air again so we took it back to the same Big O location. We were told the tire needed to be replaced and we agreed. They then told us we needed the Key for our locking wheel lugs. We looked all over and it was missing. The Last people to use it was the tech at Big O and it appears they never gave it back to us. NOW they want to charge us $250 to remove ALL the Wheel Locks Plus charge us over $800 for tires they have advertised for $500 including ALL fees on their website. A total RIPOFF. BUYERS BEWARE of the shady business practices and pricing from these people. I will NEVER buy ANYTHING from these people again and will tell Everyone I know to stay away. I'm 65 years old and they are taking advantage of a Senior citizen. BEWARE so YOU Don't get RIPPED OFF as well. They purposely did not give back my wheel lock so I would have to go back to them for any type of work. I'll pay more Elsewhere before I give them 10 cents worth of work.....PERIOD. read more

Went in for an oil change they must have put like half a quart of oil in. My car was bone dry INSIDE OF 2 WEEKS. THE WORST!!!

Had an oil change job this morning. Got home opened the hood and the oil filter was never replaced. Good thing I put the date on the oil filter. Tire rotation was never done. I don't know if they really did the 22 point vehicle inspection that they were supposed to do. I had to go back to the shop to have them replace the oil filter and the oil. Geoff opened the door for me and stayed late until the job was done right. I won't use another shop unless I absolutely have to. 2 years ago I took my care there to get new tires they had a GREAT DEAL! .....bad idea. They talked me into replace brakes as well ....bad idea. The brakes started making terrible grinding noises 3 days later so I took it to Midas and they had to replace all of it and stated they the wrong kind of pads. Today I discovered the tires they put on the car were not used but already 5 years old when they put them on. I'm having new tires put on again but this time by Goodyear. read more

Came in to purchase a tire and they told me I had to order and it would be 3-5 days. 2 days passes and I call to get an update and he tells me it wont be here for another 5 days putting me at a week driving with a hole in my tire. I explained that a week to get a tire is a lot longer than 3-5 days and they told me that weekends don't count and its business days. I would have loved to have known that before I spent 300.00 on a new tire. Because I cant drive for a week without a new tire I had to pay a restocking fee of 20% for a tire that still wont be here for 5 days. Purchased 4 tires that took 2 1/2 hours to install once in the shop (mounted backs on front). Less then 100 miles sense broke, they installed a new one and charged me for labor and replacement part. Took the broken censor to another Big O shop and they stated that it was very likely cracked during the tire mounting and broke while driving. The shop person said it happens or that I hit a curb and broke it. Front service good - shop service very bad. Did talk my neighbor out of using this shop and he purchased for new tires from Discount. Less then $100 censor repair cost you $1,600 sale from the neighbor. read more

Dishonest, untrustworthy, crooked, and theives are just a few words that come to mind when I think about Big O Tires Service Centers in Henderson. I decided to go to Big O for a simple belt repair job because they are closer to me, it was late in the day, and the usual repair shop I go to was busy at the time. Since it was going to be a fairly straight forward repair and inspection, I thought that Big O could handle it. I took in my truck to Big O and explained the problem and what I thought would resolve it. After inspection I was told that it was a bearing for the Water Pump, and not the belt that I had originally thought. Instead of it being around $100 to fix, it would be closer to $550. I was also given the usual Big O treatment and told all of the fluids needed replaced at an additional cost of around $500. It is something they tell people so often that they have an abbrevation for it. They call it the Premium Preventative Maintenance Program or PPMP for short. Having dealt with shady auto shops in the past I have a rule that anything that is different from what I think the problem is I will get a second opinion from a shop I trust. After being told it was a different part, I followed my rule and took it to someone I trust here in town. As I expected, when I took the truck to my regular repair shop I was told that it was a problem with the belt and the tensioner. I was able to get them both fixed for a little over $100 instead of the $550 that Big O wanted. I was also told that my fluids were just fine and they did not need replaced at this time. Had I gone with the recommendation from Big O, I would have spent over $1,000 on something that was $100 to fix. The worst part about this for Big O is that had they been honest, they would have earned this job and possibly more jobs in the future. Instead now they lost this job, and I have already told 12 different people to avoid their shop. read more

I had a tire trouble 6 months ago and I brought my car there. A man at the front office said "I can sell you a brand new tire, but your tires look new. Why don't you go to the shop where you bought these tires,so warranty might be still working for you." That was right. I replace for my tire for just $12. I was very impressed by the Big O Tires. I had a another car trouble a month ago, so I just went straight to the Big O Tires. An another man estimated $1000 for repair. I wanted second opinion about it so went to another repair shop. I did not tell them anything about the Big O Tire's estimate.They fixed right away and did not charge me because it is such a small problem. Car has been running just fine since then. Big O Tires offered me unnecessary repair. I know there is at least 1 honest person but I don't feel like going back to Big O Tires again. read more

Here's why I give Big O Tires in Henderson five stars... Because they don't have 10. We've been a customer of this location for about a decade, and the entire family takes their vehicles in for service. I can't stress enough how comforting it is to know that when you send your daughter or wife in that they receive Superior Service without being overcharged or taken advantage of. I highly recommend them for your out-of-town friends to have their phone number in their phone so they have issues when in town, they simply go in and see those guys especially early and have their issues taken care of efficiently and quickly. My tire pressure was low and I discovered my tire had gotten a nail in it, so I called around to see who could fix my tire for a reasonable price. I called BIg O and they said they don't charge for that, since its such a minor repair. So I decided to go with them. I was busy working so my boyfriend on his day off, took my car down there for me to get it taken care of. He noticed it was pretty busy, he ended up waiting almost 2 hours, finally they told him it was all done and informed him that I needed new tires and gave him a quote. So a few days later I noticed my tire pressure going down again, and my boyfriend checked it and saw a nail. The same nail that he took it in to get repaired for, so basically they did nothing but try to sell him some tires and make him waste 2 hours waiting on his day off, and I was driving it unsafely for the rest of my work week. Yes he should've checked the tire upon leaving Big O, but generally when someone tells you the jobs done, you believe its done. Or else what was he waiting for? I guess thats what you get for free ..nothing. So I do not recommend going there for any service if this is the way they do business. Terrible way of doing business, terrible service..dishonesty is something you don't want when taking your car in for service. If they would have done the work, we probably would've gotten my tires from them also. But now, never again will I go to a Big O. Beware. read more

Came here to get new tires, because my tread was getting pretty low on the front two. Ended up selling me all four, and I can't honestly tell you if it was absolutely necessary or not.. But its ok, because now they are all new. About a week later I left town and parked my car at the airport to come back to my rear tire completely flat. Upset because I had just gotten new ones, but they said it was under warranty so I took it back in. First staff member wasn't the friendliest, and I waited an hour and a half for them to patch a hole or find what was wrong. They came out to say they couldn't find anything wrong with it( after putting it in water to see bubbles and everything. etc..) I was pretty upset, but figured, well If it gets flat again I will just bring it back. Literally, 4 days later the exact same tire.. flat. Thankfully I have an air pressure pump at my condo because there is no way I could of even drove to a gas station. I filled it, and as I was putting the cap on the gauge, I see a very thick, and metal something sticking out in the tread. Exactly what had caused the initial flat. VERY upset, that they ' couldn't find it' I took it back, circled it in the brightest red lipstick I own and barged in. Store manager was there that day and was very nice and apologetic, and they patched the tire successfully. However, I don't think I will go back next time as it makes me a bit weary to know that tire tecs can't find a piece of metal sticking out of the tire. Also felt a bit like they tried to take me the first round since I was a female and was upfront about knowing nothing about car specs. read more

I just have to say, I had an issue with my break switch, I had little time to get it fixed, I needed to be at work. I stopped to see if they could replace the switch and if possible in less than 1 1/2. One of the mechanics came out to my car looked at switch on the upper break peddle. He said give me a second the nut is missing, he went to the garage came back and fixed the switch, all in like 5 min. They would not charge me anything... I want thank Hank and the big O team, saved me from a lot of aggregation and missing work. They will have my business and I will tell everyone I know. Do not do business here! This store if full of scammers. They claim they perform services on your vehicle, charge you, but don't actually do the services. Don't ever take a "store credit" for something they screw up. They threw out a nearly new tire on my vehicle and gave me a "store credit" for $80. However, when I went to use the credit, no coupons or standard discounts apply if you use a credit....scam! So I still ended up paying a lot of money for a service that should have more than been covered. Stay away! read more

On 1/13/2014 I went in to get my oil changed and get my tires rotated and balanced. I was in and out in an hour and 15 minutes. Upon arriving home I noticed that the rotate and balance was not done. The manager Earnie told me the mechanic forgot but I was charged for it. I asked for a refund and it is still two days later and I am still waiting since I was overcharged. I brought my truck to investigate a clicking noise, as well as loss of steering control. They kept truck for over 4hours before calling me and quoting me $770 for u-joint replacement in front end. 2hours later, called me again saying they weren't going to charge me anything because whatever they did, did not cure the problem. 15minutes after, I got yet another call saying they wanted to try one more thing, but needed me to leave it there until the following day. After not getting any other calls by 2pm the following day- I called them. He said they found the problem- a lower control arm on drivers side. When I showed up an hour after to pick my truck up, it still was not finished. My only choice was to wait in their lobby for an hour. The strange part was when I went to pay, the total for the control arm with labor, was EXACTLY the same amount previously quoted to me for a u-joint replacement! By this time, they were minutes from closing. Conveniently, no manager was available to discuss my issues with. I know for a fact that there is a much less cost for a control arm, than there is for a u-joint! In addition, I was charged 10hours of labor, for them to figure out what was wrong? They call themselves pros? More like crooks if you ask me! read more

If you want your vehicle fixed correctly DO NOT come here!!! The incompetence of the people working here is insane. I went in for two tires, one of with a screw on front passenger (which I feel maybe could have been patched) and the other back rear tire for sure needed replacing with a nail. I also got a wheel alignment, which was recommended and an oil change. I was told at drop off I would be getting Big-O tires with a 3 year warranty only upon pick up to find out they replaced them with totally different tires, no warranty unless I wanted to pay for it. Get home and upon further inspection I notice the two front tires are new and NAIL IS STILL IN THE back TIRE and they replaced the WRONG TIRE. I am livid at this point... do they not look to make sure they are actually taking the damaged tire off with the nail ? Are they blind? Drive all the way back and I can here they trying to find said tire out of the trash. They then take both tires off the back to replace correct one? Did they seriously take the wrong tire off again? And this is how the wheel alignment is done they say? Once I return home and have husband look at tire they quite possibly put a patched tire back on my truck. Also they replaced front two tires and new tires should go to the rear and now my new tires on the front! I am besides myself. DO NOT COME HERE take your business elsewhere! I went in to get a Front end alignment with an 11 a.m. appointment. The tech that helped me came out to the car and rubbed his hands on the tires as said there was a problem with your tires and that is why the car is pulling to the right. He said I can do the alignment but it won't help. So I found my extended warranty and managed to get them to cover the 2 tires. So with the sale going on I figured why not see about the other 2 tires with the deal they has of buy 2 get 2 or buy 3 get one. When I figured that scam out (wanting almost as much at the other 2 tires being covered) they add all the other options as mandatory so there is not real 2 Free tires just in the fact on the invoice it will show no cost. Moving past that, once we had the warranty issue figured out they said they needed to get the tires from another store (why did you not find ones you have in stock at your store first) In the meantime did he give me an offer of what kind of tires I wanted??? Nope he decided for me. So my buddy and I run a few errands and go to lunch expecting the car would be completed. Nope stuck at home with no car until wife gets home. Wasted the rest of my day. Come to find out that when I called at about 5p.m. they had not even finished putting on 2 tires. So the wife drops me off 20 minutes later and the car was ready. Get all the receipts and go on my way. Figured since I was in there for my FREE ALIGNMENT CHECK and have it done if that was the problem. Again no they never check for the alignment and now it was worse than when I first brought it in. The same Tech at that time became very rude because I was pissed that my day was wasted and they did not even take care of what the original problem was CHECK THE ALIGNMENT. So after being wronged he does not even care about customer service to offer me something for his failure to do his job. He asks the most condescending question to a pissed off customer. What do you want me to do for you. Well I want you to do your job take care of me and give me the alignment for free.(expecting him to man up and offer a discount.) Nope he goes to the chart and says these are the prices which one do you want. The cheap tech did not even offer the original price I was given earlier. So asked who the manager was and he tossed the car at me so I tossed it back to him. That's when he got extremely so I left and called the complaint line on him. But knowing how companies don't care I know they will not even call. So like the saying goes get wronged once SHAME ON YOU. employing such a rude person when your goal has been making guest feel like family. Went in to this location for an oil change as Big O was having a sale on oil changes. I was immediately shown a chart by the counter man (which I immediately recognized as a sales technique) and he tried to "bump" me from a $39.95 oil change to a $79.95 oil change which I politely declined. About 10 mins. later the same person stated to me that I have a front end alignment problem, that I needed a new rack and pinion and the part was leaking oil. Understand, I know a little about autos and for one, never saw any oil on my garage floor, nor did the car pull to the right or left nor did the wheels shimmy. I was then given a print our of all the repairs that (he said) were necessary. Bottom line, they wanted $1373.15 for the "repairs". He then proceeded to tell me that if the rack and pinion was not repaired, then it would leak oil which would lead to power steering repairs, etc. etc. Told him I would think about it and left. I then went to a shop in Vegas which specializes in front end work and alignments. (got them off of Yelp and they are HIGHLY recommended). Didn't tell them what Big O said, just told them I wanted a front end inspection. The mechanic comes back and tell me the front end (especially the rack and pinon) were fine-there were no leaks. (why was I not suprised?). The only problem he did find (and it was a minor one) was the rack and pinion boot was ripped or damaged and this was where the "oil leak" was coming from. BTW, the boot is kind of like a dust cover, if you will, for the rack and pinion. Bottom line the whole repair cost $114.11 and this included a toe set, rack and pinion boot and labor. Sorry for being so technical but I'm only trying to be fair. Needless to say I will not be going back to Big O as their mechanics are either 1. incompetent or 2. they are running a scam.
