It was hard to rate Coopers with 4 stars but I want them to succeed. I love the coffee and the breakfast. Three stars would be more accurate because I have a hard time going there due to the register girl does not brighten my day. She talks with an over the top condescending manner. It is so unpleasant. I love the coffee BUT have had the size of my espresso come out incorrect. I say I ordered a Regular size and BOTH TIMES GOT AN ATTITUDE FROM HEATHER. All I ask is for my drink to come the way I order it. When spending $8 for espresso, apple juice, and a pastry I expect to get what I order not an attitude for their mistake. The second time it happen I grabbed it from Mrs. Altitude and ended up spilling espresso everywhere because I had no room for cream....thus the reason I order a REGULAR. This is a very nice coffee house with warm decor, comfortable seating and friendly service. They brew Delano Coffee and I selected the House Blend. It is mellow and does not have a bitter aftertaste. I detected a note of Dingleberry. It was pleasing. Please check them out. read more

My first time here... First impression as I entered the coffee house, it's very cute, couldn't smell the coffee beans but it's okay... As I walked up to the counter, the young man was standing there waiting to take my order. I asked him what's number 1 here? His answer was that would be a difficult one to answer. I said "its fine". I shared with him how I like latte, but it has to be made just right.. Not too milky like Starbucks.. His respond to me (with the attitude) was, "well it's milky drink. It will taste like milk." Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but insight coffee and bloom make delightful latte.. I enjoy drinking espresso drinks that I could taste and smell the coffee beans, not bitter or just sweet from syrup. So I like the caffe taste alright -- atmosphere is nice, cozy, relaxing.. Just don't appreciate the attitude of the male barista. I will give it a second chance because maybe he is having a bad day.. read more

I popped in for a coffee this late afternoon. I am not one to support Starbucks, so I was looking forward to the local coffee house experience. Unfortunately, when I walked in all I could smell was cleaning supplies, it was so pungent I had to ask. I asked the guy if they had just cleaned or something and the guy working behind the counter said "yeah! We just cleaned our sinks out with bleach." I then ordered quickly just a regular half caff coffee. The guy let me know I could choose from anyone of their coffee's. But when I asked which was one brewed last, he then said they were all brewed at the same time. I asked when that was and he said this morning, and I then said then said what time? He said 5am. I was a bit frustrated as it now late in the afternoon (4pm)and I just wanted a cup of fresh coffee, after all I paid almost $3.00 for a medium size cup. I think asked how he knew that the coffee was hot? And how they kept it hot for the entire day like that...we went back and forth and then I suggested he just make me an americano! Cooper's has good breakfast pastry, an excellent breakfast burrito, and stellar coffees, and the service staff give a wonderful, personal vibe. The atmosphere, though, may be best of all. A mix of table-and-chair setups, a few of them outdoors, plus a few comfy chairs and a sort of livingroom/inglenook off to the side, featuring -- what else? -- a good, sturdy coffee table. Given my druthers, I'd be running my remote office from Cooper's every single morning. No wonder it's a favorite recoup and refresh spot for Folsom's Finest and the local CHP riders. read more

Stopped in here yesterday with all three of my girls as it is a new favorite of theirs whenever we find ourselves in the area, I can see why! They each got a blended ice coffee of many various flavors, and all were thrilled and pronounced it far superior to the 'normal place' they get their coffee treats from. I am not much for the blended coffee drinks and went with a traditional mocha no whip. It was deep and rich, with a great flavor. Considering their prices are on par with the normal chain coffee houses around town, I am certain we will be back here when we are in the area. read more

The first time I went to Coopers I thought I'd found my new coffee spot. The shop was cute and cozy. The coffee was hot and tasty, the chocolate croissant was perfection, and the staff was friendly. I returned three more times, staff was pleasant but the mochas tasted burnt and took a long time. Additionally, they were "sold out" of chocolate croissants at 7 am. First time I bought it but the following two made a pattern. I've gotten a few of the other baked good but they were unmemorable. I wanted to support this local business but I need reliable an efficient more than I need cute and local. read more

was excited to see folsom develop more new businesses, especially to look up this cafe since I get a lot of work done at cafes service was pleasant and friendly. Decent prices for food and drinks, and on a second visit, would probably choose over starbucks. I ordered the gingerbread latte, which had good foam, but in my personal opinion, the gingerbread flavor wasn't really distinguishable. Wifi was confusing since it wasn't the typical login (had to open internet explorer and go through a site login with the password instead of just seeing what local networks were available). The main thing that really bothered me though was the bathroom. It was clean, but more attention could be paid to when things are running out, whether it be TP or soap. I'm more a stickler for sanitation than most though, but my impression is when those things run low (and in this instance completely out of soap - I had to go to a neighboring store), it probably means the bathroom isn't being thoroughly maintained. Hopefully just an issue of reminding staff to be thorough! All in all, a decent place, and I would come again, but it has it's weak points to work on before I could say it's a favorite. read more

Very good! Hazlenut latte large $4.35. Blended drinks over $7.25 yikes! Three police cars at 3:39pm on a Saturday with a Starbucks so close you know this is a good coffee shop - I think they have tea but it was barely noticeable. Breakfast burritos look good! read more

Their breakfast burrito was really good and just the right portion size! I got a hazelnut latte which I enjoyed, but my husband got a double shot of espresso which tasted a little burnt compared to the espresso from our favorite spot. Overall great vibe and quick service. read more

This was my first time at Coopers and it was an amazing experience. The barista walked me through the drink menu and took the time to tell me how their coffee is different (they use Ghirardelli powder, not syrup). LOVE this place! So much more charming on the inside than its location in a strip mall. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff--Jaimie was the server who helped me. Good selection of pastries and desserts, some good breakfast choices--breakfast burritos and stuffed croissants. THey are VERY creative with their drink selections. Check their website's drinks section if you want to be inspired before coming in. Both coffee and non coffee based choices for folks with and without a sweet tooth (my tooth is as sweet as they come). I loved their blended banana mocha (I didn't add the peanut butter, which was on the menu). Fabulous chocolate chunks in the final product--some places mess that up in the blending process and the chunks all get blended down. Will definitely be back often! read more

I did find a new job and I'm not out in Folsom anymore but I do make sure to stop by every. single . time that I'm in town .
