When we arrived the place was 1/3 full and seated quickly and our waitress Valerie took our drink order Valerie was awesome, explained and answered our questions and then took our order. We order the yard bird (chicken Sandwich $17) it comes with chips that seemed to be homemade and some really good pickles. This sandwich at any regular place in a regular area of a town would be $10-$12 We also ordered a dirty dog (chili dog) Approx $17-$19 but it was a 100% beef frank and 1 foot long on a nice bun that was more like a nice roll cut in center and fries. The fries were awesome. Now most will say you paid what for a hotdog? Well it is over priced but but tasted really good. We also order a bacon cheeseburger and fries and it too was really good but approx $18-$20 way over priced. By the time we got our food which was pretty quick the place filled up and was packed. And when we walked out to go to the game the bar was also packed with 3-4 rows of people standing and watching the tvs. This place was pretty cool, looks like it may have been remodeled??? As everything looked clean and new. The ambiance was nice. The music playing was a great current mix of various varieties. Not too loud so that people could enjoy their conversations. Seemed to be a popular spot, convenient because it was located in the hotel. Service was also good. The waiter was attentive and kept the water refilled without asking, which is a plus for me. The best thing about this experience was the ice water. We ordered Buffalo wings. They were cold and lacked any flavor, similar to wings from a pizza chain. Sports bar connected to the Marriott. I ended up frequenting here during my trip more than I wanted to do to convenience of others. Stayed at the bar area all three or four times. You have to order at the bar and and then your food gets brought to you. Overall, very mediocre experience. I tried taco sampler. Decent except for the mushroom taco which was insanely salty. You get some toppings on the side but the shells pretty much is just the protein. I also had the wings in two flavors: truffle garlic Parm and mango habanero. They come in multiples of 3. These are the full "boomerang" wings. I should have just got 3 as I could only finish 5 in my sitting. I want to love these since they looked so good but were just lacking something... I do appreciate the amount of ranch provided though. The prices are what really got me. The printed menus did not have prices. The online menu did if you scanned the QR code. Biggios sits in the Marriot Marquis which has "The Lazy River" on the 6th floor deck so we thought we'd stop in for a drink but we were told that there was a $40 entrance fee just to go outside so we obviously rejected that & headed downstairs to the restaurant. Stopped for lunch on a Saturday and table for 3 was ready immediately. Although we had hoped to sit outside because the weather was nice, there was no outside seating today. Ordered 3 entrees and all were quick and tasty. Nice presentation of everything- even the kids meal. Our waitress was nice and stopped several times to check on us. The pineapple margarita was especially tasty. The prices are a bit steep ($90 for two adults and one child for lunch). The prices are my only reason for not getting 5 stars. My ONE drink (double shot) was $35! I could understand because Don Julio is supposed to be top shelf but the mix/drinks were terrible. I ordered two (double) margaritas and was charged $70. Really regret giving this place my hard earned money. They got us with the large screen so we went there for the us vs Mexico WBC game. Servers were very rude with bad attitudes and just overall apathetic. Food was average at best not terrible for the price. Worst part was the outrageously priced beer. You could not get a pint for less than $11 each! Insane! This included coors and other domestic beers that would cost about half at most places. I only found the prices when I checked online. They intentionally keep them off of the menus so I'm guessing people don't just walk right out and I'm sure most people are shocked when they get the bill. This is also probably a way for them to easily spike the prices during events without having to print new menus with increased prices. Avoid this place unless you have to watch the huge screen for some reason. Only reason I am giving it more than 1 star is because at least the food was average. Buyer beware. read more

Biggio's is named after the Hall of Fame second baseman who played his nearly 20-year career in Houston. Located inside the Marriott Marquis in Downtown Houston, it's mere walking distance from the ballpark he produced so many highlights in. I go to a few Astros games, and I've been lucky enough to where my visits to Minute Maid Park resulted in wins. When my favorite teams win, I usually like to eat somewhere before going home. We ordered the Three way Plater, with queso and nachos, chicken tenders and Texas jalapeno poppers. Also ordered the Bison burger as well. The jalapeno poppers were warm on the outside and cold on the inside, the queso was clumpy. The tenders were okay, but the burger itself was not medium rare instead it was well done. What a disappointment. We made a reservation for 12 and we did show up with way more than anticipated but upon arrival, no tables were ready for us at an almost empty restaurant. Once they finally seated us, we were treated as a huge inconvenience. Both managers on staff basically harassed me about how many checks our group was allowed to have. So much so that I finally said "I understand, I've said 3 times I understand." The two managers were a mess. It took forever to even get drinks. Then they tell me there's a fee for our cake. Ok...fine. $50 for an outside cake? Fine. Then she offers to cut it and serve it and says "oh, that's an additional $50." What? No, thanks - well cut it ourselves. They've made not one thing pleasant thus far. No drinks were refilled, I cleared the plates of all 5 of our tables. Not one staff helped celebrate my daughters birthday. We felt totally unwanted the entire time. We had to go to the bar for our drinks. Never again. Do better management...this is on those two women alone. So rude. Oh, food was great! Great place to watch games, tons of TVs and tons of seating, and they've also been very accommodating for my large family. Food and drinks are good as well.....some may find the price point a bit high, but to be in the middle of downtown, it's not that bad to me. Location is at the bottom of the Marriott Marquis Hotel, so very convenient for those staying there. My only issue came after my last visit when we received our checks, our initial tabs showed 1 total with gratuity added, but once our cards were swiped, somebody or the system added an additional amount, without that receipt being itemized, there was no way to know where that extra amount came from. I immediately found our server and she immediately fixed everyone's checks. So, we had friends in town from Seattle for the Astros-Mariners game on Sunday, September 21st 2025. The game was scheduled for 1:10pm and because of the playoffs scenarios, flexed to 6:10pm don't could be in prime time. We called ahead to make sure we could get in around noon and said we'd be there for about three hours. The hostess was kind and seated us immediately. We ordered drinks and some appetizers and the server was nice enough. After we received our initial order, we didn't see her again for over 30 minutes. Fortunately, another server took care of us! After this, we kind of latched on to the 'good' server and he helped us through the afternoon. The original server came back occasionally, but we opted to just stick with the dude where we could. The seats were comfortable and the food was pretty good. We got the pretzel, chips and dip, chili and a couple of other things. Im writing this review as I've been sitting here for 40 minutes already waiting for my food to arrive. It is a Saturday, now 2:40 pm. and the restaurant is not busy at all. I ordered a lemonade, some nachos and my husband a burger. My drinks were brought out but I'm still waiting for even the nachos that were on the appetizer section. I could have gone outside to the street trucks but my husband said if we'd go in the restaurant it may be quicker than waiting in the long lines outside. I'm so disappointed!! They finally brought the nachos out only to see they have ground beef on them. I clearly told them no meat. I cancelled my order as I was not about to wait another 40 minutes. What a disappointment!
